Great country style motel, quiet, huge room, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, cooked breakfast delivered to room great value. Good air con/ heating and great shower. Has kettle, microwave, small fridge, iron. Plenty of tea/coffee sachets and nice biscuits. Great spot to stay while exploring the Border Ranges National Park.

They ain't my jocks in the cupboard! Found a pair of men's undies in the bedside draw. The bathroom shower cubicle had a tide Mark of scum.... average place at best. The road crew were in residence when I was There and the smoking relegated you to inside your room.

Checked in late on an afternoon for a 3 night stay, first thing I did was kick off my boots and socks ready for a cold beer and relax after a long day. I could feel that the floor was extremely gritty, I went and asked for a broom to sweep the motel room floor and I was repulsed by what I swept up. Clearly it has been a very long time since the rooms have had a good clean, there was urine on the toilet seat, hair in the bed (not hair from someone’s head either) dust on all surfaces and a landfill site down each side of the fridge. I have stayed in many motels before, and this is by far the worst. I told the owner about the mess and that I would be leaving. His excuse was “we have been busy” I responded with “I have stayed 1 night previously and the room was in the same condition then” After telling a few locals the next day when I drove back for work, they’re response was “everyone knows not to stay there, but as there are only 2 motels owned by the same person sometimes you can’t help it, just take your own cleaning supplies”

I have just spent four nights in this motel. I have stayed in many during my lifetime and Kyogle Country Inn is up there with the best. The staff was amazing, the large room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable. Actually, every facility was first class. I could not find fault with anything. The people of Kyogle have every right to be proud of this motel.

Excellent customer service. Easy access from main road, secure with vehicles parked in front of rooms. We booked 2 x rooms with 2 x single beds in each. Mike had thoughfully booked us into adjoining rooms, very much appreciated.

Found ourselves in a not known place of Kyogle and needed an over night stay. Googled found this place, got the last room. So can be popular! Think there are 10 rooms. It is newish, clean, well appointed, just a motel with usual facilities. Big roomy carpark. Good sleep. Cows in paddock along side. Poor internet signal, no wifi offered. Room had microwave so supermarket buy heat up meals no hassle. No real complaints, did the job.

I recently sold my property and needed accommodation after my furniture had been packed and stored out of town. I called ahead to book this place for two (2) nights. The owner, Michael, took ‘a thousand years’ to answer the phone. He also made fun of my voice - TO ME! Upon arrival I was almost pounced on by a large feline that was quite at home walking and rubbing itself all over the front desk. Ewwwww. I was given a room (number 5, don’t say you weren’t warned) that was directly connected to the suns afternoon rays. (I did ask for a room that wasn’t facing the afternoon sun - too bad, they ALL face the westerly sun). Couple that with the upturned cockroach on the bench near the kettle, the half dead wasp on the floor near the fridge, the fact that you cannot access SBS on the TV and the SOS ONLY showing on both of my devices inside the room, Exhausted and hungry, I entered the room, looked at the dinner menu then called reception to place my order. ‘No can do, it’s 6:34pm.All orders must be in by 6:30pm.” I, for one, do NOT believe the recent reviews, on trip advisor, for this establishment. The sliding aluminium window does not shut all the way. When I informed reception of this, Michael, the owner, shuffled down to the room (I knew this because I could hear him. NOT lifting his feet to walk), to inform me that ‘Yeh, there’s nothing I can do. The pelmet of the (Spotlight Timber Venetian) blind was in the way and if I went near it, the whole thing would collapse.’ When I checked out, he was just as rude as he had been at each of our previous encounters. He also owns the motel across the road from this one, only it’s “not as flash as this one” he was quick to inform me of. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe what I thought about the shower mat.....it was clear when it was purchased, however it is now a lovely shade of nicotine stain yellow. It stayed on the ‘rack’ above the toilet cistern during my stay. PS. Anyone who’s still game enough to stay here, please let trip advisor know if the blue plastic bag of rubbish is still sitting on the pavement, out the front of the reception office AFTER the 29th of January, 2021. 😳😳😳

turned up to motel having boked 3 weeks ago to find that they had lost our booking (after having taken credit card etails over phone when booking) to be told fully booked and no rooms. Vey poor attitude and simply said "nothin i can do about it."

Who says they had the booking? We have a three-stage booking system and only four of us to take bookings, a system that has worked well for thousands of bookings for more than 17 years. The only similar problem we have had at the Country Inn under our management has been when the purported guest had actually booked at a different property - the hotel. My indifference may have been due to hostile reaction to a situation we really couldn't solve. We are always helpful to people who are pleasant and first to admit a mistake if we find we're at fault.

We 've stayed here a few times before and always found it very good. This time we booked a room with a spa bath. The room obviously hadn't been used for some time as there was lots of dust both in the spa and surrounding it. There were also lots of dead insects in the bath surrounds, as well as hair lying on the bathroom floor and in the shower. But after I gave it a bit of a clean we did have a very relaxing hot bath. The bed provided a comfortable night's sleep and biscuits and plenty of milk were provided for a cup of tea. Breakfasts were good but two slices of toast with a bacon and eggs would've been nicer than just one. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They just need to keep an eye on the cleaning!

I forgot to say in my review that there wasn't mobile reception at the motel, but the owner gave me a password for wifi (no charge) and I used wifi. If you wanted to make a phone call on your mobile you'd have to hop in your car.
There are more places to choose from in the Kyogle area.
