Stayed in powered site with ensuite. Close to Highway however, but didn’t find it too noisy. Extremely busy caravan park and a few minor problems with our booking/checking in experience. A small walk to the Artesian Bore for a daily soak and it has a fossicking area for kids. The reception closes at 6pm and it has great information on the area.

Checked into the park and was a bit gutted to find out that we had been put right next to the sewage treatment which is a nice smell when your cooking , eating and sleeping . Plus one of the cleaning staff was very rude when cleaning the amenities. Other then these points everything else was good .

Unfortunately only stayed for one night in a powered ensuite site. But is a great park just outside the main town area of Lightening Ridge. The ensuite was clean and fresh and site itself was tidy and large. Price was good and the free Artesian Bore bath (almost just across the road) is a good experience. Recommend going around sunrise when it is cooler. Would stay here again if visiting Lightening Ridge.

Stayed here for two nights in a very nice cabin. Parking was right next door to the cabin it had a covered veranda with chairs out front. The cabin was equipped with everything you needed. Microwave, Cook Top, Toaster, Kettle, Full size fridge,Tea/Coffee with fresh milk supplied ,dish washing liquid, tea towel, crockery and cutlery. In the room were 2 bunk beds, 1 very comfy Queen Bed with all the linen and blankets needed, 2 bedside tables with lamps along with a table and 4 chairs and plenty of drawers and cupboards. There is a curtain that can screen off the main Queen bed from the Bunks/dining area if required. The bathroom had towels and hand towel, soap but no shampoo or conditioner Great step in Shower and glass door (great no curtain). The caravan park is huge with plenty of space for caravans. It has an onsite coffee shop and solar heated pool. The reception ladies were very friendly and helpful booking tours etc. The park is secured by boom gates and passwords at night for after hours entry. There is also a free bus to the bowling club in town if required. It is also just a short walk up the road to the Artisan Hot Pools Unfortunately the Mel and Susie show was not on as the girls were not well.
