Dropped in for a beer and to hopefully meet Mick. No joy on the latter but enjoyed a couple of beers outside in the beer garden on a beautiful afternoon. As a bonus they had bottled gluten free beer available for my wife.
Nothing fancy but a nice, comfortable pub that I’d happily go back to. A good selection of Parramatta team photos from our glory years in the 80s in the bar.
Plenty of locals there by the time we left.

We were visiting a pal of mine's sister in Gerringong and needed somewhere we could use as 'base camp' for our visit. After some research we found Cronin's. There's plenty of parking space outside the motel rooms. The rooms were basic but clean. There was an A/C unit, fridge, tea & coffee making equipment, big TV, settee and reasonable size twin beds. Bathroom was on the small size but quite adequate and the shower needed a little time to warm up but worked well. Our towels were changed daily.The hotel does not serve breakfast. We did have an infestation of ants but, the day we reported it, it was dealt with. The people were friendly and it was exactly what we expected when we booked it. Good value for money.

My family of 4 stayed at the Cronins Motel recently for one last minute weekend getaway out of Sydney before the craziness of the school term began. Gerringong is so stunning and is a perfect distance for a short break and we wanted no fuss budget accommodation in a great spot so we could spend our days exploring the beautiful beaches, shops and surrounds of the south coast easily.
We can’t fault the Motel - clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning, off street parking bar fridge and a flat screen Tv that kept the kids happy at night after long days in the sun. What more could you want?
We also ate at Jacks Grill one night which was fantastic - you have to try the miso glazed salmon!
We’ve been before and will be back. Thanks team Cronin for having us.

My mother in law stayed at Cronins for a couple of nights while we were camping nearby. She could not fault it. Clean rooms, well appointed and very helpful staff. The previous reviews from years ago had her worried, but she was very impressed with the convenience, value and overall quality.

What a shocker. Food is ordinary and no specials. There was a rowdy group of boys/men in the room next door and no one told them to be quiet. Couldn't hear a thing over the loud singing and screaming. Very inconsiderate. The staff kept apologising but did not tell them to quiet down. Never go there again.

A group of 8 of us on at golfing trip down the South Coast stayed at Cronin’s Hotel/Motel for 2 nights recently. From the first meeting with Pat and then the rest of the staff we couldn’t fault our stay in any way.
The rooms at the motel were clean, comfortable, spacious and perfect for what we needed. The food at the Pub was excellent with heaps to choose from and the beer was cold with a good atmosphere.
So thanks to Pat and the staff for a terrific stay. We will be back 👍

I stayed at the motel recently and was worried because I had read previous reviews from years ago. Please disregard them, I was both surprised and delighted to find the room very clean with good linen, tv and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom, although old. was scrupulously clean and the water pressure fantastic. I also dined at Jacks Grill one night and found the food wonderful. I would not hesitate to return to this establishment....it is great value for money.

Best value motel accommodation on the south coast. Spotlessly clean rooms, recently renovated. Mick and his sons are Wonderfully congenial hosts. Don’t look anywhere else. The pub and bistro are pretty good too!

You can pay much more but you won’t get much better than you will at this little gem! Good quality, modern decor, good bed, good TV, good aircon , good shower, spotless housekeeping. I could go on but as retired moteliers this is what we used to strive for.
