A lovely experience, especially for someone who appreciates the beauty of nature. A wake up call from lorikeets the calming night sounds of owls hooting, and the slow rustle of the trees in the breeze. The rooms are kept neat and tidy, and breakfast can be gluten free and vegan, all diets catered. Fantastic when you just need a couple of days break from the City!

Don't expect manicured gardens, nor windows without cobwebs. On arrival down a VERY steep and windy drive, the property is painted grey, looks unwelcoming, and uncared for and quite desolate. But once through the doors, the interior is immaculate. The room was clean, airy and very tidy and provided all one's needs - right down to an iron and ironing board and decent coffee (something I found really difficult to source in OZ). The linen was good quality and nicely pressed. Sliding doors lead to a shared verandah looking over and into a variety of native trees and shrubs; it felt like being in a tree house. Breakfast was continental however there was also the option of a cooked breakfast too. This could be eaten in the guest lounge/dining room or on the verandah outside one's room. Here, cockatoo's and larakeets also come to join you. The host, Sheldon, was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Price wise, you get what you pay for - this was worth it.

So if you are looking for an escape from the cacaphony, hustle and bustle and/or oppressiveness of Sydney (or any other similar place) swap it for the cacaphony of a wonderful dawn chorus followed by peace and solitude surrounded by nature here, because this really is a lovely getaway place. With only three double rooms and a separate family "lodge" it is very tranquil - an ideal place to while away the hours and reflect on life. Not good for young families as there is no where to play other than in the overgrown natural vegetation or the lounge.
You will need a car as there is not much in the immediate locale (great!) apart from a very good restaurant next door. There is nothing I can comment on that I didn't like - I loved the whole place and if I am back in the area this is one place I would quite happily come back to (assuming the standard remains) - so highly and happily recommended.

My Husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Riley's Bed & Breakfast for our wedding night! Sheldon the owner went above and beyond for us from sorting out a romantic room, helping us book dinner at Bombini, and making us our breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend the b&b as it was peaceful, very clean, and beautiful view! We will be heading back there again :)

These guys refused to talk to me unless I first provided my cell phone details and other personal information. For those who value their privacy, especially if you don't land up booking here, be warned.

My husband & I are local to the Central Coast & thought we would check out Riley's B&B for an overnight stay / mini break. Sheldon was the perfect host with just the right balance of being helpful but not intrusive. Our B&B experience was relaxing & felt quite private... I would definitely stay again. The room was spotless, modern & spacious with a very comfortable bed (most important!). In the evening we got a taxi to Terrigal which has a number of bars & restaurants & is a 5 minute drive away. It was lovely to have nice lie in the next morning & we didn't hear any noise from the other guests. Sheldon topped the experience off with a delicious breakfast.

The Central Coast struggles for a good choice of hotels and B+B's are a good alternative. This one is great with bush outlooks from every room, Cockatoos, King Parrots and all sorts of other birdlife. Interesting history to the place as well. The rooms are modern and well equipped, but sitting outside enjoying the bush and birdlife is the place to relax. Secluded spot and easy to find but being a main road doesn't mean a lot of road noise since it's well off the road. Price is quite reasonable also.

Drove to Terrigal for the October long weekend. Riley's bed and breakfast kindly took us in last minute, their hospitality was warm and inviting and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Our room opened up onto a big outdoor deck area which is surrounded by tranquility, such a beautiful setting. Highly recommended for an escape from the busy life to enjoy the real beauty of the coast.

Found Rileys on the internet whilst searching for accommodation for a wedding nearby. Looked lovely online but was even more impressed once I arrived. We received a very warm welcome from Sheldon, the owner. The room was lovely and the surrounding grounds beautiful. To top off our stay we got up in the morning to the most amazing breakfast....a huge fruit bowl, toast, cereal and lots of other goodies. Would definitely recommend Rileys and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My family and I visited Riley's for a weekend away together. Since there were 12 of us we hired out both the "barn" and the B and B.

Since this is not the kind if establishment normally catered for large groups such at ours, I have reviewed based from a couples perspective.

The location is peaceful, with lots of native wild life. Hearing the birds in the morning in the trees was lovely, as well as looking out at the view from your balcony.

The amenities in the B and B were good, each room was modern, clean and comfortable.
The barn, a little less modern and well appointed, we felt, needs a little TLC and updating.

Some suggestions for improvements:

- The driveway needs to be better lit at night, as it is quite steep.

- The air con in in the main room did not switch on.

- The dogs at the property are best to be kept well away from the guests, or out of view so they did not feel the need to bark.

Overall our experience at Riley's was a very positive one, and the host Sheldon was very friendly, accommodating, willing to help and answer to our every need. He was also even kind enough to make some pizza dough for us to make our homemade pizzas.

Sheldon really went above and beyond, and with a few minor improvements Riley's is well on its way to be a stand out on the Central Coast.
