Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We actually ended up staying at this beautiful guesthouse last minute as we had another accommodation booked that was terrible. We booked in the morning for same day and were greeted by Maria (I think, the Spanish Lady) who was fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. Our room was very beautiful with a comfortable bed and the bathroom had lovely amenities. Breakfast was great and a nice touch that it is complimentary. The house itself is beautiful and makes you feel like you are at a wonderful relaxing place.

Liked · The bedroom & bathroom were spotlessly clean. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast & the magna therapy pool. A lovely place to relax & unwind. Only a 10-15 minute flat walk to the town centre & beach.

Disliked · We would have liked the pool to stay open until 8pm as it advertised to be. Often it was closed at 6:30pm when we were looking forward to an evening swim. It would have been great for the breakfast to available from 7:30am- 8:30 is a bit late for those who get up early.

We stayed for 5 days. Breakfast basic, fruit, cereal toast. Interesting that they used coffee in percolators no one else does this now everyone has coffee machines. Room was big but disconcerting that there was a connecting door to the room next door and you could hear them talking. The only way you could watch tv was lying on the bed, there was no where to sit. There appeared to be mosquitos by the pool and we were bitten through the day. The pool in itself was nice to swim in. There was only one towel per person so it was tricky to have a shower and wash your hair and get dried.
Within easy walking distance of town.

This was the worst place we have stayed in Australia. It was very noisy, and you could hear other guests talking late at night.

Then breakfast was very disappointing. There was two types of bread ( which were still partly frozen) and spreads to go on like Vegemite and peanut butter. There was a tiny amount of fruit. That was it! The receptionist sat in the small room while you are. Not a pleasant atmosphere so guests sat in silence eating!

In the room there was no kettle or hair dryer.

Very comfortable place, run by friendly staff, and within 5 minutes walk from all you need in Byron. Peter is helpful and makes it all very easy. Very clean comfortable rooms, and reasonable rates. Nice breakfast served in the communal area. Clean pool. Would definitely return.

Sitting here with my coffee on the porch, after having had a nice breakfast, with a feeling of wanting to stay. This is the best place. Good people, nice vibe, clean, nice pool - I have only positive words for this place, where I stayed 4 nights. And the deco is soooo beautiful. The beaches are within walking distance. A small advice: check out the Brewery! I went for a concert there, really cool place.

I had to travel to Byron for a funeral and chose to stay at the Guesthouse for two days. It was a fabulous experience and very affordable. The accommodation was clean and attractive, very comfortable and relaxing, the service was amazing and relaxing out the back by the pool was just lovely. I can’t wait to come back again.

The Byron Palms was definitely clean and tidy but unfortunately my wife and i were awake for the majority of the night due to bangs and crashes from other clientele. I can only assume that the internal fitout of the building did not include sound deadening nor insulation.

The staff were super friendly and the whole experience was chilled and relaxed. Attention to detail made sure our visit was all we could hope for. The breakfast area offered both indoor and outdoor seating which was lovely. Would definitely recommend to others.

Hi Cora, Thanks for your enquiry. We don't actually have the facilities for cooking meals, however you can use the fridge in the shared kitchen for drinks and cold foods. Warm regards, Dharma (manager)
