Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The moment we walked into our room, we felt at home and knew we had come to the right place for serenity and refreshment. The furnishings were inviting and the bathroom was modern. We enjoyed the complementary sparkling mineral water from the minibar. We were so rested by the time we went to the dining room overlooking beautiful gardens the next morning. The full cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. We thoroughly recommend Links House.

The beds were comfy & room was clean & very quiet. Arrived on 34c day & heaters were on in bedroom! Opening windows but no screens so couldn't leave them open as flies & insects came in. Included breakfast was adequate but not generous. A bit far from town in suburbia with no cafe or restaurants nearby. It would be ok if you had a car. There is an on-site restaurant open some nights. Bathroom was VERY small & looked recently renovated & nice BUT totally impractical. Shower had half a sheet of glass so flooded floor & basin was so small & high, water splashed everywhere when using it. No storage or shelf under sink so nowhere to store toilet bag, creams etc. It reminded me of a guest house from another era but with modern amenities.

Room Tip: A car would be useful for a stay here. Room 1, 2, 3 are quite noisy as entrance door slams shut....

Lovely, friendly, boutique Hotel with traditional Australian hospitality, the reason why we keep coming back to visit when in Australia. Great location for exploring Bowral and the beautiful Southern Highlands. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like family; Michael and Megan went above and beyond, which is what makes this quite, relaxing, hotel so special. This visit was with my partner, daughter and granddaughter! The hotel has been newly renovated, the rooms are clean, comfortable, warm and cosy, a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cooked breakfast was delicious! Thank you again Michael and Megan, already planning our next stay when we visit from overseas.

I paid for my son to spend three nights here and also for a family dinner. Despite spending several hundred dollars it took forty minutes to finalise payment (and there was nothing wrong with my credit card), and during this entire time one of their staff stood behind me.

Very disappointed. Was last here 20 years ago and it was wonderful. There is no tv in rooms or lounge. Bedroom very small. Bathroom was the tiniest ever. Bed and 2 side tables - no storage in bedroom. In adjacent small room was a Coffee table and 2 uncomfortable chairs. Cupboard with electric kettle etc. Small wardrobe. No stand for a suitcase Had to leave it on floor. Nowhere to place anything. Room had been redecorated tastefully but not functionally or comfortably . HOWEVER the staff were charming and restaurant excellent. A beautiful old renovated establishment in a lovely surround but rooms not up to scratch. Will not be returning.

Recently renovated. Beautiful setting, clean, cosy room and bed. Unfortunately, the bathroom was tiny, impractical and disappointing. No tvs in the room or common area. They did give us an ipad but it's not like having a tv. Breakfast was delightful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks.

Uncomfortable beds pushed together and uneven. The shared driveway had so many pot holes you could damage your car driving into the parking area . The breakfast was enjoyable and served promptly in the morning. The property could be good if it was better maintained .

Loved our stay at the Links House. An original hotel built in 1928 with all the modern touches. Warm and inviting with an open fire in the common lounge area. Staff were wonderful, couldn’t do enough to please. A delicious breakfast too. We will be back.
