Detailed Reviews
The room we had is clean and tidy. I would call it basic accommodation. The room has tea & coffee making facilities with a toaster and microwave. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Being owned by the local RSL & getting a complementary membership was a bonus for eating out!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although the bed sheets were showing their age. The small fridge had separate fridge and freezer sections (each with its own door). Although located on the highway our unit was quiet.
Wifi was very limited, continuously dropping out and very slow.
When arriving there was manual paperwork to be completed which seemed to take forever.

Well located at West Gosford. Walking distance to the RSL and with breakfast options within walking distance. Room was fine, quite large with a comfy bed and adequate bathroom. My only complaint is that the TV is too small for the room, and difficult to see from the bed due to its size. Wifi was hit and miss and not a strong signal. They give you membership to the RSL which gives you a discount on food and drinks, but do not bother with the food - just terrible. We should have stuck with the cafe and a pizza, as the main bistro was simply aweful. Not the motels fault though! Overall would stay again but avoid the RSL!

This motel has the dubious honour of being the worst place I have ever stayed in years. After a bumble with another hotel I ended up here late at night looking for a room. I booked the room without seeing it, wrong thing to do. When I opened the door the stench hit me in the face. The carpet was stained from one end of the room to the other with various substances. It took me a little to figure out the smell that dominated above the others. It seems someone spilled milk in front of the fridge, it's still there, dried and soured. Don't clean the carpet, just blot it up and rent the room again. The room had three beds in it, I turned down the large bed and the pillows smelled bad. I wasn't going to lay in that thing. I was exhausted, so I went and sat on the day bed and dozed sitting up. I kept waiting for bugs to bite me and slept about ten minutes that night. The bathroom and shower were equally gross. The shower curtain looked dirty. I folded it over the stall and used the shower on low, I didn't want to water to splash out and accidentally clean something. The only redeeming factor is there were enough towels that I could line the bathroom floor and not have to step in the filth barefooted. The room wasn't cheap either, $175. I should have slept in my truck, it would have been a lot nicer without the unpleasant odours. The owners or managers of this property just don't care and it shows.

This motel is a clean budget motel opposite the RSL. Is owned by the RSL . Would stay again was surprisingly quiet as it is on the main road, with a big parking area. Was surprised that the flooring was tile, but a guess it is easier to clean………. . .

This motel is clean...and that's about it.
After a trip to Qld and back staying in numerous motels, this one definitely asks too much for what it is. Right on the 6-lane highway, it is easy to find but hard to sleep. The 'deluxe' room is a shoebox. The RSL across the road owns it, but should stick to running the club not the hotel. Lots of tradies were staying so early truck starts didn't help.
Best avoid this one if you have another option.

We stayed overnight at this motel. It was clean, comfortable bed, toiletries were provided and the reception staff most helpful. They even organised our membership at the Gosford RSL where had dinner that night. The RSL is a five minute walk away too.

We had a king room for one night. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ashwood - clean, quiet, updated, good size room and really great value for money. I’m giving it five stars because I think it’s an exceptional budget stay. Great location and very convenient. Would stay again. Thank you!

We needed an overnight stay and picked this motel as it was not far off the motorway. It was clean and comfortable with a microwave, crockery and cutlery. It has a guest laundry which I made use of - reasonably priced. Handy to takeaways (walking distance). Lovely pool and games room. I would certainly stay again.
