Very much enjoyed two night stay. Breakfast's highlight a huge serve of fruit. Bottle of champagne on arrival. Balcony overlooks property and valley with an array of birds. Alpacas including an adventurous two week old one. Selection of books and DVDs. Large share room with couches and big screen TV. With three rooms it seems to work on who every is first. You guessed - it wasn't us! No bar fridge in room but large share one downstairs.
Would stay again - given card for 10% discount on next visit.

Lovely secluded, relaxing spot at the Acreage, which was a great setup for 4 of us on a girls weekend. 3 spa suites in a separate house from the owners, with kitchenette and large lounge. We organised a mobile beauty spa company to pamper us for the afternoon with our self catered bubbles and snacks. We were far too relaxed to go out, spending the evening watching cable tv Sex & the City reruns and eating takeaway. Continental breakfast plus eggs/bacon for those up for cooking. Coffee pod machine a bonus! Definitely coming back.

I rarely stay at the same place twice, preferring to try new places as i travel. But after my second weekend at the Acreage, all I can think of is when I'll return. I've been once as a couple and once with the whole family where we booked all three rooms. All I can say is that this place is beautiful and so are the hosts. Rick and Marissa feel like old friends, nothing is inconvenient for them and they are incredibly generous with their time and advice. The rooms are stunning, with all the little details thought of, from the beach bag to carry the beach towels to the bath salt for a relaxing bath. the whole place exudes an energy of calm and we rarely left the acreage the whole time we were there, dipping in the saltwater pool, feeding the alpacas, lounging in front of the spectacular view, watching one of the many dvds they supply and just relaxing. I'm hesitant to post this as I want to make sure there will always be a booking for me when I return!!
But truly, The Acreage is an incredible getaway and it's all thanks to those wonderful hosts. Thank you and see you next time!

The property has the potential to be a first rate property with excellent parking, good location, good size units and rooms and a very good pool and barbeque area, however the carpet in the unit my wife and I stayed in was filthy. The managers were kind enough to offer us some others but they were not any better.

Can't speak highly enough about out 2 night stay at The Acreage. Our King bed room was very comfortable and ensuite very clean. Our continental breakfast was ample - would have been lovely to enjoy it on balcony overlooking the scenic views - unfortunately the weather was against us..... We definately want to return in more clement weather

We stayed here for 3 nights mid-week in January 2013. I had researched many other rooms on the Central Coast but found this to be best value at $170 per night including a very substantial Cont Breakfast including: cereal and milk, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, croissants, fruit toast, fruit juice plus Teas and coffee which were always available in the kitchen.
I’m not always one to enjoy a B&B where you share the house with the owners so this one was just what I was looking for. The guest house is separate to the family home connected by a balcony and with only 3 bedrooms upstairs, privacy is excellent. We stayed in the Kookaburra Room with king bed, shower over the small corner spa bath, aircon(we sure needed that on the 40C day/night!!) and wonderful views. The property was immaculate and the owners Rick and Marisa have anticipated every need with exceptional attention to detail.
Downstairs was a dining room and kitchen with teas , capsule coffee machine, toaster, microwave and fridge with many necessities provided for guests use. Across the hallway we relaxed in front of a huge TV watching foxtel and sipping complementary port. It was home away from home.
Like other reviewers, it was the beautiful view and the serenity of the natural surroundings that made this a fabulous holiday break. We so enjoyed sitting over breakfast or sipping champagne at dusk on the balcony .... Just being together in peace. Unfortunately for us 2 mornings we were disturbed halfway through breakfast by a bobcat and digger working on the property and although the owners apologised for the disruption, I feel it could have been avoided if they had explained what was going to happen and offered to serve breakfast ½ an hour earlier. Usually breakfast is at 9am but they were happy to serve it earlier for us when we needed to head off for an early ferry excursion to Palm Beach and Bobbin Head. However this work is not usual and we still experienced other times of sheer contentment.
We ate out at a number of restaurants in Terrigal and if you like Thai we can recommend N Thai Sing, great food and excellent service.
We can thoroughly recommend this property. It is exactly as shown in the photos and info on their website. I am thinking it would be fabulous to book with 2 other couples for a really fun break. Maybe next time!

We stayed in one of three bedrooms (with en-suite bathroom) in an outbuilding with a communal kitchen and lounge. Everything was very tidy, and there were scented candles in the room and chocolates on the bed.

The bath was not really adult-sized, though. Ingredients for breakfast were provided, but you needed to prepare it yourself and wash up afterwards. There wasn't a dishwasher or even a drying rack. When we stayed there, the toilet paper holder fell off from the wall.

Overall though, it was a relaxing break except for some glitches which, for the price charged, we weren't expecting. It's a very picturesque hobby-farm location with a view of lush rolling hills and some farm animals.

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to write a review, we are one of only a handful of properties on the coast to accept single night stays, most of our guests usually stay for 2 or more nights, we switched to self serve breakfasts a while ago following requests from our guests for a more casual and relaxed breakfast in there own time. However a dishwasher would be great, but space is limited, thanks for washing up most dont, we usually do all the cleaning up. Glad you enjoyed our little piece of paradise.

Late in the week, we decided to have a couple of nights away on the Central Coast and found the Acreage B&B to be available. It is located in rural acreage and is reasonably quiet. The room is not overly large, but adequate for 2 night stay with a good covered balcony to sit out on and look out over the valley views, which have unfortunately for the whole area, been somewhat drought effected. The breakfast arrangements worked well enough with the common kitchen and dining area. We had a nice visit but for what is being sold as a premium B&B, the less than premium detail in presentation of the room, the general building and grounds maintenance means that it is difficult to give it a really great rating for what is a reasonably high nightly tariff.

What a wonderful place The Acreage is! Nestled in a peaceful valley at the midpoint between Avoca Beach (5 min drive) and Terrigal Beach (7 min drive) you will find a beautifully appointed B & B. The Acreage is a real oasis of calm and tranquility - after a long day, we relaxed straight away in our room, which came with everything you might expect and was also large, light and spotless. Marisa and Rick, the owners, couldn't have been more welcoming and generous with their time. Highly recommended. We look forward to returning.

My friend and I just travelled from Melbourne to the Central Coast of NSW and stayed at The Acreage. It exceeded all of our expectations. Our host Marissa, was just delightful and so very helpful with advice and directions even before we arrived, and even more delightful in person. Spectacular views and surroundings from every corner of this spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated luxury B&B. The service was second to none and we will definitely be returning to stay. Such a relaxing place to be. Thanks Marissa you definitely made our trip so worthwhile!
