One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at and always like to stay here when I come to Ballina just adds to an already beautiful town. Staying here is worth a visit alone to Ballina. The rooms are a mix of new & old style all handled with tender care. The rooms are spacious with so many wonderful features including all the basics plus biscuits, hot chocolate, green tea, cleaning wipes, water jug and all sorts of kitchen utensils. The bed is the best I’ve slept on, bathroom very updated, place is quiet with next to no noise from other rooms, there’s an outdoor area, nice pool and easy walking access to the Ballina river walking track. Andre, Sebastian and all the team are really amazing. Keep up the great work.

Great place to stay. Comfy bed and pillow. Really homey room felt like staying longer. Easy to book. Great location for walking, water, restaurants, cafes etc.
Highly recommend ! Great little kitchenette. A lovely pool area and a Balinese inspired outdoor lounge area

I booked my one-night stay through Expedia. I got a good deal and thought I would give it a try. It was a fantastic choice.

The location is good. It is off the main highway so it is nice and quiet but still close to the beach and the town centre. The motel itself is lovely. It has been recently renovated so the rooms are fresh. I really liked all of the palms around the grounds, as the name suggests. It gave it a relaxed and tropical feel. There was a pool although I didn't make use of it in winter.

My room was very clean and well appointed. There was a kitchenette with cooking facilities (not that I used them) and there were lovely toiletries provided that I wouldn't ordinarily expect from a motel. It was a very nice touch.

The only feedback I would have is around the reception - the hours are short which I understand being a small place however you are served through a window. This was a bit odd and wasn't particularly welcoming which is a shame because the owner was otherwise lovely.

Had a one night stay at this motel and was very impressed. The room was bright and airy, had a kitchentte area, good size TV and a modern feel. The rooms are rennovated with a Balinese theme and our room was spotlessly clean. The shower is amazing - plentiful hot water with great pressure! It’s the little things that make a big difference - fresh milk in the fridge, quality toiletries, coffee bags and biscuits provided and decent size coffee cups. The bed was comfy and everything felt super clean. The motel website doesn’t do it justice!

Very disappointed in our stay here. This was one of the places my husband was looking rears to staying at. We arrived at the hotel and had to ring the mobile number displayed on the door. A man came out from the residence, he asked us to walk to side window where he handed us our key to room and told us to park in the allocated bay. That was the whole interaction we had at check in. We decided to go for a drive and had to sit in our car and wait whilst a guest had to drive their car out of the drive way as the other side had been blocked by a trailer(I believe this belonged to the owner of the hotel). The room was very dark and small and the bed was uncomfortable. On leaving the following morning, again I had to call the mobile number and was answered by the man again, he told me to leave the key in the room and lock the door. So I had to return to the room to leave the key and lock the door. I am not sure if there was something going for the owners but felt like there was no care to make our stay memorable.

My mother turned 90 yesterday!!
I flew up from Sydney, my brother and his wife drove down from Brisbane and my other sister lives in Ballina.
My mom lives in Florence Price gardens around the corner from this motel my sister booked for us.

Due to Covid we we unable to have a little get together in her nursing home as they were only allowing 2 visitors per day, mum isn’t very mobile so we weren’t to sure where to have a little birthday celebration for mum.

When I arrived to our motel, I was so happy with such beautiful Bali feel, the rooms had everything we needed, clean, comfy bed, nice furniture and a lovely feeling.

My brother and his wife also loved the motel and found a gorgeous Bali hut gazebo that would be perfect for our get together, on asking the owners were only to happy for us to use it and couldn’t do enough for us to make mums day special and all wishing mum a happy 90th birthday!!!!

Thank you so much I will definitely be back!!

Perfect base for stay in Ballina.
Beautifully presented unit and ammenities. Fully equipped kitchenette. Very large shower recess with great pressure and easy control. Feels detached from residential areas while only minutes walk to river, few minutes drive to ocean beach and river mouth, and 5 minutes to city centre, airport and all services. Friendly proprietor. Reasonable rates and I got a good deal for 5 nights stay. My Mum is in local age care home so I travel here from Adelaide regularly, and Ballina Palms Boutique will be my regular home base for all future visits 👍👏

My husband, daughter & I stayed for 1 night on way back to Sydney from trip to North QLD. Lovely themed motel, rooms were well equipped & clean. Beds comfy & sheets lovely & soft. Wish we had more time for daughter to enjoy lovely pool which looked well maintained. Friendly owner. Although room looked out to main road was able to close shutters for privacy & not too noisy. Lovely, convenient location, close to town Centre & lovely walk along the river.

Ballina Palms was a lovely place to stay. The rooms look they have been renovated not too long ago and the window shutters and decor give a lovely tropical feel. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette and even Netflix was available. Close to the centre of town with a car
