My wife and I were marooned for 8 days in Brunswick Heads during the recent Northern River area floods. We were unbelievably fortunate to have reserved a room at River Inn, which turned what could have been what could have been a disaster into a memorable experience. Terry and Sue, the husband and wife team who manage the motel, were extraordinarily helpful throughout our stay, which necessitated extending our accommodation on a day by day basis as we waited for the Pacific Highway to clear. During this time, our room was immaculately maintained and nothing was spared for our comfort. The motel is great value for money, and was fortunately situated so as to escape any effect from the flooding which did affect much of Brunswick Heads. I cannot recommend it highly enough to tourists and holidaymakers.…

Positives: Large room, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants and the beach a short walk away. Negatives: No microwave or toaster. Only one chair for the long desk. Oned face cloth in a room for two and a towel holder would have been appreciated. No biscuits and street noise was a bit loud. The man at the desk was obviously having a bad day as he was a little too abrupt, and again when speaking to him on the phone. Asked about a compendium but no because they' get stolen.' Now while there are a number of negatives, this was somewhat based on our 4th night of travelling and we wanted to save what we thought would be 'the best'. We'd stayed in regional towns out west which I believe were better even though smaller.

Had a great unit, sunny and over looking the river. Handy to everything . Walking distance to the ocean beach. River is good for kayaking and swimming.We started our Trip a Deal Hinterland trip from Brunswick Heads.

Nice friendly staff beautiful place to stay overlooking water verandahs to sit on watch world go by close to pub markets across the road and plenty of cafes to enjoy and clothes shops as well generally a nice area

We were so happy with our choice of accommodation! Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, clean, neat and well maintained. Perfect location, great water views, close to shops, restaurants, beach and next door to the Brunswick Pub. We would like to acknowledge Kylie she was so friendly and professional. She even assisted us to carry some of our luggage downstairs to our car! Thank you Kylie, much appreciated.

This is an excellent place to stay in Brunswick Heads. It is close to everything - the shops, the river and the ocean. It has a small balcony, comfortable bed and provides basic motel amenities. The manager/owner (Terry) was very hospitable. For value, I would highly recommend it.

Couldn’t fault anything with our stay. Checking in a breeze, friendly greeting and service throughout. One of the cleanest motels I have stayed at, glass and mirrors sparkling. Location is brilliant, would love to have stayed longer - thank you.

Husband & I stayed here for a little getaway and were very pleasantly surprised. From the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of our reception, the great location with amazing river views and the immaculate cleanliness of our room, we highly recommend this motel. A big shout out to the lovely housekeeping team who were so friendly also and so keen to service our room daily. They did a fantastic job, the room was immaculate. Thank you all so much for a memorable getaway, we will definitely be back.
