This motel was quite honest about what it was. Advertised as 3 star, it lived up to that description. It was dated inside and out, had no extra facilities like a laundry, breakfast options or any general information. The bed was reasonably comfortable and they had done a fair job of renovating the bathroom except for one area of sealing in the shower. However, the overiding jssue was the smell. It claims to be a non-smoking motel but I don't think that has been the case for very long. The smell was of stale smoke with an unidentifiable musty presence. When we returned to our room each day it nearly knocked us out. I used so much room freshener but it made little difference. The staff were very friendly and keen to help but didn't seem to understand the industry very well. This is a last resort option, as it was for us. I wouldn't recommend it other than that.…
We had an overnight stay here in a standard queen room to break up a long drive. The room was very dated, had a musty smell and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. There weren’t fly screens on any of the windows. The bed was reasonably comfortable.
We had to attend a wedding in Berrima and looking for a place not too far but affordable, which we stumbled upon The Oxley Motel (approx. 15-minute drive to the wedding venue). We only needed a one-night stay, clean, affordable and with the usual convenience, that most places offer. The Oxley Motel, checked the list I was looking for. Our room had reverse cycle air conditioner, refrigerator, complimentary tea / coffee, microwave, flat screen digital TV, free Wi-Fi, wardrobe, free parking space right in front of your room and if you wish, they even offer room service continental breakfast which consists of a choice of juices; fruit (prunes or peaches); cereals (Muesli, Corn Flakes, WeetBix, Coco Pops, Sultana Bran); 2 x Toast & Butter (a selection of breads: white / wholemeal / multigrain / raisin and spreads: marmalade / honey / vegemite / jam); Baked Beans; and Spaghetti – all itemised with individual costs but you must order by 8pm for the following morning. If that’s not what you are after, there are many nearby cafes to choose from, only a short drive away (approx. 3 minutes) from the town centre. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand / body lotion and shaving cream are provided from clearly marked dispensers attached to the wall even make-up removal cloths. All rooms are non-smoking but there is a pot placed outside your room, for smokers. I found this place excellent value for money at $160 for ‘Comfort Queen’ and with the comforts at your finger-tips. I highly recommend, if you are looking for a simple overnight stay and quiet place to rest. The staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful.…
I was getting quite agitated about us relocating. At about 10 am we checked in to this motel. It is on the main road out of Bowral, going to Moss Vale. We chose a room at the back of the complex which I imagine was quieter than those closer to the road. From the cathedral type ceiling I think that this dates from the 1970s but it has been refurbished and it is in immaculate condition. Only odd note is a hand basin in the kitchen area, rather than a sink. Unit was scrupulously clean. Staff were thorough about Covid without being unpleasant. Quality of the bed was v welcome after the bad mattress of night before. Shower is brilliant and big enough for two, if that is your thing. You could cater for yourself, modestly if you wished or there is a plethora of good restaurants are nearby. If you find Bowral’s parking to be a bit daunting head off to Moss Vale. Great motel. Plan to stay again.…
From the first interaction (a phone call) the experience was professional, efficient and helpful. Even though we had stayed at the motel before, Thu was new to us but clearly outlined the types of accommodation, prices and honoured all commitments. The room had been renovated since we last stayed and the ensuite bathroom is very clean, has a walk-in shower and the towels are white and soft. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand and body lotion and even shaving cream are provided from clearly marked dispensers attached to the wall. In the main room there is a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle together with the necessary crockery and cutlery, a settee which also could act as another bed and a small 2 seater coffee table. There is ample hanging and draw space as well as a desk and small lounge. The bed is comfortable and bedside lighting is good. Ample parking is available and there is a well maintained lawn area with benches and umbrellas to facilitate a pleasant afternoon beverage and/or meal. The Oxley is one of the best in the area and is excellent value for money! Highly recommended.…
Basic facilities but clean and all you need for an overnight stay. Surprisingly quiet and well located with the town centre a short drive away. If you are looking for a simple overnight stay it is a very good value quiet option.
Driving into Bowral , wow what a beautiful place , the motel is a bit out of town , but restaurants will deliver if they are open, the room is spacious , bed was comfortable, pricing was good, staff where great , its one of the cheaper motels in Bowral
Stayed for three nights. Nice comfortable room with plenty of space for bags, etc. Good sized bathroom. Bit cramped in the tea making area. Nice and quiet even though it is on the main road. Plenty of room to bring in some food with a table and chairs available.
Good roadside motel on the outskirts of town. Room was fine with plenty of space with a decent bed and shower which is what you want after a long drive. Nice and quiet too. Not far from the Bradman museum which is a must for a cricket tragic.
Stayed in this motel with friends and was very happy to see that it lived up to the reviews posted on TripAdvisor by previous visitors. Clean, spacious rooms, courteous staff who responded quickly to any request and great value for money.
