Now I got a shock at how much bigger this space was than it looked in the photo's. 2 of us were more than comfortable in this accom for 3 days. Just for a budget getaway from the Gold Coast for a bit of a Byron Bay hit. Really quiet location and a nice easy stroll into town. arrived on the Sunday and Sunday evening was when everywhere was turned into Coronavirus lock-down and all restaurants were closed. However you can still go for drives, walks and swims in the beautiful local beaches. It was actually so much quieter after that. We will be back. Thanks Paddy.

Value for money!
Paddy is a great host.
The fact you can walk to town and the beach is great - even able to go back and make your lunch to save some $$ then head back to beach!

If there was to be one negative out of an enjoyable stay - is the fact there is only a fan rather than an air con so in the peak of summer the rooms may be a tad warm ??

We had a wonderfull time there, Paddy (the owner) was generous and kind, and he is such a pleasant man.
The cabin is great, claen and comfortable. The street and the living area is so quiet and relaxed.

If you're going to Byron, you should definitly book the place.

We arrived late into Byron Bay, and we're having difficulty finding a place to stay, so the tourist office recommended a stay in one of these cabins.

Location wise they are about ten minutes walk to the main strip. They are very basic, but also spotlessly clean. I can't really fault them, and they are a good budget option.

Wow! What a perfect place. We stayed here on our first rd trip with bub and it had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean, quiet and private. Short stroll from Byron CBD and a great base to explore the surrounds. The price made it excellent value for money. Beautiful memories created sitting on your own deck having morning breakfast whilst listening to the birds in the wetlands literally opposite the property. If I was really picky, I would say textiles were a bit too clashy for me. Some nice neutral curtains and calmer 'beachy' bed spreads would do the cabin more justice. In saying that though, bub loved having tummy time on the bed, exploring the big bright patterned sheets!

After a shocker of a hostel we left, we were looking at a place to stay the night in Byron Bay, went on byronbay/hostels site and found this place. It was about 9.30-10pm, the owner picked us up at the Commonwealth Bank to help us get to the place. Quite okay for value, $120 for a night - 2 double beds and very clean. Very quiet and peaceful, clean shower and a nice set-up.

Very close to town, about a 10min walk max. It is behind their own place, but never had any issues with them at all, definitely would come to this place again if I was to come to Byron.

Nothing in Byron Bay is cheap, and if you are willing to spend a few bucks more, than this might be your dream appartement for a few days in Byron. Located in Paddy's backyard and only a few minutes to walk from the city centre are two extra buildings housing a couple of large appartement rooms with a small bathroom, a kitchen (no boiler plate, though) and TV. The interior is lovely and the rooms are really big, ours had two king-sized beds. Everything is very clean and looks quite new.

The best of all is of course Paddy himself - an Australian original, and a very kind and helpful guy who doesn't talk too much and carries the luggage for the ladies. He gave us a lift from the bus stop, gave us some good tips on Byron Bay and was especially comforting when the main powerline broke down due to severe thunderstorms, and when we couldn't leave Byron anymore because of the closing of the Pacific Highway due to flooding.

If you have more luck with the weather, you will love to stay here - we did despite some heavy rain.

Excellent value for money, great location and great host. Paddy sets you into chill out mode immediately upon arrival with his rule - "just don't bring anyone else back at night so that we can all have a good sleep." No worries, Paddy.
It takes 5 minutes to walk to the shops and beach and has to be one of the best value pozzies in Byron. For a couple I wouldn't consider anywhere else.

This is a great and informal place to stay in Byron. Also If the hotels are out of your price range this is a great alternative. Paddy is friendly and helpful, once we were shown to our cabin we didn't need to contact him until the day we left. When we did leave he let us leave our suitacses in the house before our airport pick up, which was really helpful. The cabin itself is large and spacious and has all the amenities you might need. It also has a big balcony. It is only about 10mins walk from the beach and in the Byron Bay town. Its quiet and peaceful and perfect for a romantic getaway.
