Love this spot go regularly in our van. Sites are larger than caravan parks. Off grid camping, composting toilets. Main camp ground are designated sites when you book, river front and non river front. Close to beaches, saltwater tidal river great for SUP, Kayak, swimming, fishing, boating etc. Managers Maree and Mac are lovely. Toilets always have paper are cleaned daily, there is a dump point and tank water to fill your 20 litre jerry can when you need. If you don't have your own camp set up options such as tent, caravan, camper trailer, motor home, etc.. there are Tiny Houses and Glamping Tents. Located close to beaches, beach driving options, shops, golf course and club and much more sleepy little town and camp ground outside of peak periods. Family friendly relaxed atmosphere even in peak within the camp ground.

My family 2A + 2C recently stayed in the Koala Tent whilst my parents stayed in the Cockatoo Tiny House.
What an amazing few nights away from the rush of life... just to sit on the deck and watch the generations of my family interact over food, wine and conversation - bliss!
A tranquil place where you can be as quiet as you want, or as active as you want. Both styles of accommodation are very well appointed in a luxurious "glamping" style. The indoor or outdoor cooking facilities, hot showers, warm beds and the composting toilet was very easy to use.

We took fishing rods, crab traps & a paddle board for the outdoor entertainment. We also took mindful colouring in & cards for quieter activities. But to sit and watch the river change during the day and by fire side at night was so spectacular.

We also took our own food, drink & provisions for our stay, everything from camp oven baked dinners to cheese platter essentials. The best meal we had during our stay was the fresh flathead and bream caught straight from the river onto the bbq.
The coffee van arrived each morning for our daily hit and the local IGA just a few minutes drive away is very well stocked.

Our host Maree was fabulous and went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic stay - thank you!

just returned from another trip to our favourite place to get away. The managers are so friendly and accommodating for the people from all walks of life that the River camp attracts ! Love that we can still find a campground that is fairly primitive / basic without the over development like most places these days . We have a caravan with our own shower and toilet so having water tanks on-site to be able to refill van is great ! There are clean put toilets if you are in a tent . Nice Sandy beach to swim in riverbank at one end and nice fishing spots with a rocky bank down the other . We are going to try booking into the other part of this property where they have luxury glamming tents and tiny houses with their own showers and toilets ! Close to 4x4 beach, a patrolled swim beach , lakes and river leads into the beautiful PORT STEPHENS .

For the camping fees charged this camp ground provides extremely limited facilities - four composting toilets for 99 sites is hardly adequate especially given they were located at the very far end of the park. Most people either had to drive or cycle to get there!
All sites are unpowered, there are no taps or sullage facilities and whilst river front sites are more expensive due to the rocky retaining wall access to the river is generally limited. Wouldn’t recommend.

Thank you for your feedback on our back-to-nature Camp. This green haven is all about the natural environment and we strive to make it a sustainable place to holiday. We believe its off-grid nature is part of what makes it special! It is aimed to provide a different experience to staying in a holiday park. Please know we do have a dump point/sullage facility at the toilet block and plenty of drinking water available for our campers. We’re sorry you missed them. Many of our guests are self-contained. In peak times we place extra toilets around the Camp. We have a long sandy beach with a boat exclusion swimming area as well as a boat ramp with loads of spots to access the river. The retaining wall along parts of the riverfront is designed to stop the erosion of our river bank from boat wash - an issue we are working hard to manage. Thanks once again, for your feedback Maree & Mac

We were looking for a getaway close to Sydney with friends where we could go for the long weekend. We have stayed at the Myall River campground several years ago and although we loved the location it was quite busy with lots of vans and kids. But the new owners have transformed the place into this quite little eco heaven, and the new glamping tents that have just opened are simply stunning.

Situated right on Myall River away from the main campground in a private area amidst the gumtrees and palms, the three tents are beautifully styled with everything you could need. The tent we stayed in had a pelican theme with really cute artwork and Australian memorabilia around the room. The tent had the comfiest beds, a great little kitchen and the best shower ever. Im talking high pressure, hot water with luxurious shampoos and condition that smelt divine. This is my sort of "camping".

Outside there was a whole are the kids could play football on the grass, a great hammock for them to read in and the river to swim, canoe and SUP on. At night we gathered by the large fire pit and cooked up a storm - BBQ, stews, dampers and of course roasted marshmallows. The only downside was getting bogged on the 4 WD beach track up the road as I thought Id take my girls on an adventure. Lucky for me a lovely local rescued this city girl in distress!

I almost didn't want to write this review and just keep this little gem to myself, but its too good not to share. We will be booking again for the summer holidays. But next time I'll remember to deflate the tyres before I go beach 4WD-ing!

Myall River Camp has it all .
When we stay here we are right on the river with beautiful scenery all around us spotting dolphins as they swim by as we swim or kayak on the river. The best sunset you could ask for. The grounds are kept clean & tidy. I love that we can cut off from the hustle & bustle of our everyday lives & get back to the basics of sharing time with our friends / family either around a campfire or lounging on the little beach that’s on site.

The caretakers Maree & the rest of the crew are always happy to see us even if they maybe busy keeping the grounds up to scratch for everyone to enjoy on their stay.

Can’t wait to visit again soon ☺️

The Glamping tents were faultless- beautifully styled, eco friendly and amazing view of the river. We saw dolphins swimming right out the front!! Tea Gardens Hotel courtesy bus picked us up and dropped us home. The managers were friendly and very helpful. A great girls’ weekend away.

Arriving to a softly lit Tiny Home nestling amongst the trees was truly magical.
Waking up to birdsong and the soft gurgle of the river in the morning was even better.

The Tiny Homes are situated in the Myall River campsite, but the owners have thoughtfully
placed them in a gorgeous secluded leafy corner, so you feel like you have your own
" cabin in the woods"

Having the option to stay in this beautiful river front camp ground without having to pitch a tent was the best.

Our Tiny Home had everything we needed for a unique self catering weekend away.
Inside there is a gas hob, fridge, heaps of plates , platters etc and a BBQ on the deck.
The attached private bathroom was a delight with heaps of hot water , fluffy towels
and divine smelling shower gel and shampoos.

During our stay we had breakfast on our own private deck, seated at a beatiful handmade table
and watched the boats floating down the river.

The Tiny House has been beautifully decorated inside with cute Australiana touches- Crochet rugs and colourful cushions
adorn the handcrafted bed ( which also has heaps of storage underneath). Thre are even
even old coins pressed into the kitchen counter and and old travelling suitcase serves
as a cute cupboard

We thoroughly enjoyed the area, which has stunning beaches which are great for swimming, sunbathing and 4w driving
The river is a great spot for water activities so make sure you bring your kayaks or sup.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Myall River Tiny Houses and we hope
to be back really soon!

My husband and I spent a week in the glamping tent to say it’s amazing is an understatement.
Such a relaxing environment in nature without compromising on luxury.
The tent was spacious and inviting. The grounds were well maintained and tidy.
Management were very accomodating, helpful and lovely people to talk to.

Waking up in the mornings we got to enjoy a coffee on the deck while dolphins swam past.

On the morning we were leaving a massive storm came over so we sat inside to wait for it to pass, usually storms would put someone off the idea of camping/glamping, don’t let it. Apart from the noise of a usual storm you wouldn’t even know inside, it really shows how well the tents have been built and looked after.

We cannot wait to return.

Surprise weekend away with my husband for our anniversary. Maree and Mac were so fantastic to deal with from the start. We stayed in the Pelican glamping tent and could not fault it. Super comfy and spacious with everything you need for a relaxing and rustic experience. Comfy bed and lovely linen. Even had a pancake mix in case you forgot your breakfast! The location on the river is divine, caught a flatty straight off the riverbank out front. Cosy wines by the fire at night. Seriously the best R&R we have experienced in a while. Highly recommended. Will not disappoint! Thanks again Maree and Mac!

The staff will visit each campsite daily to collect fees and issue a ticket, usually around mid afternoon. It's $30 per day from this year as well. Just turn up and pick your site, first in best dressed.

Sorry, we have solar so that was not something we checked about and didn't hear any generators, but that doesn't mean much. Sorry 😬
