Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't bother. Run, don't walk. Run down is an understatement. Only decent thing was clean linen on the beds. The stove not working properly, lounges smell and dirty, carpet filthy. Locks are a bit dicky Pictures online are not reality. Ready for a bulldozer!!!! :( :( :( 3 sad faces

Stayed for two nights and it was satisfactory because of the location with park and sea views. Parking underneath is tight. NO WIFI is unusual. The bathroom/toilet area needs a complete rework, but I suspect that the owners will demolish the whole building and put up something completely new. Staff are not onsite, but were helpful.

On a positive note, it is situated in an awesome location, right on the edge of town, overlooking the park and a good view of the ocean. Unfortunately, that is all the good with this place. It has a very uninviting forecourt, parking area. The room was tired, I have the feeling it is being run down pending redevelopment in the future. The window in the kitchen was splattered with the remains of some other guests visit and I don't think it was a recent visitor. One of the other guests was on the pullout sofa bed. They found sleeping on the floor far more comfortable than the sofa bed. On a funnier note, you can play "find the light switch in the toilet"

If on the first level you need to use stairwell. So if you have a lot of luggage, it’s a struggle. The beach is perfectly positioned and the view is great from the balcony. All the pubs and restaurants are very close by. The bedrooms do get warm so you need to leave the balcony door open to get a breeze.

The apartment itself was a bit tired, in need of a good paint and some attention to detail. However, It was clean, comfortable and the location was excellent, close to shops, restaurants and the beach with a view of the park. There is no wifi in the unit, but you can access the internet at nearby Waves Hotel for free. I would recommend this stay to friends, but only if they weren't looking for 4 or 5 star accommodation.

An older property in need of a lot of renovation. We had a two bedroom unit, the rooms were large, one with great views towards the sea and the other to the street. All rooms were clean and tidy but TLC required. Kitchen was well supplied. Keys have to be collected from Waves Apartments around the corner.

These apartments are a little dated but you couldn’t wish for a better location. Free parking on site and a 1 minute walk to the beach. Unfortunately no WiFi in the apartment but the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils etc.

Stayed at this place over the Splendor in the Grass weekend and was totally disappointed. Less than basic and the decor had less life than a corpse. And the price was super expensive 😡😡 Then one saving grace, it is well located to cafes and shops.

Stayed with a group of friends in two apartments for two nights during school holidays. At $380 per night it was a little expensive for the quality of the fit out but for an apartment within easy walking distance to the beach and with water views and in the school holidays I guess it was good value. The apartments back on to a reserve that backs on to the beach. Perfect spot. We had 22 on the top floor so great views from the balcony. Our friends were in No 24 on the middle floor. While not a particularly flashy place it was comfortable enough and had most things we needed. Our unit had a great sized shower but no laundry. No 24 had a little shower but laundry facilities in the bathroom. No 22 had carpet in the lounge dining area, No 24 had tiles throughout the living room. Plenty of positives - big white towels, great water pressure, big King size comfortable bed in main bedroom with the balcony overlooking the park and beach, good quality appliances, clean and tidy, undercover parking, basic kitchen supplies - tea/coffee, detergent, tea towel etc., air con in main bedroom and living room. Down sides were some obvious signs of age, no hanging space in main bedroom (hot water service is in the cupboard) and the mats on the balcony held water and were slippery on the tiles (I put them up on to the air con box after I slipped over twice - ouch). Reception is at Waves Byron Bay - a 4 star hotel just down the road. Staff there were lovely. Went the extra mile and were so friendly and genuine. Went for some lovely walks along the beaches, through town and up to the lighthouse. Great pizza just across the road. Would stay here again.

For the $280pn , out of season,we were expecting a bit more. The apartment is is need of a total renovation, its a disgrace. A couple of websites stated there is WiFi, for this price there should be,however, there is no WiFi. The TV has no cable channels and there is no A/C in the bedrooms. Finally the apartment is infested with cockroaches, totally discussing. With the Byron Bay overpriced bars and restaurants couldn't wait to leave . Will never go back. There are plenty of places up and down the coast better value than Byron Bay.
