Sharon and Peter have excelled with this accommodation. It is without doubt the perfect place for two people to stay on Lord Howe Island. Recently renovated, there is no detail that has been missed and the quality of the renovation shines through. Spotlessly clean, spacious and so very comfortable this accommodation cannot be faulted. Sitting on the deck sipping a drink and watching the sunset is magical and from the barbeque you can see the mountains with their many moods. The accommodation is located a 5-10 minute bike ride from most of the other accommodation and shops so it is very quiet. A week of absolute bliss, we were so lucky to have stayed here and be looked after so well by Peter and Sharon. Accommodation was new and spotlessly clean with little "Sharon" touches, and had stunning views (which when booking didn't realize). Stand up and take a bow as the applause is deafening!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in one of Sharon and Peter’s excellently furnished and well appointed apartments. From the personalised pickup on arrival to her farewell on departure Sharon ensured our stay at Waimarie was memorable and always relaxed. Sharon's orientation tour of the island immediately after landing was of great assistance as was being driven by her to a restaurant on any evening. Waimarie's position on Lord Howe Island proved an excellent choice for our holiday interests and activities and it is ideally located to enjoy the delightful vista of The Lagoon, Lidgbird and Gower Mountains as well as experience some magnificant sunsets. My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights after staying the previous 6 nights at Beachcomber Lodge. Thank goodness we did. Sharon and Peter have thought of everything. I just can’t fault it. As two ladies having a break away from our husbands, Sharon provided two single beds for us. Such attention to detail - yoga mat, delicious treats, great coffee and tea, fresh bread etc. Plus fabulous toiletries. As stated by the previous guests in these reviews, these two apartments are just lovely. I will be back with my husband as soon as I can!

Our 6 night stay at Waimarie was absolutely outstanding. Owners Sharon and Peter are incredibly hospitable and have designed and decked out the apartments with everything that you require for an epic stay. The apartments themselves are super quiet, comfortable and really tastefully appointed with the beds/linen and pillows being of 5 star standard (best sleeps I think I've ever had). Back packs are included for hiking, picnic hamper (including wine cooler) and a full entertainment system with a great selection of DVDs are available if desired. A washing machine and powder are supplied to wash your clothes for an extended stay and the balcony in the mornings and early arvos is perfect for coffee/wine/breaky!!!! We stayed at Waimarie Apartments for 6 nights and cannot speak highly enough about our experience. The location is perfect, the apartments are beautifully styled, incredibly comfortable (Best bed and pillows ever!) and filled with everything that you'll need for your stay (backpacks for hikes, daily fresh coffee/plunger, bottle of sparkling wine). Owners Sharon and Peter are just so lovely and happy to drop you off at dinner or around the island as required and have great insight into what to do around the island on different days of the week. Lord Howe is my new favourite spot and I can't wait to get back to Waimarie!!!!

Waimarie Apartments are private and boutique. They can be differentiated from others on Lord Howe Island due to: 1. Fabulous and warm hosts (Sharon and Peter) 2. Incredible ocean views 3. Well appointed and modern facilities (that enables self catering) 4. Welcome food hamper (love the champagne, chocolates and real coffee!) 5. Little extras, like the good quality bathroom products, linen sheets, condiments, yoga mat, back pack, beach chair I can't wait to return some day.

I travelled to Lord Howe Island in November - my last trip had been over 40 years previously! I was welcomed and looked after at Waimarie from my arrival at the airport to my departure. Lord Howe is unique, and Sharon took me around the island at the outset and gave me a tour. She highlighted some great spots to visit and walks. I loved he island, and loved my apartment. The bed was so comfortable and bathroom luxurious. The kitchen was well equipped, and I loved the touches of champagne, fresh bread, home-baked slice and great coffee. I hope to go back and enjoy the island and Waimarie again. I highly recommend both.

Could not have stayed at a better place. Soft Linen sheets, plush bath towels, 5 star resort toiletries just to name a few of the luxury items. At the airport, we were greeted by Sharon with a bonus tour of the island before check in. A vechile had been arranged for us as I was unable to enjoy the use of bicycles. Waiting for us on arrival to our private and super quiet (being only 2) apartment, was a bottle of bubbly, freshly baked sour dough bread, ground roasted percolated Italian coffee with a home made slice, not to mention the organic eggs waiting for us to cook in the morning and enjoying it on our own balcony looking at the ocean and Mt Gower. We have had the pleasure of staying in many apartments, both in Aus & oversees. Waimarie remains one of the most relaxing, enjoyable & best positioned due to the combination of welcoming provisions, very well appointed kitchen, the quality & cleanliness of the apartment, the gardens & the the porch on which to sit, nibble, drink & take in the view of the Lagoon waters. But mostly, it is the warmth & generosity of Peter & Sharon that made our stay such a wonderful eight days. While a portion of the runway can be seen, the infrequent planes become something of interest (bet you can't resist a photo or two of a taxiing plane with towering Mt Gower as a back-drop!) - that is if you're not on one of the island's many wonderful walks through forests of amazing Banyan & Pandanus trees…
