We stayed here 3 nights in a double cube room. The room itself was long with a foamy double bed, fan, fridge and little seating area. They are all decorated really cutely and face onto the pool. We thought this would be noisy at night but was actually surprisingly quiet! There's loads of stuff on offer here too, there's a...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review Heather, so glad you enjoyed your stay. We love hearing that people make the most of our activities like yoga and didge, and that you enjoyed the laid back vibe of the hostel. Please come visit with us another time! Happy travels :)

The coolest hostel I've ever stayed in. Stayed in the small teepee for 2 nights (glamping- tent with power points) then the island retreat for 3 nights. They have normal dorm rooms too though, and a big campsite! Toilets a bit of a walk from island retreat but I didn't mind, it's more fun to stay there and have your...

Dear Laura, Thanks for taking the time to write a review, plus it is a great review that gives a real overview of the property and an understanding of it as well. So glad you enjoyed your stay and would stay again. The good news is we will refurbish the kitchen next year, so maybe it will be a lot...

The Arts Factory is located a little out of town, about a 15 min walk, but they do have a shuttle bus service. They have a cafe on sight which serves delicious food and there's the Byron Brewery next door that serves food and has music etc on at night times. The hostel has a swimming pool, ping pong tables...

Thank you for your review Lazyeyebaily, and might I say, you can actually write a real review! You have told everyone what facilities we offer, extensively as well. Rarely do people get it right when writing reviews, they get caught up in personal issues and finite details and don't really tell other people what the property actually is like! So...

The arts factory is absolutely stunning. I stayed in a Island resort for three nights, so cozy with the most beautiful view and surprisingly clean to be a "cabin" of that sort. A lot cleaner than most hostels I stayed in during my time in Australia. We ended up extending our stay all thanks to the beautiful nature and the...

The nice, quirky rooms were really something special! The place is clean and has OK facilities. The location is stunning, in the middle of nature and the people are very relaxed and happy! They had free yoga classes with a great instructor! The rest of the staff was a bit ignorant and frankly from reception to cafe quite rude...Seems like...

Dear Carlutz, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay and appreciate many aspects of the hostel. Most of the reception staff are long term Aussies, and we also host some international university students. I will pass on your comments to them. The cafe has many international...

I would just like to first say I have not been to this hostel. And after my booking experience, I never will go. What a joke. Took me almost two weeks to find out I couldn't book a room after being told I could initially. Spoke to one lad the first time I called and he told me all group...

Hi Tom, As the manager I am with you, no wonder you booked with another hostel. I am left sucking it up as the GM who lost this booking. I have just read your response, and I am in the process of trying to find out what has happened and why, with my booking manager and reception staff, I am...

It's $36 per night for a cost an and two people and what you get is a car parking space in a stoner gravel car park with no shade. I felt they were taking advantage of the backpacker scene a little. They don't have enough kitchen space for the number of people staying there. However, the vibe in the place...

Hi Izzy, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so glad you enjoyed your experience and the many activities, workshops and free bus we offer. These are an add on, but they come at a price, which is a higher cost per bed/van night per person. Fortunately we are able to offer van space for...

Me and my partner stayed in the Arts Factory for 2 nights. We were recommended to stay here by a number of people. The place itself seems very old fashioned, but is very fitting for Byron's hippie style. Even if this type of thing isn't your usual scene, its definitely worth experiencing. The rooms are quirky; either dorms with themes, teepees,...

If you are looking for a cool backpackers atmosphere then this is your hostel. It is not the cleanest hostel in Australia but it is still very good. This hostel is like a tiny backpacker village in a jungle environment with a swimming pool, music nights, pooltables. All friendly spirits and kind staff. Sweaty kitchen, but that doesn't matter. Facilitys are amazing, and would recommend staying in the bunkers, cause it is really cozy when it rains, and they are a bit more to themselves. It is a...
