As others have mentioned, the location is brilliant - we are literally right across the road from the beach, and a very short walk into town, so we hardly needed to use the car at all.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
Be warned caravan sites are tinny.
Don’t even think of taking a boat as there isn’t any where to park it. Management will charge you full rates to park it within the park. Or you can leave it on the street and risk it getting raided overnight.
Our four grandchildren had a whale of a time together enjoying many of the child friendly facilities and they also made the most of the beach, despite it being mid winter.
Jervis Bay is one of the most beautiful spots we know, and this park is perfectly located to make the most of it. It was a great two-night stay.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of road noise near these sites but overall it was a great long weekend.
I will not be recommending any friends or family to stay at the park though as the management 'Wayland' in particular is extremely rude and inappropriate. Friday night at approx 9:15pm Wayland stumbled into our camp site in his socks and his sunnies hanging from his shirt intoxicated. He proceeded to stare and then state that he was f#!ing pissed off with us and we needed to stop making so much noise. We were sitting in a circle talking and listening to music at a low volume. We asked him who he was and why is he stumbling into our camp site and he said i'm management and I don't need to tell you my name. He was then asked to leave as this was very inappropriate and we did not know whether he was management or not and couldn't understand why management would stumble into a campsite intoxicated.
He persisted to stay there leaning on my husbands shoulder with his palm asking if we read the rules.
We explained that we didn't know we had to be silent so early and were under the impression we needed to stop noise from 10pm. He then started rambling about the rules going on and on not allowing us to speak or continue our night. We asked him again to leave and as you can imagine we started to get annoyed that he was not leaving. He then stated if we are not happy we can leave before 9am tomorrow and get a full refund. By this stage we were all feeling so uncomfortable he then stood there and watched as we began to pack up our camp chairs as he stated he was waiting until we were in bed before he would leave.
This is disgusting behavior and far from the professional service you'd expect from a park manager. We understand the need to keep everyone accommodated as such rules need to be in place. But there should also be a standard that noise complaints will not be accepted until after a certain time to accommodate for those who are on holidays and want to have a bloody conversation past 8:30pm. We all pay the same amount of money to stay in the park and deserve to have equal opportunity to enjoy our holiday.
