Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the moment of arrival we felt welcome and valued. The team here are friendly and professional, and really made us welcome. We dined in the restaurant on one evening, great food, well presented and delicious.. good value too. The bar and lounge are so comfortable so sit and relax, enjoy a drink and a small plate, again superb value and delicious food. There are beautiful grounds to explore and a golf course too. Thoroughly recommend a few nights here to explore the area.

There were very mixed reviews but we decided to give this hotel/guest house a try. It was great!!! You have to understand the building is heritage so there will be quirks. These give the atmosphere! We were helped upstairs with our luggage - much appreciated. Room was adequate, bathroom a good size and a shared balcony overlooking gardens and golf course. Only downside was inadequate lighting. I had hoped to do some reading but this wasn’t possible (how about a few down lights?) There are a number of lounge areas plus bar and restaurant. Breakfast was basic but plentiful, the included barista coffee a nice touch. Dinner both nights was delicious. All in all a lovely stay for our wedding anniversary and we’d love to return.

I loved my recent stay at Peppers Craigieburn Bowral and plan to return at some point in the not too distant future. I was in a Elms Balcony Room which was well equipped and opened up onto the gorgeous balcony with golf course and stable views. The food at Craigeburn was delicious. My package had breakfast included and the buffet breakfast was surprisingly delicious (I was amazed how they could cook poached eggs in bulk that were perfect). Having a barista available to keep guests caffienated is an added bonus. We also chose to eat dinner in the lounge on both nights of our stay and everyone was happy with the food selections (highly recommend the salads too). To top it off, all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for making everything perfect!

Three nights for my birthday, staff and restaurant food were good. Have stayed in 214 prior, this time 217 was much smaller room, very little storage for clothes, noisy early morning with other guests with small children on balcony, and same adult guests talking on Mobil phones at 4am was very annoying. Our room was not serviced on our third day (we were out at 9:45am back at 4:15pm) had to ask for towels, too late for anything else. Won’t stay in Elm rooms again - prefer the area closer to the car park entrance door where we have stayed before. Food at the restaurant was very good especially the wagu steak special.

The water hammer in the ceiling was ridiculously loud Everytime someone used the bathroom in the block it would hammer and wake you up. Lunch was average best on the menu a club sandwich. Breakfast was decent food was warm and a good variety..

Peppers Bowral is definitely the place to stay if you want a touch of Old World charm, very pleasant and helpful staff complemented by a really good restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the surrounding gardens and view of the golf course added to the overall ambiance.

Prettier than in the photos. Beautiful gardens and old building. Staff were all helpful. Very much enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Lots of space if you like to get away from other guests. Special mention for the check in staff. They were very helpful and efficient. We accidently left about 6 pieces of clothing in the walk in closet. They were very understanding when we rang. Taylor S rang me when they arranged to mail the clothing back to us. She was very polite and the parcel arrived the next day.

The building is looking tired and could use some love. Carpets needed replacing, outdoor wooden seating was very uncomfortable. Billiards room had one functioning cue stick the rest were damaged. The bed was very uncomfortable. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant.

Great venue. Old world charm .great setting, located 5 minutes from Bowral,Mittagong, Mossvale. Offers great walking opportunities, set on a golf course. Beautiful gardens. Comfortable room. Buffet breakfast was modest but adequate to set you up for the day. Dinner menu great, covered main food types and was delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. The venue is old and well maintained for its age, If you want something squeaky clean and sterile go somewhere else but if you want a stress free stay at a beautiful Old mansion then stay here. If there had to be a negative, all the corridors and general areas are beautiful polished timber floors the fore noise carries

We have stayed several times and have always enjoyed the welcoming relaxed atmosphere. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and well appointed. The dinner menu offered good choices and the presentation first class. Food delicious. Also, breakfast was comprehensive. We have re-booked another stay in Winter. Hoping for some snow.
