Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
Our two bedroom Coral Sands studio was on a corner of the row of rooms, with a small staircase leading into the communal garden. The apartment is a bit dated, but immaculately clean and well maintained.
The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The location is ideal. A three-minute walk to the beach and directly above the "village center" with a bakery and shops.
We would choose the Blue Lagoon Lodge again on our next stay.

Adult family of 5 plus 7 month old grandchild spent 1 week here at the beginning of December. From our first contact via email with Des, to the family members running the property Janine, Craig & their staff, we had a wonderful time. Our accommodation was great - simple, clean & functional - perfect for a holiday where we wanted to spend time together, relax & not have to worry about anything. The Thompson family are friendly & helpful & made sure that we had all that we needed including cot, high chair, extra towels etc. Blue Lagoon is in a central location on the Island - close to the beach & lagoon , general stores, cafe & bar. For me it was a return to a gorgeous island I had been to several times as a teenager with my parents & I was thrilled to be sharing this experience with my family. Thank you to the Thompson family for making our time on Lord Howe so special.

Had the pleasure of staying at Blue Lagoon over the Christmas period. Was a very thoughtful touch for all the rooms to wake up on Christmas morning with a lil prezzie wrapped up in a palm leaf.
Throughout our stay, staff members were very warm.
Rooms have enough cooking utensils to whip up some meals. BBQ facilities and grounds were kept immaculate.
Can't fault the location either- if you're looking for your Lord Howe accommodation, look no further. 10/10

Simple, comfortable and the perfect location. These words best sum up the Blue Lagoon.
It really has the best position on Lord Howe Island being a 1 min walk to the shops, 2 mins to Lagoon Beach and the boatsheds and 5 mins to Ned’s Beach.
The rooms are basic but are clean, tidy and functional. The bed was comfortable, barbeques clean and all the amenities worked as they should. I’d give the paid wifi a miss though as it doesn’t work very well but then again that is part of the charm of LHI.
Everyone was also super helpful and nothing was too much trouble for Craig, Brian, Karen or Janine.

We just spent our third holiday at the Blue Lagoon. We love it. The studio room was big and comfortable with everything you need for a wonderful holiday. There are BBQs on the grounds, guest laundry, bikes for hire and transport by minibus to various restaurants. Close to the lagoon and Ned's beach. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Blue Lagoon is in the perfect location for everyone on Lord Howe. With a bunch of kids aged 5 - 17 it was perfectly placed between the Lagoon, the pier and Ned's Beach. Right next to a cluster of shops and restaurants, we couldn't have been happier. The owners were super friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

Online advertising photos may give the wrong impressions. The rooms are joined in the style of a 1980's outback motel. very very close... Forget about privacy, intamacy, peace and quiet. You share your neighbours TV habits, loud voices, cigarette smoke and late nights etc. There is no escape at night While the island is great, this accomodation is not what we imagined. After twice staying at Milky Way this was a sad come down. The grounds were tidy, staff are friendly and its a good location. Really needs a makeover or even a scrub would help.

Thank you for your feedback. Our rooms are close together, however, on our website you can see in our videos etc that this is the case. Usually, our guests are mindful of noise levels and this is not normally a problem. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms and guests are asked to smoke in the garden area if need be. We are slowly updating the premises. Our Malabar rooms have undergone a partial renovation and updates will continue around the Lodge. Kind regards.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 day mini break staying at The Blue Lagoon Lord Howe Island. The best position as you can walk a couple of mins to the lagoon and the jetty with a store and excellent takeaway next door. Night bus provided to dine out in the evening and pick up and return to airport included. Friendly helpful owners provide a clean and comfortable room.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at The Blue Lagoon Lord Howe Island. We cannot recommend it highly enough, from the welcome at the airport to the clean comfortable accommodation and the best location to the Lagoon, restaurant, bar and grocery/takeaway store. This was our first trip to Lord Howe Island but wont be the last. Thank you to the Thompson family for making our holiday relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back.

We had 2 x one bedroom Malabar rooms. Clean & comfortable, very dated. Lovely outlook over the tropical gardens which were beautifully kept. Janine collected us from the airport in a minibus. She was so lovely and gave us a little tour to show us where things were before taking us to our rooms. Julia and Manu were sweet and came and changed our towels. Beach towels are provided. It’s the best location. Right next to Thompson’s store and a one minute walk to The Anchorage and a one minute ride to the lagoon or less! We used their very retro transit unit to shower before our flight. We managed a snorkeling tour after checkout and before our flights left at 1:30 pm. Lovely Janine took us out to the airport. Perfect.
Highly recommend Blue Lagoon.

There is very little variation in the water temperature during the entire year. Presently the water temperature is around 23 TO 25C and during the winter months the temperature is around 21 to 23c. Between December and April would be the high temp
