Agree that there are no more superlatives for this accommodation. Sharon and Peter have ensured that their apartments are absolutely top notch, right down to the Heston Blumenthal barbecue which we used one evening. Every last detail has been thought of, these 2 apartments are perfect for couples, friends and family. Absolutely delightful hosts. Highly recommended. We are so glad we chose Waimarie.

Nothing can be added that hasn't been said before. A luxury five star plus appointment with all your needs catered for. Yes, fairly close to the side of the runway but with an average of two day time flights daily (no jets!!!) presented no issues to our peace and quiet. Sharon is the best host - full of local knowledge and she ran us to our chosen eatery each night. Then the eatery runs us back home - sometimes the chef drives, sometimes a waiter !! Where else in the world would you get that sort of service!! Superb accommodation for a relaxing few days on an unspoilt island.

I would give this six stars if I could. Sharon picked us up from the airport and right from the start was very friendly and gave us a driving tour of the island to see some of the sites and get our bearings. This was a great little introduction. The accommodation was first class and had everything you could possibly need and then some. Sharon had us at the bottle of champagne in the fridge. There is plenty of room throughout the apartment. It gets this wonderful sea breeze and has a great view from the front porch. Sharon took us down to get our bikes and left us to do what we wanted after that. Sharon and Peter were lovely. Sharon popped past to say hello at some point each day and was never intrusive at all. Thanks to Sharon and Peter for creating a place that felt like home.…

My husband and I have just spent 7 amazing days at Waimarie on Lord Howe island. The one bedroom apartments, owned by Sharon and Peter are beautiful, there are so many personal touches, from local artwork, freshly baked bread on arrival, gorgeous body and hair products to every possible item you would need when exploring this wonderful island. The views from the apartments are second to none, they are private, but located close to the lagoon and Blinky beach and a short distance from the island centre. This was our second holiday to Lord Howe and the difference staying somewhere family owned and run was noticeable. For 30 years we have stayed at other places on LHI but Waimarie has by far been the best. The beautiful one bedroom apartment in a quiet haven with a view to treasure is an absolute must. We almost hesitatingly write the review as want to keep the idealic southern part of the island a secret. Sharon’s warmth, clear communication, strong organisational skills and attention to detail is inspiring. The apartment was amazingly clean and filled with treats that constantly lured our senses. All the extras at Waimarie go beyond comfort and the luxury provided by Sharon and Peter is unmatchable. We stayed in Waimarie apartment and had a wonderful and highly enjoyable holiday. Peter and Sharon are great hosts. Peter’s tour of the island on the day we arrived was excellent and Sharon’s hospitality and suggestions have been very helpful. We stayed for one week but would love to stay longer. The apartment is very well equipped, modern and very comfortable. It is in a great location with excellent views and surroundings. Highly recommended.

I can highly recommend Waimarie Apartments! We were greeted at the airport by Sharon (who is absolutely lovely and gently spoken). She took us on a little tour around the island and was even nice enough to stop at the local “supermarket” (Joy’s shop) to allow us to stock up on a few necessities. The apartment had a few sweet touches such as a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge, some homemade slice (yummy!) as well as milk, butter and eggs in the fridge along with a sprinkling of home grown flowers around the rooms. The apartment was perfect for us. Quiet, secluded, clean (very), private and a great location. We recently visited LHI and stayed six nights at Waimarie. We were welcomed at Airport by Sharon who then gave us a very detailed tour of island pointing out places of interest and giving us lots of information on the islands history. During this tour Sharon also showed us where the restaurants were and the nights open. The Apartment felt very welcoming with freshly baked bread and home made slice in kitchen on our arrival. The Apartment looked fresh and appeared to have been recently renovated/very well maintained with lots of natural light. Also immaculately clean. Everything we needed was there in this gorgeous and very comfortable Apartment. Loved the beautifully scented bath products and lavender sleep therapy too. Waimarie exceeded our expectations. Peter’s tour was a lovely welcome to Lord Howe Island. The apartment was spotless, very well equipped and very comfortable. We appreciated the lovely ‘welcome’ provisions including home-baked biscuits, coffee, fresh eggs and bread. We loved sitting in the garden, enjoying the view and watching the sun set. Sharon and Peter were very helpful with suggestions for which hikes to do when. We had a fabulous stay!
