We stayed in the Bower Studio. The room was actually a bit bigger than expected. The room was very private, with an external gate which led to a small outdoor area behind a fence, where there was an outdoor shower and the entrance to the room. The room itself was a single open space (except a closeable door to the toilet space) with a robe, bench, and kitchenette type area on the right, the bedroom area in the middle, and an ensuite area on the left. Nice big bath, rainfall shower and the provision of good quality toileteries were appreciated.
The TV was a smart TV and could chromecast from my phone to watch Netflix etc. when we were having a lazy night, which was handy - compared to having to watch free to air or pay for movies as with many other hotels.
The pool at the Bower was also great and plenty of lounge spaces to hang out poolside in the shade.
The accommodation is about a 10 minute walk from the main town area and 15 minutes down to the beach, which may be an issue for some but was good to start the day with a nice walk. There is a breakfast spot right next door as well.
Nothing to complain about with the service. Room was serviced well each day, and the couple of requests we made were met efficiently.
The price is a little more than you might pay for a similar room elsewhere, but probably reasonable for Byron.
Overall, a great stay.

Fabulous accommodation for a child-free getaway.

Located just a short walk from the centre of town, The Bower was a great find for an all-girls weekend away.

Bikes were available to use between 9am – 6pm – the same time as reception was open. This makes getting into and around town quite easy, but walking is just as good, particularly after needing to walk off a large meal and a few sneaky beverages.

Every member of staff that we encountered were very friendly, and very happy to help with anything we needed.

The pool area is gorgeous. It’s a large pool surrounded by day beds and a bar just outside the gate. There was background music creating a nice ambience and (apart from us being quite talkative) it was generally a peaceful area. The pool is heated which adds that nice level of comfort year round. Only opens at 8am though and closes at 7.00pm.

Would recommend this as a place to stay – maybe not for families …. But definitely for the big kids.

Down-side: paying the price you do for this accommodation, it would be preferable to have all the amenities in the room without having to call reception to get them. If you need an ironing board and iron post 6.00pm, reception is closed. So think ahead.

We wanted a clean room in a hotel with a cool vibe which is what we got.
The room was small and you could hear the road however there was a few little extras which made it feel nice and luxe. The hotel also had a pool and a really great guide for the area which were both useful.
The location was good - we walked in town a few times but would probably recommend renting a car (there’s allocated parking at the hotel) to explore a bit further, however they also have bikes available to use.

So pleased we chose to stay here. The heated mineral pool is stunning to look at and beautiful to swim in. The rooms are impeccable and the owner / operator clearly has exceptional taste in style with a focus on sustainability. The mineral and filtered water taps at the bar which are accessible at all hours for guests is a thoughtful and useful feature. Hannah in reception is lovely, genuine and personable. Thank you.

My partner and i stayed for 3 nights during the long weekend for my 23rd birthday. We were greeted with a warm, friendly face and a personalised tour of the property / features, and even better got upgraded to the superior queen room instead of the standard queen room for no extra charge! This place blew my mind and is easily one of the best, if not THE best, places I have ever stayed. We were given two cute bikes (and 2 helmets and 2 locks) for free to use for the duration of our trip, and had the amazing pool / outdoor bar area at our doorstep (big heated pool, luxurious pool beds, sparkling and still water on tap, and unlimited towels, hot outdoor shower). We had our own car space out the front of our room and everything from the amazing french washed linen and robes, to the mini bar products (the do it yourself cheese platter and expresso martini in a can was my favourite ) to the amazing soaps, shampoo, conditioner and linen spray (Kevin Murphy hair products!!) were the best of the best and so luxurious. Even the toilet paper! I love how so many amazing local brands were stocked. We really felt like we were in Byron bay! Spotless, with housekeeping included daily in the price !! We just could not get over how clean, relaxing and beautifully decorated / designed the room and overall property was. So crisp, beautiful and relaxing - and the location spectacular - super easy to find, beautiful cafe next door and only a 5 / 10 min walk to the Main Street. I wish I could add all of the photos i took of the place ! We genuinely can’t wait to return - Incredible value for money and I felt like a princess the whole weekend.

My beautiful wife and I visited this establishment on the 14th To the 16th of January.
Gotta say on opening the door to the accommodation it was like a motel...not a hotel. Extension small and basic. The wall mounted air conditioning unit was a noisy nightmare.? What were the owners thinking? That along with the power blackout for several hours on our last night there added to the worst overpriced accommodation we have ever stayed in. The only saving grace for this property is the pool area is extremely well done, however overall...Don't bother, you will be disappointed.

I'm so sorry that you were disappointed with your stay with us. The Bower prides itself not only on our award winning mineral pool, but also the luxurious extras such as french linen bathrobes, beautiful bed linen, high end hair and body products, our curated mini bar selection and our extremely friendly staff. We are committed to try to make everybody's experience as special as it can be. It was unfortunate that the town of Byron Bay did experience a power outage during your last night with us. Unfortunately this was beyond our control. Again, our sincerest apologies that you have had this experience. Warmest regards, team Bower.

Staff were really lovely and helpful. Grounds and pool area are immaculate. We stayed in the house and the beds were super comfortable. Some of the bathrooms had no ventilation installed and the shower water splashes everywhere and can get in the bedroom. The dusting could be improved especially on lamps, furniture, fans etc. Also for the larger properties there were no first aid kits. As reception is closed at night time it would be a good idea to have them available for cuts, insect bites etc. that you don't want to call the emergency number for. Would definitely stay again with a bit of minor improvement.

The Bower is a gem! We were impressed from the moment we arrived with a warm friendly welcome, immaculate grounds and pool. The barn conversion we stayed in was stunning and had been cleverly and sympathetically renovated, full of designer touches and all the mod cons, not to mention the extremely comfortable bed and well equipped kitchenette. In particular, the designer bathroom had the wow factor - see pic !
The friendly staff anticipated anything we needed during our stay. Located a short distance from Byron centre with a fantastic cafe next door, other restaurants and shops a short walk away. Highly recommended - we will most definitely be back!

We arrived on the wettest weekend Byron Bay had ever experienced since records begun. The first night our unit flooded in one small area because the amount of rain was so big that the pump wasn't coping. In the morning we had a number of people coming to check that we were fine, and everything was fixed. We were even given a lunch voucher for the place next door (which we wanted to try anyway), to apologise for the inconvenience. I didn't mind the rain, because it was obviously unexpected, and it didi continue to rain on and off the whole week.

The unit was very nice and comfortable, with a car park in front, very trendy decor, a good size for 2 people and really nice decor. The only thing missing would have to be a sink in the main room, because there is a fridge, crockery and cutlery which we ued every morning for breakfast, but nothing to wash them in apart from the bathroom sink.

The staff was super nice and friendly, and we loved the water tap by the pool, which had filtered still and sparkling water which you could help yourself to anytime. We managed to sit by the pool for a couple of hours, and it was very comfortable and quiet.

The location is a little bit far from the centre of Byron, and it would have been a bit far to walk. If it wasn't raining we would have tried the bikes, that are avaialble at the hotel.

Overall we really liked Byron and its vibe, and can't wait to go back - hopefully when it is sunny.

We had our Jetstar flight cancelled on a very rainy evening, with only one person trying to find overnight accommodation for everyone, we were encouraged to find our own, along with a plane full of people. Most websites were not allowing such last min bookings so we were calling around. One hotel in Byron had tripled its price, and others were not answering. I left a message with The Bower’s voicemail and had a reply in minutes, a quick taking of details, no hiking of price. and we were set, arrive to a personal note of welcome, room set up and the heating on. What a great stay so comfortable and in the morning very helpful team, organising an invoice for Jetstar and taxis, another person who price gouged due to no ubers around and lack of taxis
We will be back to make full use of The Bowers facilities Thank you for turning a frazzled and wet evening into comfert and restful
