Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Liked - King bed was very comfortable and pub etc was within walking distance. Air conditioner worked well and the room appeared to be partially renovated. Disliked - Arrived after nominated check in time and had to wait for tradesperson to finish grouting tiles in bathroom, which by then was after 4pm. Bathroom was very old and small , tiles mouldy. Compendium in room had seen better days, dirty and yukky!

I checked in here late Saturday night after an 8 hour drive and the manager (not sure of his name) was more then helpful and accommodating, the room was fresh and clean, honestly I can't complain one bit, it was quiet considering where the motel is on the road. I've stayed at a few places in ballina and have not walked away thinking I will definitely book in here next time for sure! Thankyou so much

To give this dump a 3 star rating is generous.. indeed one star is generous.. in fact calling it a dump is generous. It’s website is so misleading it verges on criminal misrepresentation. I question the authenticity of the reviews that claim otherwise.

Place is clean, repainted newish furniture friendly staff but, there is no area to place your luggage other than the floor, the A/C is the 70’s type built into the window, heaven help if you were here in summer. With the A/C it’s on and noisy or off and warm. The celling fan gives some relief and at least it’s quiet.

Used as an overnight stop on the way home from Fraser Island. Arrived at 7.30lm to find we didn’t have a triple room as booked but a double. Called the number and they very quickly organised another room even though they were fully booked. Room was basic and clean but only need a bed and bathroom. Couldn’t fit car in car space due to height, we were in 4x4 which was too tall. Road was also very noisy first thing, so if you want to lie in take ear plugs Didn’t use the pool.

The photos are not accurate. The grounds were untidy, and access to the room was at the back, up some old concrete steps. It is an old, tired building and the traffic noise was loud. It's not a restful place. Deciding not to stay, the manager refused a refund for the second night booked. Understandable to lose one night's cost, but not two. $190 per night for a grim, noisy & unfriendly place. It's depressing.

Great management of this property. They were very friendly and accommodating for our large family. We were passing through and this Motel made a great mid way point in our trip. Our rooms were ready on arrival and we found the hosts to be very helpful and accommodated a box trailer too. Beds were comfy, bathroom was a little small, but did the job for us. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Called up at 1930hours and spoke to Shaun. He was more than happy to help regardless of the time. Shaun was kind and friendly, nothing was a bother. Booked and paid for a room for someone who was travelling and needed a last minute stop over. Organised a late check in with a key safe that can be accessed at any time. Was a stress free and easy process. The room was great and clean. Will be using them again. Highly recommended to everyone needing accommodation when in Ballina.

This motel was excellent value. Beds very very comfortable, front desk service helpful and friendly, rooms both very quiet and absolutely spotless. A good convenient location to be based for the weekend.
