When I arrived at this lovely little bed and breakfast in Bowral I was met by Julie who showed me to my room and was then greeted by my two friends who had already settled themselves in front of the gorgeous log fire in the sitting/dining room. We were left to drink our champagne and eat the cheese, biscuits, grapes...

From the moment we walked in the door until we left we felt at home. Fabulous cottage, nice décor, wonderful hosts, good breakfast and an open fire the laze in front of just right for cold nights. We will definitely be back.

Great accommodation. Had a minor hiccup with booking but owner really made sure all was ok. Very pleased with rooms and service. Excellent, clean 5 min walk from Main Street, Bradman museum. Perfect will come again and recommend.

Just spent three nights at Strathburn Cottage over the Easter long weekend. Had the first two nights in the Bong Bong Suite. Huge! And exquisitely furnished. And it overlooks the back garden. Had the third night in the Centennial Suite. Small but still gorgeous. It's the old hayloft. Both rooms are removed from the rest of the house so they...

Strathburn Cottage is a well-kept set of buildings which includes renovated stables dating from the 1860's. Our room, Oxley, was part of the original house. The bed was comfortable, there was just enough room for luggage, and the small bathroom provided the essentials. Being next to the front door, the hall light, kept on for late-comers, was visible through the...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night to celebrate her birthday. Was a beautiful place set back from the road. We stayed in a loft style annex and it was excellent. All the facilities were functional, the bed was comfy and the room had a great vibe about it. The owners were friendly and helpful and very quick...

Having been a resident of the Southern Highlands for 15 years, coming back is always a lovely experience. Returning for a wedding is even better. We booked Strathburn without knowing too much about it. We booked all but one room. Centrally located, it is a delightful place to spend a weekend. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the bathroom...

Hi we got there early and Dawn was really not happy to see us. The bedroom was very worn and furniture was dirty. Pillows look like they were 100 years old. The place was really shabby for $275 night. There was nothing good about the place apart from the lovely gardens. The bathroom was so small and black caterpillars in...

This review is extremely critical of our property. The only problem is that I am unfamiliar with this reservation/guest. I would like a more defined dateline for this stay. I am the owner and do not like my name involved with this review. I don't even know when this guest stayed. It seems very very critical and not in line...

Upon arrival we weren't terribly impressed with the look of the cottage but the gardens surrounding the cottage are beautiful. Once we unpacked and had time to talk to the staff and absorbs the surrounds the cottage grew on us and we found it to be very charming. It is also clean. A glass of wine in the courtyard at...

We arrived at 6pm without a booking but a phone call was all it took to be offered the only available room, the Bong Bong suite at a standby rate of $155. Dawn was delightful and welcoming and described everything in detail even though she was offsite. The suite was huge and comfortable but decorated in dark colors and thus...

In response to this review I would like to point out a few matters pertaining to the review. These guests were able to take advantage of a significantly lower rate than normally charged when they booked into the Bong Bong Suite. It was their choice to stay another night and they were shown the Gibraltar Suite, which is charged lesser...
