Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Returned after 12 months to find new caretakers. A good amount of money has been spent on improving and cleaning of amenities. The grounds look great and well maintained. I was a bit put off with a $5.00 increase from $20 to $25 per night but after visiting and seeing the improvements - it is worth it. Keep up the good work!

We stopped over here to have lunch as there's no van parking in bungendore main street. We also wanted to have a power nap before the next leg. The caretaker waa absolutely lovely whe n we explained we just wanted a few hours.. there wa no charge! ! Spacious and clean. Lots of room, some shady camp areas. Large toilet and shower block. Small camp kitchen, a bit dirty. Otherwise nothing special but quiet and a quick drive to Canberra.

The caretakers Anne ans Ken do a wonderful job , Ken showed Hubby a couple of sites to choose from and Ann gave me the rundown on the township of Bungendore where to go with a street map and info in regards to wineries and quickest way back into Canberra which is a short drive of 30mins away..Showers are hot and amenities clean, plenty of space for the dog to run ..Must of been baking day an Hubby being the scone lover he is had his plate of fresh scones and the best jam an cream.. Just remember cash only... will definitely stay again,

The facilities are basic and spotlessly clean. The payment and parking procedures are both delightfully simple [$20 per night for a powered site - cash only] It's ideally situated to explore quality local vineyards like Lark Hill and Contentious Character. But the highlight is Ken chootling around in his tractor delivering complimentary afternoon teas of Ann's homemade scones and jam. Lovely people.

Heard about this as a good overnight spot. It was really good. Ladies showers and toilets were good and very clean, think they may have been recently renovated. Were lucky enough to be given scones, jam and cream by Ken, I think Ann does the baking. Lovely helpful people. Would definitely stop there again.

We couldn’t get into the caravan park we planned on staying at tonight and ended up booking in at the Bungandore Showgrounds, 40 or so kms out of Canberra. $22 a night and certainly worth every cent. The caretakers, Anne and Ken are most helpful and obliging, even delivering scones jam and cream to our vans for afternoon tea. They also provided a brazier and wood free so we could enjoy the evening. The sites are lovely and big, the toilets and showers are clean and well maintained. Best of all the showers stay nice and hot, haven’t had such a good shower in a park for ages. I have stayed at lots of parks over the years and I’d have to say although this isn’t the most flashy, it’s definitely one of the most welcoming and worth checking out.

Within 30 minutes of arriving we were greeted with Scones, Jam and Cream. Never had that before!. $22 a night. Caretakers Ken & Anne were very helpful and friendly. Offered extra water hose which we needed. Amenities very clean, lovely showers. A friendly BBQ, food supplied, ( about 3 times a year) was a wonderful surprise & a great way to meet everyone.

Ann and Ken are amazing hosts. The campground itself was fine: very clean showers (and supplied foot towels), clean toilets. However, upon our arrival, Ann cooked us scones delivered to the door by Ken with homemade strawberry jam and cream. That night, Ken and Ann put on a barbecue for the guests. They supplied the meat, salads, bread rolls and deserts. Thus, all the campers mingled and socialised. Great night and great hosts. The campground is not far from Canberra, and most reasonably priced. Price included power and water.

Stayed three nights here while visiting friends in the ACT. Caretakers Ann and Ken were very welcoming and helpful. Her scones, jam and cream were a lovely touch. Large sites, power and water. Amenities old but adequate. 3 km drive to Bungendore village. A lovely little place.

After our initial consultation with the caretakers concerning the location of our powered site, and after setting-up our caravan, they presented us with a plate of homemade scones, with homemade jam and cream. Very nice. The facilities are clean and have been recently renovated. A good place for caravaners and campers.
