What a gem this two bedroom wheelchair accessible apartment was! It was a pleasure to stay in. This apartment has been thoughtfully designed with the wheelchair user in mind. There are large, lowered light switches throughout, the kitchen has large pullout drawers at wheelchair height so that all crockery and pots and pans can be accessed independently, and there is ample space to allow for wheelchair turning circles. It has a queen bed and two singles. very spacious living area, and spacious kitchen. The well equipped kitchen is average height and accessible by parking a wheelchair side facing the cupboards. There was ample room next to either side of the queen bed to park a wheelchair, with power points on both sides for charging equipment. The large bathroom is fully wheelchair accessible with a right hand transfer toilet. The unit was very clean, modern, and tastefully decorated, and in a great location. The Managers were very helpful and hospitable. There was an undercover carpark at the front of the apartment, and a shared laundry at the motel. Just a couple of suggestions - The mirror and power point over the bathroom sink are too high to utilise but could potentially be lowered to be more accessible, and the microwave could be lowered onto a bench for better access.

Nice motel, very friendly helpful staff & owners. Beds are comfy, shower is great lots of hot water, with soap, satchels of shampoo & conditioner, fabulous air conditioning works very well. Good size TV with Foxtel & normal TV channels to choose from. Close to IGA & a short walk to the bowls club. The room had everything we needed, toaster, electric frypan, microwave, kettle & tea, coffee, sugar & biscuits. Also a separate element for cooking if needed. Although atm some construction is going on it isn't a big problem, as loads of parking in the street which is very wide & safe. Great spot also with a nice balcony for afternoon drinks while watching the sunset.

Iluka motel was everything we needed. A generous sized room which included full cooking facilities - sink, burner, microwave, pots and pans etc. Clean too. The BBQ area and garden were nice and the motel right next to the river and the Main Street. It felt like old fashioned hospitality, not flash just generous, clean and well appointed.

Very comfortable beds Cupboards under the sink smelt very musty. Only spoke to proprietor once that was when we were leaving, very approachable. New building being built on premises, one morning someone was there at 6.30am made a little bit of noise, but it didn’t worry us.

Thanks Nathan your welcome and Iluka information was great for first timers to your lovely town. Motel amazingly equipped and room perfect. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the wildlife and the comings and goings from the back lane of the Main Street. The locals incredibly friendly. We are pleased we stayed here instead of the planned Yamba visit once again. Will be back!

Been here twice now and they have shown how motels should be run. Motel rooms beautiful and spacious, clean, and most of all smelt clean, credit to house keeping. Manager went out of his way to assit, very friendly and willing to stop for yarn, made us feel most welcome. Thank you for a great two nights.

Very good motel, situated in a great area with shops just around the corner and a petrol garage not far away with an IGA shop next door. Everything is very close to this motel. New owners have got this motel running very good. We had room 2 that was all self contained with a queen sized bed and two very good single beds. Breakfast is available if needed. Very good price.

Great value accommodation in a central location. The room was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. The small private patio was a bonus. Management are very helpful and staff are great. I was able to check into my room a few hours early for no charge. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely spotless. Very well equipped kitchen.... lots of supplies to cook for a family if required. Fresh and updated. A great place to stay. Lots of extra touches such as Ai freshner in the bathroom and cookies. We slept so well in the comfy beds. Lots of love has been put into this little motel.

I've stayed here before and could see how much effort has gone into refurbishment. Everything you could possibly want is available and management is so friendly. Nice big rooms too. It's lovely experiencing friendly country hospitality!
