Despite having fantastic food for many years, there has been a serious decline of late. Pizza is still good but not as amazing as it used to be.
Our expensive salad was a mountain of under ripe tomato, a piddling amount of roughly chopped mozzarella, (which used to be soft and pillow light bocconcini) and a miniscule amount of basil. Totally underwhelming. Can't imagine any chef worth his salt letting that go out. Even when it was returned hardly touched nobody bothered to ask why. Our plates remained on the table for over half an hour, preventing us from having the opportunity to compain and was eventually cleaned up by, wait for it, the covid monitor only minutes before closing. I live here and won't be going back in a hurry for an expensive, overrated pub meal.

Stayed overnight on our way to the Snowy Mountains. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Good sized family room with a QS + single and a sofa bed. Fairly quiet location. Extras in the room like crockery/cutlery and a microwave are a great addition when having dinner in room from a local takeaway.

These motel rooms are revamped frome an older two storey block, but the are comfortable and clean. Room 7 had a queen bed which was comfortable, the room simply but adquately furnished. Ensuite had a roomy shower and good hot water pressure, decent towels. Perhaps we would prefer a basic soap made locally rather than Chinese with their low quality chemicals.
Adequate carparking, quiet through the night. A few metres from the hotel and bistro which we thoroughly enjoyed. Morning coffee avaiable 50m from the hotel entrance, along with takeaway breakfast.
A star off for the bery difficult and sticking doorlock, which we mentioned on leaving. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Overall the accommodation is good. Clean and spacious. There is a fridge and the tv had a range of channels.

It’s is centrally located and a short 5 min walk from the railway station.

Got a takeaway pizza from the bar/restaurant next door which was good value and tasty.

I’ve rated this average due to the unfriendly service at reception and the noise.

Reception was lukewarm. Not a biggie however I’ve had much friendlier service at other motels.

The noise at night from other people passing the room was disruptive during the night. Not sure if this is due to being attached to a bar and car park.

Overall this is fine for a night. Perhaps bring earplugs just in case.

The pub its self was ok,The meals are over priced and very standard. My Husbands fish was soggy and the kids nuggets were rock hard.We stayed four nights but ended up eating elsewere. Now the Nitty Gritty..The rooms,Well attention to detail and cleanliness was far from acceptable,Hair in all drains, soap scum in the shower, dust, and just not upto standard. The Women for want of a better word who cleaned the rooms were foul mouthed and lingered smoking cigarettes near our Door,I had to ask them to move on.The language comming out of there mouths was Disgusting to say the least. We were far from impressed Esspecially with children present.Apart from that its a good location quiet rooms except for the cleaners.
Would we return ? No Unfortunately.

Atrocious. So, I wanted to get a takeaway coffee from the Imperial. Tried to check into the premises on my phone, and their QR code wasn’t registering for me. The service rep offered to check me in on her phone, which was absolutely fine. Then she demanded to see my license. Honestly, that would have been fine too, except for the fact I didn’t have it on me. I was more than happy to give her my details. She then made terse accusations that “well, you could just make any name up” - essentially impugning my character.

Ultimately I was refused service. I am a business owner and I know for a fact that there is absolutely no government requirement that drivers licenses be produced in these circumstances. Alternative means of checking in are legally required in cases where a person does not have a smartphone (or it’s not working), but a business is not entitled to refuse service simply because a person doesn’t have a drivers license on them.

She then aggressively pointed out “you’re also not wearing a mask”. I informed her that I have a mask exemption for medical reasons - proof of which I have stored on my phone, and which I was more than happy to show her. Clear discriminatory behaviour to refuse service in this instance. What an appalling experience. I will never go here again.

I’m always skittle wary staying at a motel apart of a pub but The Imperial Motel was great. Although the rooms are basic, they are clean and tidy. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept us warm all night.

Located on the Main Street of town you couldn’t get any closer to the shops and cafes.

We dined at the hotel for dinner and the atmosphere was nice with all the open fires.

We would definitely stay again.

We ordered pizzas then tried to find a table to sit at. Although it wasn’t busy, all the empty tables had reserved signs on them, for later in the day. When a table became empty, we sat there, only to be told that the table had just become booked. The whole place was now empty, with all the tables “reserved”. The waiter then begrudgingly said we could stay, but we had to move to another table, so he could set up our table for a booking two hours later. Couldn’t believe the woeful service. We quickly ate our pizzas and left - with the rest of the place still empty.

Cruising into Bowral on a cold May afternoon, it was time for the wife and I to find an Inn for the night to recharge those batteries. Greeted at the imperial reception by a young bloke who looked like something from a Newtown pub band complete with a large hickie and nose ring, but friendly and a tad vague. Off to our room, comfy and well priced enough for a town that seemingly is surviving on Sydney people making it their little ‘getaway’. Grabbed some tea at the attached pub. Friendly staff, meals might be a couple of bucks more than others, but great servings and well done. All in all, good joint.
