On arrival the owners were very welcoming. They gave us suggestions for places for lunch and dinner. I loved sitting out on the balcony enjoying my morning coffee overlooking the paddocks listening to the chirping birds. I would definitely recommend this accommodation :)

Ten of us stayed at this beautiful property. We had two singles and everyone had their own bathrooms. Ours had a bath but not for ability challenged as it was in the shower and you stepped through the screen. Couldn't get any closer to shops, cafes and pub. Just walk up the driveway. However, there was no noise from them to disturb us. Never have we had such a well equipped kitchen. Everything you need was there. They also provided a few games including quoits which I love. Alpacas in the yard added a nice outlook. Huge verandah with mountains and aussie bush to enjoy, Fires have hit the area with a few houses that we know of taken in nearby Beendala which was sad to see. Locals very happy to see us as others apparently cancelled their trips. TV in all rooms. Did not use internet so not sure about that. Beautiful Decor, even has an old piano to play. Two kitchens with full fridge. We used one for the alcohol and the other for food :-)

What a great find for 6 ladies celebrating a friend's 60th, each of us had our own room, & More importantly we all had our own bathroom, this is so hard to find. The house was recently painted, very clean & a beautiful large verandah with such a Lovely & peaceful outlook. The house itself is set back from the street, but a short walk & there are shops & restaurants. Highly recommended!! Very relaxing.

My partner and I stayed at Rivermist for 1 night. We found a most beautiful guest-home with as much peace and tranquility as we were hoping for. The house with its huge veranda and out-door furniture is facing down to the Kangaroo River and with Alpacas grazing close to the house it looks just gorgeous. The house is away from the street, but only meters to the shops and restaurants of Kangaroo Valley city. We had a private room and private bathroom which were very stylish and exceptional clean. The shared kitchen and living area are well equipped and tidy. Madeleine gave us a warm welcome on our arrival, same did her cute tiny dog Jules. We highly recommend to stay at Rivermist, it's a place of tranquility, cleanliness, style and warm welcoming hosts.

What a pleasant surprise to have found such an incredible property right in the heart of the quaint little Kangaroo Valley town. Rivermist is an absolute must to visit! The owners make you feel so very welcome that you instantly feel at home at their private country oasis. We couldn't rave about this b&b anymore that we have, the cleanliness and style was top of the top. Immaculately presented. Incredible serenity and view. Enjoy a stroll down to the river and up to the small town. Relax on the sofa while reading a book and taking in the view of the property. Highly recommended!

Rivermist is so relaxing and in an idelic location. We rented one room and had the house to ourselves. The front verandah is great to sit out on for breakkie and an afternoon rest after all the shopping is done. Madeline and Tim are great hosts.

We are a party of 4 couples (mid-late 60s) who thoroughly enjoyed the space, the amenities and the ambience of this beautiful house. We dubbed it "The Manor House." We enjoyed the huge, open space living area, which is made up of kitchen, huge dining table and TV and lounge area. This opened up onto the huge veranda (with BBQ & outdoor table) which went the whole length of the house. The 6 double bedrooms with ensuites were a huge PLUS! There are 2 other sitting/TV Lounge areas (also big). The property boasts a creek and a small dam. Families would have to keep a keen eye on young children. The house has central heating and an open fire place. Unfortunately some of the beds are quite uncomfortable. It is in a street which has a quaint pub (The Friendly Inn), a top-notch restaurant (Bistro146), a couple of bakeries (great homemade pies) and a few other interesting little shops. Rivermist Glen is close to Fitzroy Falls(stunning), and wineries (heading towards Shoal bay). We will go back again. A fabulous PLUS was the SPECIAL price quoted for this time of the year (midweek - July 21); we paid for 2 nights with the third night FREE.

What can we say, it was fantastic. The house was more than we expected, roomy, clean and very cosy. 6 double bedrooms all with en suites, heaters and tv. 2 large kitchens also 2 lounge rooms with big screen TV. Surrounds outside were great with views of the mountains and river at end of property. We had six older couples who cant stop talking about our great stay.

Our party of eleven stayed here and we were very pleased with the property. The location is excellent, being right in the middle of Kangaroo Valley township, yet facing north away from the main street and towards the escarpment. In this manner the property embraces both the bustling village and the quiet ambience of Kangaroo Valley at the same time. There are six good rooms, each with an ensuite and a couple of these have baths as well. There is a spacious, well appointed kitchen, with a secondary kitchenette (fridge, kettle, sink and toaster) with its own lounge down the hall. The grounds are spacious and well kept, though a small track down to the river would have been good. The property fronts the Kangaroo River, but the last 10m to the river is overgrown with weeds including nettles. There is an old (but clean) BBQ on the spacious deck. We took some spare deck chairs and these were very handy for relaxing on the deck. Free wifi is provided, but there is no sound system. We took an iPad and ran Pandora, which worked for us. The house is comfortably furnished, with some lovely antique pieces.
