The valley itself is beautiful, however accommodation would be cheaper and a better selection available in one of the bigger towns like Moss Vale/Bowral/Nowra. You are paying for being in the valley - all accommodation was expensive. Cloudsong is well overpriced although it looks like the chalets have been painted and refurnished they don't warrant the price tag of $290 per night. The deck which from the website is a great selling point is unusable with the furniture provided. Chairs and table - we wouldn't use them - old, rickety and dirty. The deck itself is covered with debris from the trees that looks like it has been sitting there for a few growing seasons. The chalet is comfortable enough and equipped with enough to be self-sufficient. Be warned get some milk before you arrive if you want a coffee - non is provided. This is the first place we've come across in all our travels, both here and overseas where not even UHT is provided. Bathroom is very strange with the shower in a window with a curtain to cover it - open on the other side to the bathroom, so water goes everywhere. Be warned the stairs are quite steep.

Vastly overpriced. Mosquito infested and downright shabby. Contact number disconnected first clue that all was not right. Could not wait to get out of there. Best part enjoying the ambience of the friendly inn hotel and dinner at bistro 46.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! So relaxing, and the chalet, the location so close to everything, the view, the gardens, the fireplace (especially in the winter), and the country style breakfast, were all wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit!

Our apartment (no.1) was the closest one to the parking area so it wasn't quite as private but the decking out front was still a lovely place to chill out in the sunshine. The apartment had a lovely open plan, spacious lounge and kitchen area downstairs and an extremely spacious and cool bedroom upstairs. We slept with the French windows and curtains open to get the cooling breeze and a romantic view of the full moon. Lovely waking up to the sun and the sounds of the birds in the nearby trees. Eleanor was incredibly helpful in advance – I had been struggling to find accommodation for just one night in Kangaroo Valley as most B&Bs and apartments want a minimum two-night stay, especially on a weekend. Eleanor very kindly bent her normal policy and allowed us to book for one night. Because we were only there for one night we weren’t eligible for the breakfast basket but my only bit on constructive feedback would be that Eleanor did not tell me that whilst I was booking or on arrival so we ended up having to give her a quick call in the morning to double-check.

Chalets are in a great location walking distance to everything in kangaroo valley. Chalet was ok but a little disappointing the pictures on the website are probably from a few years back. Place was a little dusty. Bathroom was a little run down and the shower was not great. The curtain around it made the shower feel very small. Breakfast provided was generous. We were disappointed when we asked if we could use the fireplace we were told ‘I don’t think so’ bit disappointing as that was the reason we booked the place so we could enjoy a glass of red by the fireplace.
