Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

While the room itself (10) was spacious enough and clean, there was a definite problem at night.IF you are like me and need a dark room to sleep in, this is not the room for you.The drapes are far too light and the outside drive way lighting illuminates the room until the early hours of the morning.Add to that, on a warm summer night you have two choices, neither were satisfactory….one…take the key out of the door slot so that the bathroom light goes out,( there’s no light switch in the bathroom), even with the sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom closed, it still created too much light in the bedroom.BUT turning off the light also turns off the air con… so, on a hot night…dark room but no air con, or air con and a room too bright to sleep in… Having said all this…the meal delivered to my room ( filet steak, potatoes and steamed veg) was delicious and very well cooked. The lady behind the bar, sorry didn’t get her name was friendly chatty and helpful. The hotel is easy to find and the location well out of the town centre.

We have stayed here many times and dined at the restaurant. The food is delicious and there is no complaints. Our French waiter tonight needs a pay rise . The girl at check in today and tonight needs a career change , RUDE little person. Not ever coming back because of her . To the owners of this business, feel free to reach out

For an overnight stop, this resort offers a convenient location just south of town, with quiet off-street parking & lovely gardens. Admin was also very helpful in organising our short-notice booking. However we will not be able to stay here again. It's because of the bed. We stayed in an Executive Queen room with clean pleasant facilities. Mostly practical, except for the old aircon which we had to turn off, as its rumble was too noisy. However, it was the very-very-very soft bed - that was the problem. 'Marshmallow' was a good comparison. If you have any health concerns needing even minimal bed-support, especially spinal (myself) neck, hip or leg issues, this may be a problem. Even my husband, (who can sleep on almost anything), had an uncomfortable night sleep. I saw a similar comment in a previous review - 'bed was too soft', but thought it may have been a 'one-off'. Not so, unless different units have different mattress-styles, which would be unusual? Having stayed in many accommodation places over the years, we can say that this was the 'softest bed' we had ever tried to sleep on. When we checked-out Admin was closed, so we could not mention our concerns. It is disappointing to include this in our review, but we thought to make other travellers aware.

Amazing service from the young lady at reception and then she brought me my meal in great time . Could not rate her service high enough. She is a credit to the hotel and I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in town or near by. I will definitely be staying again.

🏝We stayed over the weekend, 28.01.24 in an 'Executive Queen Room' was such a lovely space, to reconnect from our busy life. It felt like a holiday in one day! So local to everything within the beautiful region. We loved our room, and surprised, we parked a few steps from our door! Another gift we felt was the quietness within our room, we felt we were the only ones there, yet the Resort was fully booked. Our room was so Spacious, with such a comfy bed and block-out curtains, (beautiful for a nap through the day), a Dinner table, and even a 2nd table to work from (if that's your thing!) Tranquil palm tree landscape, looking out to the big window bringing in light, great TV with Foxtel, and private toilet and 'bath', a Lovely Restaurant & Bar, and even dine-in with room service! Clean Saltwater Pebble Pool and Spa refreshed us and complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi and free 'bike hire'! 10/10 and the beautiful owners are so accommodating and kind. A Wonderful Oasis in Ballina! We travel every weekend with our 'werk' and have had many accustomed Air BnBs, yet the service you receive in 'Ballina Byron Resort' gifts you 'the little things' others do not, in our experiences. When we are in the Ballina Shire, we will be coming back! 100% going to be rebooking and see you again very soon! Thank You Nick & Di🙏 Jonce and Missy 'InfininteHarmony'

Stayed here overnight with a friend in a family room. The room was spacious and very comfortable for us. We took the opportunity to use the free bike hire to ride along the water. The staff at the resort were so warm and welcoming (and understanding when my friend accidentally knocked over their coffee). We’re very sorry about that! The grounds are beautiful, the pool looked so inviting in the humid weather we experienced, and the air con worked well! Thank you for a great stay

Write from our initial call to Reception when we were running late, the young lady on the desk was wonderful, understanding and made us feel wanted. The young lady was just as efficient and nice when booking us in. We had dinner in the Restaurant and the food was amazing, well presented and fresh. I recommend this stay to all. Thank you.
