10/10 for the location! Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Byron bay, parking on site means you don’t have to try to find a park in the busy streets and everything is walking distance. Excellent service from booking to check in. We were very happy with the room, room 8. Room is super spacious, clean, very comfy bed, loved the mirrors and the sink in the main room with the shower being separate. Wonderful service throughout our stay. The pool is perfect to sit by and have a swim when the winds pick up of an afternoon.

Perfect location and very friendly staff that were accommodating after our big drive. Walking distance to the main streets and main beaches, this came in handy as we could come back to the room to freshen up a few times a day and still be close enough to go back out for another walk around or to the restaurants without needing the car. Close to walking tracks that lead up to the lighthouse (about 1.5hrs round trip so a decent walk) but lovely beaches and views to stop at on the way. The bathroom was fine having the basin just outside the bathroom area, good use of the space and shower was one of the best we’ve had and a great size! As it is a motel it was a little loud at times, could hear the children in the room next door in the early evenings but didn’t keep us awake. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling into Byron, good value and can’t beat the location! We will stay again on our return!

This place is 50 m from beach and super close to cafes and restaurants etc. staff are super friendly. Rooms are very clean and tidy. They provide a breakfast tray with a toaster, crockery etc if you need it. Def recomm this place.

The photos dont truely represent the online ones, eg the pool in the photo looks like a big lux pool - when you arrive you find it states its only 1.1m deep, so a kids pool that is around 5m long and 2ish m wide The onsite manager demanded my credit card (despite it being booked and paid for via Booking.com). “The power was out” and she was quite rude and basically threatened to cancel our booking - albeit it was the middle of a white out storm on. Friday evening. The following day, i noticed someone had parked behind is in our allocated parking spot (next to a keep clear sign on the pavement. When i approached the person, she went off her nut that my car wS about 200mm over the line and she couldn’t park her car - despite it saying keep clear. Nonetheless, she went and sought assistance from the manager who identified the lady with the parking issue as the cleaner. When i asked her to move her car into one if the many… 20 other unused car parks i was told no and I was rude. I was abused by the manager for parking 200mm over the line albeit when i parked the nigh before in a storm there was already a car somewhat parked on out space - so a reasonable person would have thought i parked ok. We left a day early albeit paying for a night elsewhere.

The property is overrated. Just a regular motel nothing special. Swimming pool is facing the main road. The queen bed ? was rather small for an expensive motel. The toilets were pathetic. I have never seen such a small bathroom. You cannot enter the toilet without squeezing to the side to avoid the WC. The shower did not have tap handles and no shower screen . You had to shower in the corner to avoid the water wetting the whole toilet. The wash hand basin is in the bedroom you have to brush your teeth and wash up outside. !!!!! On the second day our towels were not changed and the next day we left the empty box of tissues out to be replenished but this did not happen.

A little pricey but everywhere in Byron is, I did my research before booking here and this is true value for money. We enjoyed our stay here, and used the pool which was nice, and wifi was good and it was an over all good experience. I recommend the Italian in the bottom of the motel simply delicious.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bay Motel in Byron Bay. It was just a quick stopover, but we left feeling like we needed to come back and stay for a few days. The rooms were so clean and inviting, definitely one of the best motels we have ever stayed in. The location couldn't be any better and the hosts so lovely. We will be back.

The Motel is neat and tidy, great location, close to beaches and shops, you can walk to most places. The pool is good for a swim and to sit around and relax. It was our first time to Byron and we love it and will definitely stay at Bay Beach when we come back.

The location is the highlight of this motel. Really spot on. Great access to pretty much everything you could possibly need. Swimming pool is also quite nice. Ideal to have a little swim after the beach. Impecable service and really friendly and nice clients!

Great staff who booked us in on short notice, our room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfy. only a short walk into town and Italian restaurant is right next door for dinner. beach is just across the road and through the park. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
