Lockhart is a a great small town. You drive in from Wagga across sweeping plains, and the first building you see is the motel. The day of our stay was a hot one but the new air con unit quietly kept us cool. The rooms have had a refurb and the bed was big and comfortable. The owners have gone to great lengths to update their business. Well done I say.

Lockhart Motel has 9 rooms, and is a great value for money place to rest your head.
The outlook is across countryside, and if you are an early riser you can enjoy sunrise right out front.
One of the best features in our opinion was that as well as a dated (rattlebox) aircon, there was a ceiling fan, which provided a comfortable atmosphere for a night's sleep - better than waking with an "aircon dry throat" !
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom served its purpose. A hair dryer was not provided (but I travel with one anyway....too many motel hairdryers are pretty dreadful)
There's a bar fridge and the usual tea/coffee making.
No pool, but the town pool in Lockhart is a welcoming and uncrowded place for a cool-down on a hot summer day.
Unpretentious, good value, serving its purpose in providing a comfortable night's sleep.

Quiet,clean and warm.Fresly painted,and outfitted bathroom.
Was in town less than 24 hours,businesses we visited were friendly and welcoming,apart ffrom coffee shop,latte da,less than welcoming.
We were impressed with sculpture works,particularly Alan Whiteheads work and Spraggs work.
The main street was very attractive.

Motel looked ok and clean however after about 8pm put the cooler on and small bugs a bit like silverfish but black, came out of the carpet and were everywhere including the walls, couldn't sleep. Told owner/manager (?) he wasn't interested, wouldn't even look at the room, offered no apology or compensation for a terrible room.

Good small motel. Came in late in the afternoon to a friendly reception and a clean, quiet refurbished room and bathroom. Not sure if there is another motel in Lockhart but this motel will do me if passing through again.

Found this motel to be a godsend on my bike tour. Great little motel with refurbished rooms and fantastic proprietors who assisted me with getting to Wagga.

Wonderful Motel for a family needing a nights accommodation on way through from SA to Sydney. They accommodated 2 adults and 2 children in clean, fresh, modern connecting rooms with 1 queen and 2 singles. Well worth stopping at Lockhart rather than pushing through to Wagga. Suggest the local Ex Serviceman's Club for dinner - they have a Chinese restaurant. Simple but just what is needed after a long drive with kids.

Nice clean motel room, small but ok. Hot water pressure was a bit low and the temperature was hard to control. The air con was adequate to warm the room on a very cold night. Close to the highway and traffic noise was loud until later in the night.

I stayed at this wonderful motel for three nights and enjoyed it immensely. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The home cooked meal I had on the first night was absolutely delicious and had the quality of a 5 star restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend this lovely motel in this gorgeous town. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.
