Detailed Reviews
Having been locked away for so long, and still unable to fly internationally or even to some domestic states we have started to explore our own back yard. Bowral is an easy 90 minute drive from our home in Sydney, and we looked for an apartment rather than hotel, settling on the Sebel...and it turned out to be a perfect choice for us.
We took a studio, as a family of 3 with a 13 year old, which was more than enough for us in terms of space and facilities. A king size bedroom can be separated from the rest of the room with sliding doors, and the double size sofa bed in the lounge and dining area.
The bathroom has a seperate toilet and shower over a spa bath, and with a washing machine and tumble dryer In another cupboard.
The kitchen area has all that’s needed with microwave, oven, cooktop etc and plenty of crockery etc., with everything spotlessly clean.
The development is shared with residential units, and is very well maintained. A pool and gym is onsite, with access somewhat restricted due to Covid at the moment.
The only downside for the place is that there is no cafe or restaurant, but Bowral is only a short walk or drive to all that the town has to offer.
Service from GM Paul is as everyone notes - helpful, efficient and very pleasant.
All in all a great stay, and recommended.

We were very lucky to have couple nights get away from Sydney pre-Covid lockdown kicked in this week .
Love the apartment (one bedroom) so spacious with all you would need for two to four people . Full kitchen with full size fridge, 4 burner cooktop and half dishwasher. Huge 48” smart tv in the living room ( tv in bedroom also) and a very comfy sofa bed . Bedroom with King size bed and fine linens that smells divine and double spa shower bath in bathroom
The resort is a walkable distance ( 20 minutes ) to Bowral town centre where plenty of shops and restaurants. Must drop in to Dirty Janes antique market in town where lots of treasures to be found. Take a 15min drive to Berrima for some history lesson at the Berrima District Museum and Mrs Oldbucks for some fantastic locally made produce
Love to made a huge thanks to Adam at Sebel Bowral Heritage Park for an extra upgrade to a studio apartment

Dear Ping218, Thank you very much for amazing feedback, I am delighted to hear you were able to enjoy Mini break before the lock down. I have to say this was difficult year with COVID lockdown. Now, lock down restriction has been lift. You should visit Southern Highland. There is so many nice restaurants to enjoy. I took my family to have a breakfast at The Press Shop which was amazing and lunch at the Harry's on Green Lane. I wish I can name all the amazing restaurant at Bowral that you have to try. Thank you very much for supporting local business and we wish to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Kyong Pang Hotel Manager

The hotel section is just part of a much development which seems to consist of mainly permanent residences.
The reference to ‘Heritage Park’ suggests some older buildings or themes but it is actually quite a large contemporary estate.
The reception is only open till 6pm but arrangements are in place to obtain the room key after that time.
The hotel section is set to the rear of the whole property. Depending which room you are allocated the distance from the closest car park can be anywhere from about 20-80m and involve a couple of flights of stairs.
The room was modern and spacious with a complimentary bottle of wine. Wifi was adequate.
There is an indoor pool and small gym.
Overall, it was adequate for our overnight stay but short on charm and I felt not great value.

Our accomodation booked weeks in advanced was cancelled on the day we where to arrive. Just sorry over booked. So they booked us into Peppers Manor house in an entry level hotel room when we had booked a 2 bedroom apartment. The restaurant where we stayed was closed so had to go out for Breakfast lunch and dinner and pay the same money. Absolute joke. Ruined our weekend and we are extremely upset by this. Booked direct with the Hotel as well, rang them and booked and they rang me the day before saying " just confirming the bed configuration for your stay and what time your arriving etc" then 11 am next day "sorry dont have a room". We had grocery shopped for the weekend thinking we would have a kitchen and wasted about $200 in groceries because we had a tiny hotel room each with a very mini bar fridge, no kitchen, no lounge to sit on. Had to watch the football on the ipad as no foxtel anywhere in the place. Disgraceful and never ever again will we book this place. After the past few months being so challenging this weekend was a welcome relief from the chaos and it turned out to be less than average, everything was a problem. I could not be more upset

Thank you for our beautiful accommodation. I stayed two nights in a two bedroom apartment - with three teenage daughters. The apartment was extremely spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, modern kitchen and bathroom with plenty of dinnerware and cooking appliances to prepare a meal, comfortable beds, warm for our winter stay and free wi-fi! The staff were delightful and helpful. It was also closer to the town centre then I thought and an easy ten minute stroll to the shops and cafes. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.

I will only stay at the Sebel in Bowral in the future. The rooms are large, I love the kitchen and the decor. We were a party of 6 and had 3 rooms. Being away for a few days we wanted a break from eating out 3 meals a day and this offered us the perfect opportunity to have breakfasts together in one room and after a big lunch a snack at night together in the hotel. We can't wait to return.

The apartments at this property are large, light & in excellent condition. They are in a block surrounded by owner occupied residential villas. The gardens are kept to a high standard to give an overall quiet, leafy setting.
My negative points would be the block is by a very busy road used by heavy vehicles so sitting outside is almost not possible. Inside very quiet.
The shower is over the spa bath with no hand rail so very tricky almost dangerous. And finally it’s 20 mins walk from town with only one restaurant close so to go out to eat with a drink in town is another concern. Bowral is alive with lunch spots but be aware on Mon & Tues it’s almost closed in the evening unless you want pub grub.

The Sebel Bowral has nice rooms that are tastefully decorated so you feel comfortable and relaxed. Rooms are large and incredibly quiet so you can’t hear your neighbours.
Location is perfect as it is close to the main strip with shopping and dining.
We weren’t fans of the shower in the corner spa bath. I don’t think it would be easy for for some people to get into. Also easy to slip if you aren’t careful. I’m sure this will be rectified in due course when the bathrooms are renovated. We would definitely consider staying again if visiting Bowral.

Lovely superior property, large rooms, fully equipped with oven, microwave etc and wash m/c and Dryer. Most Accor properties with apartment style accom. are excellent but this one really is a cut above. It comes up a little short on facilities, (ie no restaurant) but in terms of comfort, cleanliness, beautiful decor, you will not be disappointed.
Bowral is a lovely wayside stop on your way to Sydney, a delightful bustling but charming little town that is the home of Australian Cricketing Legend Sir Donald Bradman's museum, with loads of top end shops, cafes but also a good spattering of Op shops, if that's your bent. Antiques a plenty, Devonshire teas...dont miss "Dirty Janes" nice little tea house inside, that do the most scrumptious flavored scones (and scented creams and curds...Yum) and very generous pots, like 4 cups, they also do high teas. (looked nice, didn't try) It's just off the main street and has a warehouse full of mainly unmanned independent shops serviced through DJ's. If you can't find something antique..ish there, your not looking. Clothes, records, crockery , bric a brac... Great accommodation in a hidden Gem of a little town.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. 4 couples travelling together for a birthday weekend. Adam at reception was very helpful and friendly and managed to put us in rooms close to each other and close to the car park. Both the studio and 1 bed apartments were spacious and well appointed. Close enough to walk into town . This is a building at the back of a residential complex , so if you are after a bar or restaurant best stay somewhere else. If you are okay with eating out every meal or organised enough to shop before arriving , then the kitchen is fine for whipping up breakfast or lunch. We would stay again!
