Almost right next door is Woolworths and another few steps down the road is the RSL which is a pleasant place to have a good meal. Definitely stay again.
We were asked after the first night if we wanted the room serviced and we opted to just replace the towels which was done.
We booked a standard family room, which had two bedrooms (one queen and one with 2 single beds). It was very clean, quiet and we had a good night's sleep.
The sign out front says free wifi and Foxtel. We looked at the room and double checked about tv, Foxtel and wifi.we were assured there all tvs in all room were equipped and the wifi is working. They also told me there was a coffee machine in the room. I think they mean “kettle and packet of instant coffee”.
Then we paid the overpriced $175. It immediately became apparent that one tv didn’t work at all and that the wifi was useless. It just kept disconnecting and we couldn’t do any work.
Then we had to watch tv in one bed.
The guy at the front desk came up with every excuse in the book about why the tv didn’t work and why the wifi was not working. We wasted probably an hour trying to fix it. The weather was absolutely perfect but apparently the weather was why the wifi didn’t work.
And all the road workers staying in the other rooms were up late drinking beer, smoking and being loud on either side and outside our window.
Whatever.
Then my daughter left her hoodie behind and they are refusing to send it to us. Nice!
Stay somewhere else or just keep driving is my advice.
