This is the second time we have stayed here and the main reason for choosing it again was the undercover parking that comes with the deluxe rooms. The rooms are spacious abd well maintained with a lounge and table and chairs. Toaster and plates/cutlery are supplied but no breakfast available at the motel.
Almost right next door is Woolworths and another few steps down the road is the RSL which is a pleasant place to have a good meal. Definitely stay again.
We were asked after the first night if we wanted the room serviced and we opted to just replace the towels which was done.

Standard clean quality $130 hotel, I have stayed in the past, stayed again this time, would stay again in the future. Has good facilities, including a toaster iron etc, a generous amount of teabags and coffee sachets, etc, modern bathroom, comfortable beds… Couldn’t work out the TV, but it was probably me. Great location can walk across the road 100m to Lotts Family hotel for a very cheap high-quality counter meal.

Good location in Sheridan Street - everything is within walking distance (incl. supermarkets, cafes and pubs).
We booked a standard family room, which had two bedrooms (one queen and one with 2 single beds). It was very clean, quiet and we had a good night's sleep.

My daughter and I stayed here last week to break up the drive to Sydney. They only had one room which was a large family room with a seperate bedroom and then 3 beds in another room.
The sign out front says free wifi and Foxtel. We looked at the room and double checked about tv, Foxtel and wifi.we were assured there all tvs in all room were equipped and the wifi is working. They also told me there was a coffee machine in the room. I think they mean “kettle and packet of instant coffee”.
Then we paid the overpriced $175. It immediately became apparent that one tv didn’t work at all and that the wifi was useless. It just kept disconnecting and we couldn’t do any work.
Then we had to watch tv in one bed.
The guy at the front desk came up with every excuse in the book about why the tv didn’t work and why the wifi was not working. We wasted probably an hour trying to fix it. The weather was absolutely perfect but apparently the weather was why the wifi didn’t work.
And all the road workers staying in the other rooms were up late drinking beer, smoking and being loud on either side and outside our window.
Whatever.
Then my daughter left her hoodie behind and they are refusing to send it to us. Nice!
Stay somewhere else or just keep driving is my advice.

After paying $140 for a Deluxe Room the Manager switched us to an inferior and very dirty room. Why? Because my husband has a Guide Dog. It turned out my husband's Guide Dog was much cleaner than the filthy carpet. The chairs were also stained and the curtains fell down. The bed was hard and the pillows were not even real pillows. The towelw were so old and tatty i almost didn't have a shower. The bathroom was fairly new, but that did not make up for the incredible insult of being discriminated against and being made to feel unwelcome.

Overnight stop over - a 'basic' hotel - my room and bathroom a bit dated but clean and a great effort to provide extra towels, shampoo, biscuits, etc. Bed and pillow comfy enough and great location to stroll to pub on a Sunday night. Room had plates, cups, utensils, etc which I didn't use but guess helps out if takeaway in the room.

For a stopover on the way home to Sydney, we chose this one based on price and location.Only $110 so can't complain too loudly. Close to Woolies and grog shop, kids playground across the road. There was ants in the bathroom and intermittent flickering of bathroom light

Extremely clean basic room. The room was very well maintained and showed signs that the owners really care about their rooms. The bathroom was spacious, especially the shower which had a very nice rainfall showerhead. Limited Foxtel channels on the TV were a bonus. Very centrally located - a short one minute walk to the two pubs and Woolworths. No traffic noise. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Gundagai.

I was riding from Albury to Canberra, mostly along the Motorway as the weather was cold and wet. I called in at Gundagai for a rest and this motel looked inviting so I stopped there. I saw that there was only one other vehicle in the large car-park, so I went to the check-in, obviously there were plenty of rooms available and I was given one. I was charged $120 for one night but the room was warm and had a great double bed and a shower and that's all I needed. The bed had electric blankets too. Tea and coffee making things were there as well.

Gundagai is a really interesting place to walk around and the Gabriel's central location makes this very easy. Check in was simple and the room cool and spacious and quiet. There is a children's playground across the road, next to the Visitors Centre and the supermarket next door makes it very convenient. Walk around the town and down to the river to view the long and historic wooden bridge.
