Detailed Reviews
The cabin had a Queen bed very comfortable and en-suite and located down the bottom end of the park close to the road and Caltex servo. Trucks coming and going through the night were a bit of a nuisance but not huge problem.
This was all that was available according to management. The new cabins featured in the ads were all booked out by construction workers.
The cleaning products used before we arrived had an overpowering artificial smell such as used in public toilets.
The cabin was clean with the usual utensils crockery and fridge but we found clothing under the bed left by the previous guest. Not sure what that says about the cleaners.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom toilet didn’t work nor did the wifi. The ads promoting the park’s cabins all stress free wifi. Had to walk up near the office to pick it up.
The laundry toilet block near us was locked forcing us to use the laundry at the top end of the park which was well appointed and clean with washers and dryers that worked and reasonably priced.
Management were pleasant and apologetic. Overall the park was tidy with well maintained grounds and gardens.

We stayed in a two bedroom fanily cabin. The kitchen was well equipped, shower hot and parking convenient. The caravan park was well organised, well located and quiet at night despite being next to the highway. Good value.

We stayed three nights on a powered site, adjacent to the amenities block. The park, located at the western end of town, is large and well spaced out. Our site was firm gravel with an adjoining concrete pad, and a well defined drive in. - very easy to access. There were considerable grassed areas which were being watered in the prevailing hot conditions, and a good scattering of shady trees throughout the park. The sites opposite us had extensive shade. Check in was helpful and friendly, and it was evident that the operators were making a good effort to maintain the park as a pleasant place to stay. We found the amenities very adequate - in good condition and clean. The walk into the town centre takes about 10 minutes each way. There’s no pool but the town pool is a short drive away and a very nice facility. Would be very happy to visit this park again.

The only caravan in town and it's overpriced for what you get. Amenities are old and shower was cold. Sites are large and grassed. Facilities are below average and need upgrading to fit the high price that discovery are charging.

Rude staff woman at desk!!
Amenities block is old dirty and hooks and latches not repaired to hang clothes on.
This is the worst gday park we have stayed in. Next time we will look for a free camp not worth $48
Or $43 being a member.
We were also put near the fence
With traffic noise when there was plenty of sites in the middle of the park

Travelling West to East. Unfortunately there is only one caravan park in Cobar. Paid $40 for overnight stay on powered site (not complaining). I have two issues the amenities blocks are dated and in need of repairs and maintenance. One block was closed leaving only four showers and toilets in the mens block and the same in the ladies. These amenities are insufficient for the amount of guests this park can accommodate. They are also in need of a proper clean.
I will not be using this park again. I will be avoiding staying in Cobar because of this.
I would recommend planning to stay at another town/park if possible.

Affordable price with a kennel for the puppies provided for free. Appreciate that the aircon was on when we got to the chalet. The children enjoy the comfy beds although there was only one aircon in the main bedroom and the children's room have none. It was 40 plus degrees and my son kept on coming to our bed to cool himself.

Do not know where to start.
Cabin is very cramped and in serious need of an update and maintenance. Beds are small and hard. But worst of all is the main road that the caravan park adjoins. Trucks driving past at all hours. So much noise and so close you feel the vibration.
Small price but will never be worth a stay

The Cobar Holiday Park, which belongs to the G-Day group, is a good place for a stopover. Our grassy site 24 offered some sun protection on the very hot day thanks to a few trees. The blossoming jacaranda trees and the cheerful quails in spring mood are wonderful to look at. The town center with some historic buildings is one kilometre away. The site, run by friendly people, is very clean, offers good showers and peace and quiet.

$52 a night for a powered site.
Shower block dripping with black mould.
Can't shower there, allergic to black mould.
No drainage so grey water just goes onto grassed area between caravans. I got told off by another caravaner who's site was flooded by my van shower, and he aggressively said it was all my fault.
First time i felt unsafe in my caravan.
Such a lot of fun.
Free camping can't be worse than that.
Leaving cobar tomorrow.
