Detailed Reviews
Beautifully refurbished property right in the middle of Kangaroo Valley. The Fitzroy rooms allow pets. They are spacious, very well designed, air conditioned and extremely comfortable. The private patio is a nice touch too. From the warm welcome on checkin by Evelyn to the daily fantastic service from manager Mark, our four night stay was simply perfect. The room decor is very tasteful and a fabulous Italian style courtyard ensures there’s plenty of space to chill out in the afternoons or evening cocktails. The outside dining area is lovely and the breakfasts are excellent value offering both variety and interesting offerings to suit all tastes. All the staff members are friendly, helpful and attentive. The location and quality of this property make it a “must revisit” property. Our golden retriever loved it too!

The Kangaroo Valley is not the easiest place to access , particularly in wet driving weather. The township has a pub , a few small restaurants and Wildes Hotel as the newest addition The surrounding countryside is well … rugged and wild If you want a relaxing stay in neat comfortable rooms with a warm stone restaurant at the street front then Wilde is the best choice in town.
The menu was tapas which doesn’t please all , yet the food standard was high and the service always pleasant Particular thanks to Lucas the Manager and the charming young Charlotte who served dinner and breakfast with style and a smile

We have stayed over in the family suite for two nights in Wildes. Everything about the accomodation is perfect. Nice big room, quiet and peaceful, beautiful decorations. The shower design was fantastic , it is adjustable to the height , and makes so easy for younger kids. Wildes is located directly opposite to the friendly inn, a very nice and classic sandstones front look, only a 30 mins beautiful scenic and hilly drive to town Berry where you could find plenty restaurants cafe and shops… I would love to come back in summer next time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wildes. After the picturesque drive there, we were delighted that the hotel was as visually stunning on the outside as it is inside. The rooms are incredibly spacious and beautifully designed with a lot of thought put into practicality. Once we figured out how to open the window in the bathroom so we could let air in at the top but maintain privacy, we were winning.
Their restaurant downstairs is incredible, we went for breakfast each day as well as one dinner and cocktails. We could not fault anything, the menu offered a wonderful selection and the presentation looked so perfect you didn't want to ruin it by eating it, but the taste, the taste was divine and the portions were generous.
Their customer service was equally as impressive and the male who does the bar and coffee machine is a master. I do however suggest you book ahead if going on a Friday or Saturday night. Even though they were fully booked, they made sure we still got a table. You can choose to eat inside, out the front or in the Wildes massive courtyard which offered plenty of seating, amongst endless festoon lighting and listening to the trickle of the water fountain. It truely felt like the perfect dream space.
It was too cold to use the pool but it looked lovely and we were pleased to see they provide plenty of sun lounges, shade umbrellas and suncream for guest use. They also have cute vintage bikes with front baskets to hire for a ride around the little town.
I'd absolutely suggest staying here if you are staying in Kangaroo Valley. You literally have one street with all the gorgeous and quirky shops and Wildes is right in the middle of it. Their location couldn't possibly be better for looking about town or driving to all the lookouts, hiking locations and other tourist points.

Comfortable room but disappointing food that made my wife unwell. $450 for one night including breakfast plus an extra charge for coffee despite the fact that my wife did not have breakfast due to feeling unwell. Over priced and not recommended.

I booked Lorikeet room for 3 nights. It was a solo trip to KV. Enjoyed every moment. Glad I booked with Wildes. From the moment you step in the hotel, you can feel the calm ambient. Was greeted with a charming smile by a male staff (Lucca) upon check in ( he happened to be walking past the reception area). Not only he has a charming nature, he also makes elegant cocktails. Mitch and Lucca made my trip very memorable. Both gentlemen were extremely friendly and caring.
My room was very spacious. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. It was so nice and quiet and no noise from neighbours or from the street. Bathroom was spacious too with a nice big bath and stocked with Appells luxurious products. Loved the Himalayan salt bath which was supplied. There was a free bottle of champagne and delicious cookies waiting on the table for me.
The courtyard was one of my favourite area. Love the way it’s set up with a water fountain. Nice just to sit there and relax with coffee, tea, wine, book or nothing. Very nice pool area also.
The highlight of my stay was the Wildes dining room. Breakfast was beautiful especially the coffee and the banana bread.
A very big thank you to Lucca and Mitch again for making my stay so pleasant and unforgettable.
Highly recommend this hotel in a cosy Kangaroo Valley.
Can’t wait to be back!

A perfect stay, all we wanted and more. We were in a two bedroom suite which was decorated beautifully and kitted out with all we needed including good quality glassware and crockery. We hired bikes for free and enjoyed the freedom that gave to explore the local area, take our togs and have a dip in the river. We hung by the pool sipping cocktails in the afternoon sun and enjoyed local Thai takeout that evening on the balcony (they were fully booked to eat in). The food at Wildes is epic, we ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and all dishes and the cocktails exceed our expectations. Breakfast equally delicious. Mitch looked after us all weekend and was an incredible host. Thanks guys for a great weekend, we will be back and have already recommended to friends.

Can’t recommend the full dinner bed and breakfast offering highly enough.
The menu is well curated and beautifully executed.
Front of house staff very attentive and show a real passion for food, which Chef backs up delivering a great degustation experience.
Serving breakfast till 11 a.m. is very much appreciated as it gives you time for a sleep in in the comfortable king bed
Pool is very nice and the SoCal ambiance of the Courtyard is a very unexpected touch of luxury.
Secure undercover parking another bonus in this very busy and popular village where on street parking is nearly nonexistent on the weekends.
Highly recommended and we will be back !

We stayed at Wildes Boutique for 2 nights, we stayed in the Highland Studio room, the room was large and very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. We received a text a couple of days earlier which was very helpful as due to the heavy rain they had some roads were closed so we were given great directions of what was the best and safest way to get to the hotel. We had breakfast one of the mornings, and the food was great. The only downside we had is Wildes Boutique restaurant was not open for dinner, which we feel should have been mentioned when booking our accommodation, and then that left you with very limited dining options at Kangaroo Valley with most of the cafes closing by 3pm or 4pm. Other than the dinning issues, we would highly recommend Wildes Boutique Hotel

Had a lovely weekend at this hotel. Nice to escape the city and come to a town that is laid back. Recommended getting breakfast included in particular enjoyed the pancakes, avo on toast and eggs benny! Pet friendly accommodation so can bring your pooch along.
During our stay we had dinner at the pub (bit average) and then a amazing second night at the local golf club which the food was AMAZING! Take a drive to robertson or berry to explore. reccomend arriving early as there are many pot hots and sharp turns although late checkin is allowed. All in all a lovely weekend get away!
