My husband and I booked in to a powered site to stay for one night. Our only regret?? We did not leave more time to stay longer. We requested a site as close as possible to the Camp Kitchen/BBQ Area and as close as possible to the amenities block. Could not have gotten closer to either if we had tried. The shower block, while dated, was immaculately clean, the toilets were spotless and the showers were amazing. The water temperature and pressure were better than I have in my own home. I did not see one bit of rubbish or mess in the whole park. Special mention to Paige who runs the park with 3 other people. NOTHING was too much trouble for her, and she is a genuinely lovely lady. She says she started off as the cleaner at the park and now runs it. Her attention to detail shows. While I did not use the laundry, I did check it out and it was the same as the shower block. Clean as a whistle. There is a petrol station across the road for milk, bread, pies or snacks, and there is a bus service to town just outside the park. Being only about 2kms or 1.3 miles to the centre of Casino, it is even a distance that is walkable. Plenty of birds to be seen, and we even scored a visit from a green tree frog. The roads in the park could use a little updating, but I am sure post COVID with more people staying and boosting profits, this will be attended to. Cannot recommend this park more. It is lovely. Will definitely be revisiting.

From what I can tell Cabin 4 has been half renovated?
New flooring, new modern dining chairs but with an old table that has the laminate peeling off. Possibly new beds? with nice linen and new blinds on windows, 2 sets, one for privacy and one for night sunlight. very nice. Then there's the old bathroom, dripping shower, broken tile at bottom of shower door, vanity from the 80s, rusty cook top in kitchen, peeled off laminate on cupboard door, peeling/cracked paint on the walls and ceiling. and old kitchen cupboards and bench top & a lamp shade from the 80's (with a non working light) in the dining area. The room itself is spacious. modern air con in main area , and strangely an old air con in the bathroom (odd location).Office hours are currently restricted to 1pm-2pm due to COVID apparently, so I got my key out of the locked box. I'm only staying overnight so can't comment on the rest of the park just cabin No 4.Only enough room to park a car, no trailers/boats etc. Other cabins have a concrete slab for their car but cabin 4's parking spot is dirt tracks between a tree and the fire hose. 3 minute drive to Coles, Woolies and other shops, COVID form to fill out online before checking in, which I'm confused by as it's usually only medical centres these days that require that stuff. Haven't had it anywhere else on on my travels over 2 states. (shrugs) but it doesn't bother me just found it odd. Yes I would recommend this place, and yes I would stay here again. Lets hope the 2nd half of the cabin gets renovated to match the other half. Doing this review at 9.15pm and I must say the park is lovely and quiet, which I like and I tested out the bed, its comfy.

Very enjoyable stay at the Discovery park in Casino. Staff very friendly and helpful - made us feel very welcome. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Good internet and air conditioning. Convenient main road location but very quiet at night - no noise at all except for the chattering of cockatoos!

The Good: Great friendly helpful staff. Reasonably priced.
The Bad: Roads round the park in need of repair.
The Ugly: Be sure to avoid the eastern end of the park. Derelict looking caravans. Rubbish just laying around the sites. Uncontrolled dogs barking and defecating and domestic arguments occurring to top it off.
Not sure why management hasn't acted to eliminate this situation as it will become a health hazard.

The small cabin offers outdoor seating. The inside has cooking facilities, a twin bed and a double bed, and a kitchenette. The laminate on the counters is peeling. The bathroom has a shower but no tub.

Stayed here for work for 1 night,
this Park obviously uses Bore water as it had an odd smell and task, didn't make the morning coffee taste right and showering was not pleasant due to smell, the room although small had a Queen bed and a single. It had a Microwave, cook top/grill and all the usual crockery and cutlery.
The bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water.
The intenet was hit and miss, this may be due to the location of the cabin ( cabin 2 )

The cabin I was in was old and worn out, and not as described during my phone enquiry. The sliding door runners broke so it was difficult to use the door, however the owners did get it fixed quickly, so thanks for that. Location is handy to town without being right in the middle of things. The owners or managers were friendly and told me the cabins were to be completely refurbished over summer so credit to them for that. If the cabins are getting worked on I'll be happy to return again.

The park is a little old, bit the staff and owners are so nice and polite. The amenities were spotlessly clean. We felt extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for travelling through.
