Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very small town on the snowy mountains highway and for us it was used for a base to go hiking in the Jagungal wilderness - it’s not a town full of jumping vibe, more so country hospitality-

Hotel was clean, quite and rooms were small but modern enough and beds wee also comfy...

Recommend if your stopping in the area.

They got small rooms but were clean and tidy. It has the basic needs you need. They're also providing extra blanket in the room in case you need one which is a good gesture. Room rate a bit expensive.

A very lovely stay - the rooms are very small but clean.

Don't expect anything extraordinary but it's a great little place if you want to stay somewhere close to the resort (only 30mins drive).

Great nice ski weekend stay over.

Adaminaby is not a hopping spot to travel to, though I would recommend the Snowy Mountain River Museum. The Selwyn Star Lodge has a lovely large lounge with wood burning fireplace. The lodge is on the main street, but the main street is not busy at night, so our room was quiet. This is a no frills lodge, where you won't be spending much time in your room - it is very small, but perfectly clean. Can walk to local pub and bakery. The owners are lovely, and their lounge is a perfect place to relax, read a book, enjoy wi-fi/TV and take a moment to put up your feet.
