Detailed Reviews
Room was not cleaned well at all. There was dirt in our bed before we had even slept in it. The floor was dirty - we had showers then once we had walked on the floor, our feet were black. The taps in the bathroom were horribly loud every time we used them. If someone else was using a shower next door, our shower ran cold.
We were there for Christmas which was an experience in itself and with a young child so we were expecting somehting a little more for the price.

My first impression was, oh its OK
It's well placed as it's only a short walk to the centre of town.
It's a 2 storey motel that was probably built in the 1960s and has a fresh slap of paint to make it look new.
There's a Malaysian restaurant on the ground floor.
There was meant to be off street parking, nope, every spot possible taken on Saturday night, had to park on the street.
It actually has a very large, nice and deep pool.
The BBQ looked filthy but could not tell as the lid was jammed on (there's clean free bbqs about 2 minutes walk towards sharknet Beach).
The air conditioner in our room made a terrible noise, when visiting on hot nights it was a choice between staying awake listening to the air conditioner or staying awake due to the heat (they said they'd fix it when we reported it when checking out).
The in-room TV pivots nicely so you can watch the blue screen as it's not a HD TV and nearly all channel's they can receive are HD.
The rooms are large and clean.
The bed was very comfortable.
It's about a 3 minute walk to Sharknet beach which is a great little beach.
I would stay again.

I stayed 2 nights here in between Xmas and new year with my 4 and 6 year old. The main reason I chose this place was it had a pool - my kids prefer swimming in a pool instead of the beach. We arrived on Wednesday, and the weather was perfect, 29 degrees and sunny. We headed to the pool almost straight away, though found that the pool had been taken over by 2 scuba diving lessons. There was very little room for us to swim, and my son was too scared to get in due to all the people in black with masks and big tanks - so he sat in the sun and heat by himself. I took my 6 year old daughter for a swim, but within 10 mins we had been run into by two separate divers, who clearly thought they had right of way in the pool. I had no choice but to leave. The next day was overcast and raining, so our only time to enjoy the pool, it was not possible. I did speak to another guest who frequents this place, and told me it’s known that this pool is used by the scuba diving training groups - so was disappointed that there is not some sort of disclaimer about this on the hotel website. I may not have chosen to book here, having known this.
Other than that, which was hugely disappointing; I was happy with the accom. It’s close enough to town to walk in, and also even easier to walk to the kids playground and beach. The parking onsite is a bonus, though the fact it’s unallocated and unmanned, made it hard to leave and find a park again in the busy holiday season. I am pretty sure that some people parking there may not have been hotel guests.
The room itself is basic, but comfortable.

Very old and dated rooms no care put into maintenance. One rude staff member who insisted she communicated check in process with us but hadn’t. First room we had was disgusting with mould and very smelly tht it affected our breathing and sleep. Luckily moved room the next day. The smell wasn’t there but still old and very dated with cracked tiles. Very basic for a so called resort. Location ok but other nicer places around. Wish I had known. And they have the hide to charge you $75 for not cleaning dishes etc.... so we didn’t use any. Lots of other nicer accommodation options around.

Good morning Fay and thank you for your feedback. The manager sent you another sms on your check out which you received and at that time you acknowledged that you had also received the one that was sent to you on 9.10.20 by, as you state "one rude staff member", who was leaving for the day but stayed to help you check in. The fact that on check out you acknowledged that you had received this text message to the manager the question needs to be asked is why are you now lying that you didn't receive this text. The room in question was found to need the shower recess resealed (which we have now done). We upgraded you to a balcony room, at no extra cost, as you complained about the initial standard room you had booked and paid for. In future please check the star rating of the accommodation booked. We are a 3 star accommodation provider and as such are the cheapest in the area. Thank you for bringing your issues to our attention and we look forward to you staying elsewhere on your next visit. Kind regards

We will definitely not be staying here again as the bed sheets were covered in stains. I really only want to be complimentary on here but feel I need to warn people that if bring children that they feel they need a good scrub after staying at this place. We will never use this place again.

Tired old dilapidated motel from the 90’s everything was either old, rusted, bathroom tiles cracked, carpet frayed and torn or falling down, sorry but we booked on their website for the best price and paid $200 for what I can only describe as the worst motel room I have ever stayed in. There was clean white towels and bedsheets. Terrible sewerage smell emanating from the bathroom was all but unbearable. Noisy main road so bring earplugs if you ate a light sleeper. Most of the rooms looked deserted however website said we got the last room! A nepresso coffee machine and a Modern TV the 2 best things about this stay here.

HI QueenslandHennypenny and thank you for your feedback. We are one of the only original buildings in Huskisson so you should appreciate that and we do advertise as "vintage". You stayed on a Sunday night, there is next to no traffic nor people around on Sunday evenings and we are a country town so the traffic diminishes after 6.00pm. Regards

After a long drive, we pulled up and we nearly drove off straight away. Resort? What resort. This place was so run down it needs to be pulled down, doesn't deserve "resort" name. First of all the rooms are "ok". But it's what goes on outside your room that leaves much to be desired. It seems that this resort now accommodates homeless people. People are leaving they're doors open and you can see into rooms which have all of they're possessions.
Ok about the room. One side of us we're using air-conditioning but it rattled and shook the wall and ceiling in our room all. Night. Finally when it stopped Peace at last. But nooooo now the other occupants of the "Resort" came out to play. Banging yelling screaming swearing for the next 4.25 hours.
This is one night I'll never get back. My advice is drive up, put in reverse and drive away, never to return

Hi Kezza and thank you for your feedback. We do not accommodate homeless. If guests are comfortable leaving their doors open that is up to them. You must be confusing our area with where you come from. Yes please drive away, never to return. Regards

A comfortable stay in a clean room. The Resort is a little tired but I can cope with that if everything is clean and all requirements are supplied which was the case with Bayside. We had a large room with queen bed and a separate single bed. Kitchenette facilities are supplied including a microwave.

Check in was easy but weird because it was a machine. Placed keys in box on check out which was convenient. Had no contact with staff at all.
No linen for the sofa bed so my friend and I shared the double bed. Two aircon units in the room but neither of them actually worked to cool the room down which was not great since the room was hot from the afternoon Summer sun. Room is old and tired. Bathroom basic but clean. View to road was across an unkempt grassed area which was very unappealing and that was through windows with loads of spider webs.
Plenty of off street parking.
Certainly not what I would imagine constitutes a resort but the location was great.
