Deluxe 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabins are well appointed and contain everything you need (except an oven). Clean and staff were friendly. Enjoyed the games room, jumping pillow and free mini golf. The BBQ areas are also close to these cabins. An excellent choice of accommodation for families.

One night stop over so didn’t get to use the facilities are activities but everything looks clean, neat and well maintained. We had an economy cabin. Water pressure great, everything works, hanger in shower to put shampoo etc in (sounds like a small thing but it’s really important but rare). They provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion, dish detergent etc. everything was clean and well maintained.

After hours key collection was easy and all the info about the park was included. Staff were great.

If you can afford it go for the queen bed cabin - it’s worth it.

The park was in a great location. Accomodation was tidy. The owner of the park was walking around the grounds and was happy to stop for a chat. Very friendly. They have a really cool putt putt set up that you can play any time for free. Heaps of nice places to walk to

Small but comfortable cabin. Beautiful walk along the bay. Can either kayak or drive to the pub across the bay.

Stayed in a room with a double and 2 sets of bunks, that can still sleep 6 if there are small children

Bathroom a bit small, but did the job

Given the lack of accommodation in the area due to floods, the price was reasonable. However the cabin listed as 6 berth would only be suited to a married couple with two teenagers and two toddlers.

Luckily I was just sharing with a cricket mate. Everything worked and we enjoyed our stay. Would have been nice to have secure parking for extra vehicle.

I asked for a dog friendly site and was given one the furtherest from all amenities. When I saw where I was I asked the young lady at reception could I please be closer to toilets. She made no attempt to find any other spot or she could have offered me an ensuite which I would have paid for - she just said “ you’ll be right it’s not that far !”
It was way too far . I explained my very small RV doesn’t have a toilet.
At the back of my site was no fence and it lead onto the walking path on the river which anyone could access. I travel alone .
The toilets and showers are old and neat but not many of them.
Glad I’m here one night only

The park staff at reception were welcoming and helpful. The 3br waterfront cabin was a great location and we were really happy with our choice. The cabin is basic and could do with improvements. For example the remote was missing for the bedroom TV, privacy screen between cabins verandahs would be nice and more towels/blankets would be helpful.

I stayed here with my partner and son for two nights, the park is in a great location and is a smaller size compared to others which I like. Unfortunately our fridge was not working but we rang reception and in no time one of the staff had arrived with a key to a vacant cabin to use the fridge until ours could be replaced in the morning which it was. Our cabin was clean and the bed was comfy. The jumping pillow was a bit with our son as was the playground, due to COVID we couldn't use the games room but it did look good. We would stay again.

We had a family reunion at Discovery Parks- Ballina in February 2023. Our group consisted of 65 people (including children). The staff at the park were incredible, very accommodating, booked us all as close as possible and were very helpful with any request to make our gathering fantastic. Most of us stayed in the waterfront cabins, which were all beautifully presented and very comfortable. The location and facilities were excellent for a large group of people. We all absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend! Thank you Jesse, Irene, Kris and team :)

We stayed on Thu 16 May 2024, 1 night, Cabin.
This Park location is great stop-over while cruising up the East Coast.
(In our opinion, Ballina is nicer option than busy Byron).
Location is close to the beach, and a car drive to the town.
Well run, clean, efficient, great and helpful staff.
Recommended.

We had a van site but our family stayed in a cabin and linen was provided. You would just need beach towels for the pool.
