It's hard to believe that this paradise is located in NSW! We stayed 5 nights on Lord Howe Island in 5 star accommodation 'Admiralty Apartments.' Located a short 100m walk from your private veranda to Ned's Beach where you can hand feed the fish. There are only 2 apartments, 4 guest in total at anytime, so very private. The rooms are spotless, bright airy, very generous in size, fully self contained, stunning bathroom with a free standing luxurious bath, laundry facilities, extremely comfortable bed. Every detail has been considered, from the welcome hamper full of yummy goodies, to beach towels, beach umbrellas, back packs for day trips, environmentally friendly products, 'head ache tablets' and even ear plugs. If there is anything that you need, the Hosts Grace and Steve will go out of their way to help you out, they will drive you to dinner, give you ideas on what to see and do, book day trips and always greet you with a smile. The location is perfect to just stay relax enjoy the lush tropical gardens from your veranda or snorkel, swim or walk along the beach. The main shops, restaurants and tour operators are a short walk or bike ride away. Can't wait to go back again and again.

We have just returned from our only 'overseas' travel destination after being locked down in Melbourne for much of the last 12 months. Lord Howe Island was always on our bucket list, so now was the time. Admiralty wasn't the cheapest, but I believe the best value for money as it had a great garden view and a short stroll (maybe 150m to Ned's beach which we liked best for snorkeling and picnicking on the grass). Whilst the weather is normally great, a rainy day and a long hike the day before gave us an excuse to enjoy a bath together in the recently renovated huge luxury bathroom. Total privacy, lots of free food and thoughtful things like firelighter and newspaper for the beach BBQ, and our hosts Steve and Grace were so very genuinely interested in us having a great 10 year anniverssary.
We stayed 4 nights at Admiralty apartments, and 3 nights at a slightly cheaper accommodation - only because there was nothing available for the whole week due to the high demand. Even though you spend much of the day taking incredible hikes or snorkeling in the maritime wonderland, we found it worth the extra bucks to stay somewhere that we really enjoyed, as opposed to a roof over our heads. When it costs so much to fly there, makes no sense to skimp on old dark small accommodation.
Highly recommended!

First time to Lord Howe Island and loved every bit of it. Steve & Grace were fantastic hosts and our private unit was beautifully furnished and well equipped with many thoughtful extra touches to make you feel at home. Although we were held up with Cyclone Uesi, Grace and Steve were extremely accommodating and we felt as though they genuinely cared for our welfare. "We will be back :)"

We finally got to Lord Howe Island after Covid postponements and were met at the airport by Grace from Admiralty Apartments. She gave us a quick tour of the island before taking us to the accommodation and settling us in. I have to say this location is about the best on the island, it is a minutes walk from Neds Beach, 5 minutes into the main part of town, it is quiet and Grace, Steve and Jessie are the perfect hosts. There are only two apartments and they are superb. Plenty of room, well laid out with every thing you need to be self sufficient, the welcome basket was full of goodies from wine to snacks to breakfast materials, and there were touches that made the stay there as good as we have had. We chose to enjoy the facilities and cook for ourselves on a few nights rather than eat out, it was that nice. Each morning it was a quick walk to the beach for a swim with the turtles and fish before breakfast, then brekky with your own coffee maker and off for the days activities. Grace would check to see if you needed a lift to any of the various eating places each night and run you there around 6pm. Steve and Grace have been there for 30 odd years and you can see the love and attention they have put into their little piece of paradise. When we go back to Lord Howe Island our timing will be to make sure we can stay at Admiralty Apartments again. 5 stars.

Before COVID-19 changed travel for the immediate future, we were lucky enough to spend seven nights at this absolutely sensational accommodation. The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable, extremely well appointed and had the right mix of beach casual and luxury style that made it clear that you were staying somewhere special.
Fantastic location, just above Ned's Beach, and nestled in amongst the lush vegetation. Could easily walk to the main shops and lagoon.
Our hosts were exceptional and could not have been more helpful. They seem to have thought of everything, and helped make a great stay even better.
We are very keen to make a return visit, when the world returns to some type of normal.

Grace and Steve are most generous hosts. We spent more than a week here and we could not have been happier. These are really nicely presented and well appointed apartments with everything you could possibly need on hand. They even have well appointed kitchenettes if you fancy doing a little recreational cooking.
Located just behind Ned's beach and within an easy bicycle ride of town you could not ask for a better location. No steep hills on the way home and a private path to a great beach. What more could you ask for? But be warned it can be very dark at night.
Speaking of dark be sure not to miss out on an evening stroll on Ned's Beach..

We have just returned from a fabulous week on Lord Howe Island. Having been before, and loved it, we enticed friends to join us. Admiralty Apartments was perfect. There are only two apartments. They are within an easy stroll to Ned's beach which we had to ourselves each morning. The apartments are very well stocked and extremely comfortable. We wanted for nothing. The kitchen had every appliance we needed and the welcome hamper saw us through several days. The chairs, inside and out, were comfortable and inviting. There are books to read, games to play, DVDs to watch if you wish. The bathroom is also thoughtfully well stocked. The shower was delightful. We chose to eat in most nights which was perfect. Wine and cheese on the front apartment's deck at 6pm followed by dinner of bring your own. The local king fish, cooked on bbq was divine. Simple life. Unlike on previous visits fresh produce was easily available. The apartments are handy to the village and also provide a great starting point to all activities. We did go to the Tuesday seafood night at the golf club. The food was lovely and the sunset topped it off. Grace, Steve, Jesse and Gina could not have been more attentive but not intrusive. We know if we are ever lucky enough to return to this fabulous island, Admiralty is where we will stay.

We have just returned from 7 wonderful days reliving our honeymoon on Lord Howe Island which was 57 years ago. Of course a lot has changed in that time including the method of transport getting to and from the island. Back in 1964, we arrived by flying boat and landed in the lagoon, now we arrive on a small Dash 8 propeller driven plane and land on a tiny 1 kilometre air strip. The other big change is the accommodation which is quite luxurious compared to back in 1964. We chose Admiralty Apartments and we found it to be everything we had wished for and helped to make of staying on this lovely island so special. Our hosts, Grace, Steve and Jesse could not do enough for us. We arrived to find a wonderful basket of goodies including eggs, milk, a bottle of wine, nibbles, cheeses, fruit and in the cupboards there were sachets of vegemite, honey, peanut butter, tea coffee, etc. We had everything we needed in the apartment including DVD's, books, games as well as Foxtel and Netflx. There is a washing machine and dryer as well as a dishwasher. beach towels and chairs, a sun umbrella, a barbecue as well as big umbrellas for the odd shower that suddenly comes down. Each evening, we would be driven by one of our hosts to our restaurant of choice and on the return journey the restaurant staff would drive us back to Admiralty. The Apartments are in the best position on the island, away from the winds and not too far from the centre of town. The private track to Ned's Beach takes a couple of minutes and this beach is by far the best on the island. We really enjoyed our time on Lord Howe, which was helped so much by staying in such a beautiful apartment with lovely grounds and a great family who looked after us so well.

Admiralty Apartments are ideally located virtually on Ned's Beach. So convenient to pop down and have the beach to yourself early in the morning and in the evening. The snorkelling off Ned's is good (best off beach on LHI). We saw turtles, coral and fish. Fish feeding is fun and great for photos underwater with a go pro. There are BBQ's at the apartment so if you miss out out on one at Ned's, you can always barbie at home and walk down (There are about 5 BBQ's at Ned's so even in summer possible to get one, we always did)
The apartments are very comfortable and contain things you never realised you needed but came in super handy (picnic basket/beach chairs and backpacks for example).
It is an easy 10 min level stroll or quick bike ride over to the lagoon side, so easy to pop back and forth during the day (unlike the apartments further up the hill)
Grace also books you into the nicest restaurant in town for your first night - handy esp as places need to be booked in advance as well as organising bike and snorkel hire.

We recently spent four wonderful nights at Admiralty Apartments and would thoroughly recommend them.
Our apartment was terrific – a fabulous location (metres from Ned’s Beach and a ten-minute walk into “town”), very spacious, modern, and equipped with absolutely everything (especially the kitchen). The bathroom in particular was stunning. Our hosts Grace and Steve were wonderful – from the time they picked us up at the airport, they were always readily available to help us, but never intrusive. They gave us great advice on restaurants, places to go and things to do.
Their “welcome hamper” was outstanding – filled with wine, cheeses, crackers, chocolates, nuts, etc., and the fridge had the “basics” to get us started.
Overall it was a great place to stay, and we look forward to returning!
