My husband, daughter & I stayed for 1 night on way back to Sydney from trip to North QLD. Lovely themed motel, rooms were well equipped & clean. Beds comfy & sheets lovely & soft. Wish we had more time for daughter to enjoy lovely pool which looked well maintained. Friendly owner. Although room looked out to main road was able to close shutters for privacy & not too noisy. Lovely, convenient location, close to town Centre & lovely walk along the river.

I booked my one-night stay through Expedia. I got a good deal and thought I would give it a try. It was a fantastic choice.

The location is good. It is off the main highway so it is nice and quiet but still close to the beach and the town centre. The motel itself is lovely. It has been recently renovated so the rooms are fresh. I really liked all of the palms around the grounds, as the name suggests. It gave it a relaxed and tropical feel. There was a pool although I didn't make use of it in winter.

My room was very clean and well appointed. There was a kitchenette with cooking facilities (not that I used them) and there were lovely toiletries provided that I wouldn't ordinarily expect from a motel. It was a very nice touch.

The only feedback I would have is around the reception - the hours are short which I understand being a small place however you are served through a window. This was a bit odd and wasn't particularly welcoming which is a shame because the owner was otherwise lovely.

My mother turned 90 yesterday!!
I flew up from Sydney, my brother and his wife drove down from Brisbane and my other sister lives in Ballina.
My mom lives in Florence Price gardens around the corner from this motel my sister booked for us.

Due to Covid we we unable to have a little get together in her nursing home as they were only allowing 2 visitors per day, mum isn’t very mobile so we weren’t to sure where to have a little birthday celebration for mum.

When I arrived to our motel, I was so happy with such beautiful Bali feel, the rooms had everything we needed, clean, comfy bed, nice furniture and a lovely feeling.

My brother and his wife also loved the motel and found a gorgeous Bali hut gazebo that would be perfect for our get together, on asking the owners were only to happy for us to use it and couldn’t do enough for us to make mums day special and all wishing mum a happy 90th birthday!!!!

Thank you so much I will definitely be back!!

Very disappointed in our stay here. This was one of the places my husband was looking rears to staying at. We arrived at the hotel and had to ring the mobile number displayed on the door. A man came out from the residence, he asked us to walk to side window where he handed us our key to room and told us to park in the allocated bay. That was the whole interaction we had at check in. We decided to go for a drive and had to sit in our car and wait whilst a guest had to drive their car out of the drive way as the other side had been blocked by a trailer(I believe this belonged to the owner of the hotel). The room was very dark and small and the bed was uncomfortable. On leaving the following morning, again I had to call the mobile number and was answered by the man again, he told me to leave the key in the room and lock the door. So I had to return to the room to leave the key and lock the door. I am not sure if there was something going for the owners but felt like there was no care to make our stay memorable.

For our "take a week off whilst covid is quiet" trip we decided to keep the accommodation simple and spread our money around the towns.
This property is lovely, clean, well maintained and more than adequate for a short or long stay and definitely not simple. It's just a little out of the main town area, more residential, and beautifully quiet as a result. Your daily walk is starting just 50m from the river edge. The staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and responsive - even in the middle of the night. Our room was large, modern, spotless and well equipped with a good sized KITCHEN! Bathroom was also near new and well fitted out. A lot of thought and care has gone into these rooms, definitely not your normal "motel" offering. We will definitely stay again.

Had a one night stay at this motel and was very impressed. The room was bright and airy, had a kitchentte area, good size TV and a modern feel. The rooms are rennovated with a Balinese theme and our room was spotlessly clean. The shower is amazing - plentiful hot water with great pressure! It’s the little things that make a big difference - fresh milk in the fridge, quality toiletries, coffee bags and biscuits provided and decent size coffee cups. The bed was comfy and everything felt super clean. The motel website doesn’t do it justice!

This motel is very close to the city centre. One could even walk there. It is also close to the water’s edge. The room has a little kitchenette, with basic supplies and a microwave. It has tea/coffee making facilities with basics provided. Bathroom is quite modern and well stocked with towels, including beach towels. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious with two arm chairs and a coffee table. Our stay was very comfortable

reviews said quite location so I booked direct to ballina palms boutique motel. On arrival we were showed our room it was the smallest and cramped motel room I have ever stayed in, the photos they show on there web site have to be taken with the widest lens camera available. Bathroom and toilet near impossible to turn around in. Now for the road noise impossible to get to sleep with out ear protection the road is about 10 feet from the windows Trucks buses and cars do quiten a little after midnite but start again before dawn. The bbq.. was thilthy. as was the room in general. so stay some where else.

Ballina Palms was a lovely place to stay. The rooms look they have been renovated not too long ago and the window shutters and decor give a lovely tropical feel. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette and even Netflix was available. Close to the centre of town with a car
