Want to be close to the splendor of nature but not too far from the reassuring hiss of a cappuccino machine? Then Byron Bay Holiday Park is your perfect holiday destination. A recent winner of the prestigious Environment Excellence Award, it provides a serene, tranquil environment, with an abundance of plant and animal life. It is an oasis amongst the sand dunes with its modern facilities, amazing views and great atmosphere. It is also within walking distance – and if you take the beach route, what a walk that is! – to Byron Bay, and all the delights that bustling town has to offer, be they shopping, eating or entertainment. Some of Australia’s most iconic beaches: Main Beach, The Pass and Wategoes Beach are all within walking distance of the park, and all have something extraordinary to offer. For the surfer there are those world famous waves, for the family there is squeaky white sand, crystal clear water and the reassurance of patrolled areas, and not to forget the simple pleasures such as enjoying a picnic lunch on the park’s own viewing platform while watching, spellbound, as the migrating whales pass.

We booked an ocean front luxury cabin and when I asked if it was beach front, was told "yes". Except, the lady, perhaps conveniently, omitted the fact that Byron beach has been eroded and beach access restricted, so the whole appeal and justification of paying $310 a night for a beach front cabin disappeared. I was left feeling misled.
Further, the least I'd expect for that price is at least one round of housekeeping for our 3 night stay, which we didn't even get. Smelly towels by the end and the room definitely lost its appeal. In an ideal world, with beach access restored and Byron less full of pretentious Lorna Jane wearing Eastern Suburbs congregations competing for every available room, Reflections could lower their prices and offer a value experience. Or, they could simply improve their customer service, offer some increased room amenity like periodic housekeeping and even delight future guests. Now there's a thought! We're not returning to Byron, but if we did, it wouldn't be at Reflections.

We stayed in a standard cabin for 5 nights and whilst the cabin is small it was really clean and the small kitchenette was well stocked (there’s even a coffee plunger). The rooms are serviced after 7 days but some fresh towels would have been nice. There’s a small table and chairs on the deck but they’re a little uncomfortable.

The park is in a great location overlooking Clarke’s Beach but it would’ve been good to know prior to booking that there’s no beach access due to erosion. It’s about a 10 min walk in either direction to access the beach.

There’s a great coastal walk to The Lighthouse via Watego’s from outside the park. It’s an easy and flat walk to the Main Street of Byron (about 1km). There’s a restaurant just out the front of the park to get your morning coffee.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but some small improvements would make it even better.

Me and My boyfriend stayed in the Airstream campervan for my Birthday trip to Byron. We looked at reviews and tried to find more information about the location of the van before our trip, but it wasn't very clear that the van is so close to an amazing look out over Clarks beach you can literally see the sea from the windows. We were very impressed and it was better than expected. The Van was very clean and equipped with everything needed and we had the best views of the sunset and sunrise everyday. We used the BBQ facilities which were on our door step and had the best time. All staff were very helpful, especially the portugese guy who helped us get some fresh towels. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Ruby & Liam

Don't come here unless you really don't care about which site or location you are placed. We booked a special cabin for a 6-night stay as a special anniversary to catch up with grandchildren and friends in the area. We changed all our dates to get the cabin that was most meaningful to us - we paid the deposit for reservation. On arrival we were bluntly told that our booking had been changed to a different cabin in a different location and we could get a refund if we were not happy!! One star for lighthouse walk which is still free. Sure enough - terms and conditions say "management" can change your booking, price and site, at any time.

We had a powered site for two nights and were very pleasantly surprised with the generous size of our site (109)! The park has direct access to the beach and is a coffee-length leisurely stroll to main beach and the cafes, shops etc. There is also a cafe just next door with beach views. You have a selection of pristine beaches and the Byron Bay Lighthouse all within walking distance, nothing else needed. The park itself was very clean and tidy with friendly staff. Nothing bad to say - we will be back for sure!

We paid $100 a night to stay in a shoe box sized powered camp site. We’re told that two cars can fit in the site and that wasn’t the case.. luckily we had a friendly neighbour who allowed us to park in her spot.

There website mentioned that you cannot access the beach from the entrance near our campsite due to erosion but ensured that there is an access point at the front of the park. This was a lie, we had to access to the beach from the kayak place 10 min walk away and was only notified about this from the sign placed at the front of the park.

Showed and facilities were great, very clean. However it’s not enough for us to be returning back

Stayed in studio 22 - great views of the Pass through a large plate glass window and no neighbours to be seen. We were able to entertain and eat on our own deck using the BBQ provided thereby avoiding the need to go to the public BBQ area - there are no cooking facilities inside the cabin other than a microwave and a toaster though. A very small fridge, so you’ll need an Esky too. Luxurious bathroom!! Very nice spot. Will return for sure.

Australia Day Long weekend 2020. Traveling in my motorhome to Byron Bay for a relaxing weekend sounded like what I needed and I wasn't disappointed. In fact I'd go further and say I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival at Reflections Clarke's Beach, the feeling of a welcoming and friendly atmosphere was confirmed by the reception staff and continued throughout my brief but enjoyable stay. The fabulous site I was allocated, the facilities, the amenities and the rejuvenated improvements following what was a devastating weather occurrence is a credit to all concerned. A must do is the Lighthouse trail walk, Lighthouse tour and a great coffee from the Lighthouse cafe and a sunset & sunset walk along Clarke's Beach as well as a swim at the renowned "Wategos beach". Dinner at "Beach Restaurant" (at the the park entrance) is also a welcome addition and ending to a fulfilling day. The proof of the pudding I guess is would I come back again? Yes - in a heartbeat but next time I'd stay longer. The danger being would I ever want to leave?

We have been staying at Clarkes Beach now for well over 30 years, I must say, this year, the grounds were kept very clean and tidy, the amenities were fairly clean, given that the park was very busy. We enhoyed our annual stay, we would like to see a beach access constructed, this I am sure will come, the big seas have washed away a lot of the beachfront. Staff were very friendly.
