Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at the Berrida Hotel for a week and loved every minute of it. We had a family room on the second floor and it was perfect for us. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, and were always very professional. We experienced a fantastic meal in Bistro Sociale, where wait staff were fantastic - helping us with options to suit our allergies and food preferences. We also enjoyed some lovely cocktails - in the restaurant, in the Whisky Lounge and in the games room while having a game of pool. We swam, used the sauna and generally explored the hotel and it's many eclectic decorations and artworks. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a quick break, or for a longer stay. We will definitely be back.

Hotel's Favourite
I recently stayed at Berida Hotel with my mum for a mother daughter weekend, I can not praise the employees enough! We stayed in a King Deluxe room with split twin beds, emailing reservations before I booked they were so helpful with recommending the best room type (I feel twin beds are a thing of the past so to be able to book this was great). The day before check in I received a call to ask if we wanted to book in for dinner as they didn't want us to miss out as the restaurant usually books out - again customer engagement TICK! I pre-checked in which I loved and this made check in fast the lovely lady who checked us in gave us top winery recommendations and gave us the full run down of breakfast etc. Highly recommend a dinner at Bistro Sociale service, food and atmosphere is again fabulous. Only two recommendations - 1) Employee Name tags: I would like to know who is serving me so I can say well thank you John. I am one not to ask for names as I don't want to make the employees nervous as the line "& what's your name" usually references when the employee is in trouble in my opinion. 2) Another food option other than Bistro Sociale: Room service mains are four options from Bistro Sociale, having the back Gin Room perhaps a suggestion of a less Alacarte option for patrons who are after something light or basic e.g. club sandwich. Having dinner at Bistro Sociale the first night we didn't feel like it again our second night. Overall a fabulous stay, highly recommend to anyone travelling to Bowral.

We ate both nights at the hotel - once at restaurant Bistro Sociale and second night we ate from bar food menu - both delicious - buffet breakfast superb! All staff were fabulous - so helpful, friendly and efficient. Our bed was comfortable and we cannot fault the cleanliness. Beautiful swimming pool and facilities completed an enjoyable stay.

This is the 23rd year that we have stayed with friends at Berida in early November. As usual, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. As we are now in our 80s we are not as active as we were twenty three years ago but the staff looks after us well from a delightful breakfast through to a relaxing evening.

We liked spending time in the Southern Highland and our favourite hotel was Berida Hotel (Manor) for many years. Unfortunately the prices skyrocketed since it became 'Hotel'The room we stayed in was so tiny that you couldn't swing a cat not to mention the bathroom that was child size. We had breakfast in the hotel. The buffet is very stingy. You constantly have to ask for items to be restocked, definitely not good value. The staff is very polite and nice

The room and corridor leading to it was cold, no heating or heated towel rail in the bathroom, the changing rooms at the pool were very cold, we couldn't find a costume spinner. We asked for decaffeinated coffee at breakfast and were told it would be an extra charge!!! Finally, we felt our complaints were not handled at all well by the staff.

The pillows are not great and the mattress was average. I had sore ribs when I woke up. Definitely not plush on any level. The bathrooms are tiny in the ‘King’ room and there is no body lotion. The gym has two old and useless stationary bike machines (not spin bikes) but otherwise acceptable. The pool Looks good but didn’t use it. There was no gratus water in the room.
