Great location for town, shops etc. walking and cycling tracks nearby. Friendly staff but the facilities are very dated. Mostly they just need a good clean- cobwebs cover the windows and light fittings and showers didn’t appear to get cleaned in the 3 days I stayed. COVID practices in place with signage.
Having been to this park nine years ago, always planned a return trip. A great park, and quite spacious. Two ammenities, although old style very good. Well set up for Covid conditions. Great walking and biking around the town and parks. Good shopping centre, with another just a little way out of town. The lady both on the phone when I booked and at the desk on arrival was really great for the job, well done. Although animals were allowed in the park, not a problem. Fires allowed in fire pits, and lots were taking up this advantage, even though it was quite warm during the day. The park has a natural feel, with lots of trees and fantastic sounds of many birds. We were able to have a site where trees were no problem for our satellite dish on the roof. Will return.
Just had the most disappointing stay at any caravan park in recent times.Loved the township of Gloucester but the Council owned caravan park is completely neglected. The garbage bins overflowed with rubbish & the amenities disgustingly dirty even despite several cubicles being closed for COVIDSafe, there was no evidence of cleaning being carried out regularly during our 4 day stay. Even the hygiene of the dump point was questionable. There were 3 caravans together & one couple booked an on-site cabin which was in urgent need of a major clean & renovation. The wine glasses in the cupboard of that cabin were cracked & dirty, meaning they couldn’t be used! Great area to visit but not one of our group will ever go there again due to the lack of management of that park.
Large sites and fire pits available. Pet friendly and people are friendly too. Managers are very helpful and pleasant and the park is right on the river and great to rest and relax and also close to the Barrington Tops and Gloucester Tops areas for bushwalking and day trips. Quaint shops in the main street and an outstanding bakery and great food.
My family has been visiting Gloucester park since the late 1970s - such a gorgeous spot full of natural beauty and charm. We have been so disappointed to watch the park slowly disintegrate into a shabby state of disrepair. Both amenity blocks are at least thirty years old with no updates and very limited cleaning. Most of the toilets have broken cisterns that have never been repaired. The last four visits there has been no or limited hot water available in the amenity blocks. Unfortunately the current owners have taken advantage of the natural assets of Gloucester, including its lovely township and community, and given little back to the holiday park. Visit Gloucester, avoid the park.
