From the reservation till the stay, nothing but compliments. Needed some assistance as it was our 5th wedding anniversary and the owner dawn was great. The suite was superb, bed was excellent (a nice surprise), staff was very attentive. Breakfast was English, nothing special but more than correct. It seems the owners are selling which is a pity but I hope...

This is one of our favourite stays in Bowral, especially as they allow one night stays where other places don't. Lounge area is very cosy, rooms are comfortable and hosts unobtrusive. My only gripe is the quality of the cooked breakfast. More effort could be put into this (ie use of herbs or baby tomatoes, the scrambled eggs were way...

Strath burn provides the kind of B&B experience that would be great if we weren't paying $270 for the night. The staff are hospitable and helpful. Strathburn is an easy walk into Bowral and the gardens are lovely. The breakfast room / lounge is nice with tea, coffee and cake on tap. Breakfast was pretty good. But the problems mentioned...

Have stayed in this cottage twice now and loved it. Breakfast is excellent in the morning but get down early if you want to have a private table with your partner. Otherwise you have to share with others. The bed is comfee and the room is huge- loved the little kitchenette in the Bong- bong room. We love grabbing a...

We stayed in The Loft and were very disappointed, we were constantly mopping water off the bathroom floor due to tap and shower leaks, all fittings old and unloved. Blinds watermarked, carpets were clean, bed reasonable. Our overall experience was less than the reviews and definitely would not stay again.

Stayed only one night. Very comfortable and warm friendly welcome. Breakfast was excellent. The house is old but very charming with many heritage features. The furnishings and decor of the rooms match the age of the property.

Fabulous stay in the Centennial Suite. The room was large and very clean. Breakfast the next day was lovely, fresh fruit and yoghurt was nice. You can choose a hot breakfast too. Very good value for money and close to the town centre. The owners were very helpful and they were accommodating. There is parking onsite.

We stayed in a large room just off the breakfast area. The room was notable for the very large bathroom with luxury bath and a separate shower. It was a nice touch to provide afternoon cakes, tea and coffee. Breakfast was generous and included touches such as fresh fruit that were appreciated. All of this for a very competitive price.

One night in Strathburn Cottages in March 2016. Very comfortable, clean and friendly. Hosts are very accommodating - provided spare bed, extra towel etc. Breakfast is well cooked and plentiful. Very pleasant stay Ian well-located bed and breakfast. Will return!

We stayed at the Strathburn Cottage last weekend for 3nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. BUT the place itself was very disappointing. The room was very small and we had difficulty fitting in both our suitcases and 2 adults. It was dark and gloomy. The air con worked but the room still smelt of damp and fried food (the...
