Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mal the manager made everything from check in to departure an absolute pleasure for us. He was friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough.

We had a major issue with our annex and he helped get it sorted so we could put it away until we could get it fixed later.

This was a great park, clean and tidy and Mal spent most of the day cleaning up the trees and worked from early in the day until late at night checking people in even at 9:30pm

After over 400 kms we wanted a caravan site with an ensuite facility. This was to be it.
Exactly what we wanted for an early exit . We have to learn you can’t have everything. The transport noise at night h counteracted the early exit. There will be sacrifices to be made in this road trip. There were very obliging staff to take queries.

With lots of rain forecast we booked an undercover powered site that came with an en-suite. It was fantastic with a huge metal awning covering our pop up van and access to the bathroom. Lots of nice trees to look out to. We were completely dry when morning rain came and we needed to pack up . Just stayed one night so could remain all hitched up which was a bonus. Didn’t hear much highway noise. Hay looks an interesting town and we would like to return some day. Friendly reception.

The absolute worst Big4 I have visited. Luckily it was only overnight. Here goes. 1. 39c outside when we arrived. Window was wide open, so even the furniture was hot. 2. Toilet seat loose.3 Not really that clean. 4. Decking worn an spongy. Here is a tip. Do what I did. I had to get booking.com to give me the extra $20 this bloke charged me for allowing my pet dog to stay overnight. I had written via bookin.com first and he had advised that thare would be no additional charge. That all changed when we arrived and he slugged us the extra money. He was gouging and simply did not bank on me complaining to booking.com. He might have even gottten away with it, had I not had that written assurance. For a town that is struggling, they really have no idea how to treat people to get repeat business. This is not how you do it. It is well located though and at leat the air conditioner worked. Will never go back and will tell everyone about the dodgy approach they take.

Very basic cabin accommodation which is usual for the price.
However I’m over places advertising free wifi when it is actually non existent.
I possibly would have given a slightly higher score because of the friendly proprietors except that when we stayed there again a week later on the way home we were in a different cabin and it was not very good at all.
There were four fag ends in the butt-out bin right outside the door; the handle of the kettle was actually dirty, as were the cupboard handles, and the cabin overall had a distinct “doggie” smell.
As I said above, the owners were very friendly but the actual accommodation is lacking.

The welcome was friendly and efficient. The cabin was very pleasant clean and comfortable. Air Conditioner was on so cabin was cool. There was sufficient plates knives forks etc and cooking facilities for our needs. We were offered the menu for the pub just a short walk away. The information book was informative. Wifi was offered but I couldn't tune in by following the directions. The pool was refreshing after a day of travel and there was a pool towel available so I didn't need to use mine. Always difficult to get a towel dry before traveling the next day so this was a pleasant surprise. Bed was firm but comfortable. Recommend.

I really like this caravan park. My drive through site was easy to drive into with the usual access to power, water etc. Free wifi was excellent with a good strong signal. I only visited the amenities once, but they seemed fine. It's a fairly small park, so everything is close. The town is just back across the river, an easy walk for those who aren't as lazy as I am. The pub out the front is an added bonus with nice meals and friendly staff.

Room Tip: It’s probably best to call ahead and book a site. It seems to get quite busy even off peak.

The caravan park was located across the bridge from the town, but everything is very close by. We left our van there and walked to all the tourist sites we wished to visit, as well as doing our shopping and eating out. Sarah and Chris were very friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure to chat with them. They were very helpful. The caravan park was very tidy and well maintained. The toilets and showers were very clean and, although older buildings, they had been upgraded which made them more pleasant to use. It was a very quiet park and we felt safe. I’m happy to say that pets are welcome. It was great to see many well behaved dogs staying there with their families. They were all very well behaved and caused no problems at all. There is a park virtually next door with a wonderful playground, toilets and an off-lead dog area, including some dog-agility equipment for dogs who love practicing their agility training.

Our cabin at Hay Holiday park had very obviously not been cleaned for a very long time
The building ( cabin 3 ) is in urgent need of renovation, however old should & does not represent unclean ,
Toilet seat not attached , a fall by an elderly person would have been devastating.
Toilet brush holder was filthy & held dirty rancid water , doors had built up grime .
Signs of dried food in saucepan . Dead blowfly's
Wooden floor trim in shower area falling off , all the above we cleaned before use
This accommodation was in stark contrast to our previous stay in The “Boulevard ‘ Wagga for a similar cost O & M Bruce

I stayed in a deluxe cabin. Very clean, neat, roomy, quiet and a decent price. The park has brilliant facilities for campers and a variety of accommodation options to suit everyone. The staff were helpful and friendly.
