We got a room by asking at the desk on arrival. Room is very small, but serviceable. The door handle fell off whilst we were trying to get out...handed it in as we left. Worth noting that there appeared to be no lift for upper floors. It was ok, but not cheap. A bit annoyed that the receptionist didn't add my ALL number to the booking because "you won't get points anyway"... I think that should be for me to decide. I provided my number, please add it.

I understand that this is a budget motel, but I still expect the towels and pillow cases to not have stains on them. The bed was comfortable, but the stains on the pillows bothered me. The shower, toilet and sink area all share one floor so the shower water sort of goes everywhere if you’re not proactive about mopping it up. Price was good, but disappointed about the linen.

The room I stayed in was filthy, and littered with dead bugs all over the bathroom floor and bench space in the living area. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned in quite a while judging from the build up of bugs, the bed had only been made and new towels were placed in the room, that is all. The receptionist also asked to see my medical exemption (mask) from my doctor, which is completely unacceptable and unlawful as it contains medical in-confidence information about my health. I suggest that staff are informed on these requirements.

We couldn't get accommodation anywhere and this was the only hotel with a vacancy. The room was very clean but extremely small - that's ok for one night but the price they charge for what they provided was really over the top. Apparently they increase their price for the weekend. It will do in an emergency but otherwise, there are plenty of other hotels who charge less and provide more.

I have stayed several times at Ibis Gosford and on all occasions have had no problems checking in. The rooms although a little on the older side are adequate for my needs normally only staying 1 night. there are plenty of eateries eg Mcd's The Colonel and the Club across the street has bistro food. The Bed was comfortable and the amenities worked just fine. Would I stay again YES

We stayed at the IBIS Budget Motel West Gosford on Saturday night ... can't complain about the service ... there wasn't any ... you get a complimentary coffee & tea pack ... but no spoons or any other utensils & the room was so small I seriously was claustrophic & couldn't stay inside except when we got back & I slept ... however fair is fair ..the room itself was clean...

Some pretty harsh reviews on here - but what were people expecting? A suite at the Hilton? The issues others have: The bathroom. Yep, its badly designed - the whole floor does get wet. My tip - leave the bathmat outside the door till you are done. Space: The room is small - but it's a "budget motel". There's a desk, a fridge and a full sized bed. It ticks the boxes. My only gripe is the lack of storage space - just a couple of shelves, so no way to unpack if you're staying multiple nights. And just 4 coat hangers - although they are the good wooden ones that hold trousers and shirts. There's no clock in the room, either - which you don't miss until it's not there... But it's in a great location, and is clean, and the rooms don't smell of smoke. If you can, ask for a room facing the rear - and also park your car there - it's away from the noise of the McDonald's right out front. I stayed over the Christmas break, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not my choice for a family stay - it's too basic, and no play space - but just fine for singles and business trips.…
