Waimarie offers two, one bedroom apartments surrounded by lush kentia palms less than 400m from your pick of pristine beaches. Our apartments are secluded and private, the perfect place for an intimate couples escape, yet close enough to share on a week away with friends.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

It is inspiring to witness Sharon and Peter’s dedication to Waimarie. As returned guests, we immediately felt at home. Their warm, relational manner and commitment to improvement and growth is apparent. We highly appreciate the chats, laughs and generosity.

We just came back from an amazing week over at Lord Howe Island staying at Waimarie Apartments. I would 100% recommend them for your stay at LH. (1) The apartment is amazing - nicely decorated and spacious. You have your own private bbq area with views to the mountains and sunset and a separate private outdoors coffee lounge on the back which is also pretty cool. All the linen, towels and kitchen stuff is first class. (2) The area is very secluded and private - while a very short 8 minute stroll into town. You can definitely get closer to town but Waimarie gives you a huge space in front of your apartment to enjoy without feeling the claustrophobia of other resorts. The breeze is great and very silent at night. (3) The hosts are the best! Drove us into town as much as needed, gave us good recommendations on what to do, welcomed us with a bottle of bubbles and roasted coffee.
Don't think it twice. If you can find availability make sure you book it or it may be too late! :))

We made our first ever trip to Lord Howe Island in October 2023 and chose to stay at Waimarie based on all of the wonderful reviews, especially about the hosts! Sharon and Peter have created two beautiful apartments in what we would stay is the best spot on the island, and back it up with amazing hospitality.
We felt so welcome and looked after by Sharon and Peter, with lovely fresh bread and homecooked slice to welcome us, a tour of the island, and happily dropping us off at restaurants for dinner each night!
Waking up in the morning looking out at Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird from our deck made Waimarie feel like our own little slice of paradise. The location at the southern end of the island means you're away from most other visitors, but still an easy 10-15min easy flat bike ride into town.
We loved spending our mornings at nearby Blinky Beach, and an evening or two having a barbeque picnic at Cobbys Corner. Lord Howe Island is amazing, and choosing to stay at Waimarie made it a truly memorable trip!
We can't wait to get back and visit again!

We stayed at Waimarie Apartment 1 for 10 glorious days. Sharon and Peter were fabulous hosts from the moment we were picked up. The home made slice, bread and eggs in the fridge were much appreciated as was the cold bottle of bubbles! The apartment was furnished in true island style, modern and very clean with a fabulous bathroom. Lovely deck on the front was great for a good read and views and the private rear deck got lots of lovely sun. Mount Gower is a feature of Lord Howe Island and you can well and truly see it from Waimarie's gorgeous garden and bbq areas. All very private. A great ride into town on the bikes too!

Thank You Sharon & Peter for letting us share a little piece of your paradise for a week. Our apartment was so quiet and secluded, with great views of Mt Gower & Mt Lidgbird and the ocean. The sound of the waves on the reef was so calming. Our apartment was spacious, modern & exceptionally clean and had everything that you could need. We had a outdoor eating area & bbq where we celebrated the sunset & shared meals with our friends, who were in the second unit. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect & even stepped in to help when our car booking went astray. Thank you Sharon for the lovely coffee, the bubbles in the fridge on our arrival, my first lamb feeding experience & your pre-arrival advice. It all helped make our stay so wonderful. Roger & Cheryl

This place is special. We stayed a week and loved everything. The unit was superb, with little personal touches supplied by our most gracious and accommodating hosts Sharon and Peter. The view from the unit was terrific, and it was so quiet that we slept in every morning. The friendly restaurants were great and after dinner they drive you back to your accommodation. The island is a true gem with flights from Sydney, Port Macquarie and also the Gold Coast it is easier to get to. There are only 400 visitors allowed at any time so it isn’t crowded. If you want a great escape, please consider Waimarie at Lord Howe Island, you won’t regret it.

Waimarie was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, set in the most beautiful serene surroundings. The hosts were so welcoming, and always available for any questions. For those who are active, it is about a 20 minute into the township. Or you can hire a bike in town. I would highly recommend staying at Waimarie.

Waimarie Apartments are the perfect place to stay on Lord Howe Island. The accommodation at Waimarie certainly adds to the magic of the Lord Howe Island experience. There are spectacular views of nearby mountains Lidgebird and Gower, and the sun setting over the lagoon is a photographer's delight. Sharon and Peter are superb and friendly hosts. Their attention to detail and generous and thoughtful hospitality left nothing to be desired. As noted in other reviews, everything has been thought of with the luxury inclusions: the starter breakfast provisions, bottle of French bubbly, personal bbq, quality skin products (soaps, body lotions, moisturiser, shampoo), superior linens, etc. A stress free, relaxing and chilled holiday, with plenty of adventure if that's your choice! Our price in March is $450 a night.
We have no venomous spiders, but do provide surface spray, if required. March is a great time to visit Lord Howe Island.

The rate is $420 a night, but we are happy to discount to $400 a night. You can check out our website for availability if you wish.
Bike hire is easy, we will take you there. You don't need to book that. Small cars are for hire, but will need to be booked in advance, let us know if you need that. It is a flat, easy walk from our units to the beach, but most people hire bikes .
March is a great time to come.
