BIG4 Deniliquin is located on the banks of the Edward River and only 3.5 hours from Melbourne, 2 hours from Bendigo and just 50 minutes from Echuca. There is a variety of cabin accommodation, glamping tents plus plenty of powered and ensuite sites. Friendly dogs are welcome (some sites only) from 1 February to 16 December, further exclusion dates apply. The beautiful riverside park also has two swimming pools, flying fox, adventure playground, heated water splash park, bike pump track, giant jumping pillow, mini-golf, barbecues, two private pontoon boats for hire, tennis/basketball court, playground, water sports, boating and skiing! It's a family friendly holiday park but also wonderful for couples and solo adventurers. You may come as strangers, but you'll leave as friends.

Our first time at the BIg 4 so did not really know what to expect. Registration was very quick and staff actually take you to your site and offer to back your van in if needed. This made it really easy in finding your spot. The site had an en-suite which was very new, spotlessly clean and a great asset for us. The overall impression of the park was it was very neat and tidy where ever you went. We had a large downpour which blocked drains but staff were soon out cleaning up and the next morning staff every where making things ship shape. Would certainly go back there. The kids loved the pools and the jumping pillow. Plenty of things for them to do..

This park is so well maintained. Staff are friendly and sites are generous. There are two pools to enjoy and open hours are wonderful. Gardens are maintained and over Easter the bins were emptied several times a day. Security patrolled in the evening leaving you feel safe. River right on the park

Stayed in an elevated two bedroom unit adjacent to the Edward River. Unit was very clean and well presented. Checkin was friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early and the cleaning team of 3 was still working away inside. They were actually there for around 45 mins before we got inside. This gave us extra comfort in knowing they were doing their job properly.
Unit is fully equipped with all required cooking and eating utensils. Cooked one night on the balcony BBQ overlooking the river. We were there a couple of weeks prior to xmas and it was rather quiet. There was a variety of wildlife around with the kookaburras having their daily laugh, and tame possums coming to visit during the night.
Hired one of the parks pontoon boats for 3 hrs in the morning. At $100 an hour they are not the cheapest hire for a couple, but would be more economical for a group. The management gave us a very good safety brief before heading off, and also fitted a radio to keep in touch. We didn’t catch any fish but still had a great time cruising up and down the river.
These parks have come a long way over the past 30 years and we have always had a great experience with the Big 4 chain.

We booked a site for 2 people over Christmas (one tent, one tent attached to car) and wouldn't be allowed to take both cars inside, which was needed and not being communicated on the phone when we were booking the site. The other car had work equipment on board and couldn't be left unattended. So we had to pay for additional two nights, which adds up to be $280 for 2 nights for a patch of grass/ dirt, park nearly empty with 800 guests to arrive on the day we left.
After we setup all our gear, management came and said, we would be able to declare one car as a caravan, if kept stationary and one would need to take down the just erected domicile for the night, which we weren't prepared to do and pitch it again next to the stationary car.
If the park would have been busy, I would have agreed, but in this case I don't. Management insisted and did not refund a single dollar. Merry Christmas.

Regardless of this matter, the almost finished renovating camp kitchen was infested by mice. I could not see pest control being set up. The camp kitchen has all new cupboards, but nothing in it. No cutlery, plates, pots pans...

We were giving opportunity to Management to come forward without success. During the phone call management argued repeatedly, we would have booked until the 27/12 (park expected 800 guests), which is why we would need to pay both sites. After opposing, management checked emails and confirmed, we booked only until the 26/12.

Staff and management were friendly throughout.
Toilets and showers very clean.

Greed is not the answer.

Hi lolar729. We would like to thank you for sharing your feedback on a platform where we get the opportunity to respond. It is disappointing to see that after numerous conversations with our team, and after the initial confusion regarding your setup requirements was remedied, that you are still feeling this way. We would have happily refunded you the cost of the second site had you only used the one site however you did use the 2 sites and therefore have been charged for the 2 sites you occupied. In regards to our new camp kitchen, management have made the decision to remove all the cutlery, pots, pans and plates due to the current Covid situation and guidelines, and replaced when it is safe to do so. While our park has an active pest control plan throughout the park, we occasionally still get the odd field mouse visit, which of course is unavoidable living in a rural area. Our team wish you happy and safe travels for 2021.

We originally booked 2 nights at the Big 4 in a deluxe cabin but extended it to 3 because 1. Location 2. Location 3. The amazing cabin with beautiful views that had everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best park I’ve stayed in, everything looks brand new, the facilities are extensive and incredibly well maintained and the grounds are stunning with access to the Edward River for boats and plenty of spots to throw a line in. I’m already telling my extended family that it’s the perfect place for a family reunion post COVID.

The location was beautiful, the weather was amazing and the accommodation was in a lovely position on the river.
We had dinner outside each night...practising social distancing... breathing the lovely clean air.
So much for the children to do we wanted to have more children there!
We each had our own space, fully equipped cabin... or van.
Covid 19 caused such a difficult time for everyone and with rules changing every day, we felt very safe and certainly blessed

One of, if not the best maintained and managed caravan parks we've stayed in! Ok, for our 3 bed cabin it was on the expensive side of things, and this was for one that was way back off the river (the riverside ones are very expensive), BUT I'm prepared to pay more if one can see it invested in the property. And here it has been done so in spades. The facilities are first rate, and impeccably maintained. The water-based facilities, the sport facilities, the cooking and camping facilities and so on. The gardens, paths, fences, BBQ areas etc - all spick n span. Our cabin was perfectly presented inside too, and a bonus with a 2nd toilet, multiple split system AC units, fully equipped kitchen and two TVs. Heaps of bed options for a large family with comfy beds.
A beautiful setting by the Edward River with easy access to it if needed. My only negative comment would be it is rather far (5-6km) from the town centre, so you do have to drive everywhere, but the setting makes it worthwhile nonetheless. We'll be back!

For a small country town this park is amazing. It’s huge set out perfectly, very clean and has wonderful service. It has all types of a accommodation to offer at all price points. We had our our vans but had a powered site with a ensuite, and one of us hired a clamping tent, those are awesome and well worth the money. We hired the parks 10 seater pontoon boat for the afternoon, that was really sun and made our trip. The river is wide, clean and easy to access and not over crowded. He had heard from friends this park was great so we had expectations, these were meet very easily. If you have kids there is heaps for them to do . Overall I’d say this is one of the nicest parks we have been to so far.

We had a great stay in March 2018 not much to do in the area but the park was great for 5 nights entertaining our 4 children and extended family thoroughly. However upon rebooking for March 2020 was disappointed to be given a quote for $135 per night (and no that’s not an en-suite site) for 2 adults and 4 children for a piece of grass. We will not be returning there is much better value elsewhere.

Hi Tallowwood, Thank you for leaving your review. It is great to see you had a great stay in March 2018. Since then we have made even more improvements to park, with a new BBQ area, Pump track, new powered sites and more. Unfortunately, without exact dates I am not able to check tariffs. Our new recent additions have seen many families & groups really enjoy themselves, and we would love to be able to welcome you back again. Inflated prices, amenities out dated, shower heads and tap handles falling off the wall, big dirt hole in the middle of our site. Staff quite rude. Waited for cleaning to be finished only to find a pad stuck to the wall of the shower. Won’t be back.

Hi Rebecca, we are sorry to read your review as this is certainly not the high standard we set for ourselves and are usually congratulated and complimented on. We take your feedback seriously and understand that things get missed, especially during our busy peak times, however this is by no means an excuse and will be bringing this up with our housekeeping team as we take pride in having clean amenities. We invest care and time into the setting of tariffs which includes complimentary, full use of our facilities such as the splash water park, BMX pump track, swimming pools etc. You may like to take a look at the special deals we often have on offer to make a future holiday more affordable for you. It’s very rare that we hear our team offering anything less than good old country hospitality and are sorry you had this bad experience, perhaps one day you’ll return again.
