Decided to try Merrickville for a staycation and my wife and I were definitely not disappointed. The historic inn used to be the largest department store between Chicago and Montreal back in the mid-1800s and its impressive inside and out. The location is also perfect - right in the middle of all the stores and shops. We were greeted at...

My wife and I were there on Saturday night. We had no problems at all. Amy was extremely accommodating when we arrived. We also enjoyed the live music at the end of the evening. Room was nice. She also had a bottle of wine in room for when we got tgere:)

My friend and I were travelling thru Merrickville on our way to Ottawa on Sept 10. We walked down the quaint Main Street and decided to have lunch here. What a great choice! The pub and formal dining room are open concept divided by a centre elegant bar. There are tv's for sports fans to watch a game. The service...

WE found this to be a pleasure to dine in the 1860 era dining and restaurant surroundings. Staff were friendly and courteous. The interior design and craftsmanship is just fantastic .Menu's was short and sweet but the food was presented well and delicious.

The outside of the hotel is beautiful, unfortunately the interior does not match. The décor was tired, the bed was uncomfortable and the room needed a good cleaning. The shower was wedged into what appears to be closet. It was so low my husband could not stand up in it. The TV only got one fuzzy channel and there was...

Everything was exceptional food service and room, the hotel is a heritage building and is kept extremely clean. If you ask the staff anything they will answe it or get the answer quickly. You are close to all the stores and can walk to them in minutes. Everyone in town are friendly makes you feel like family. Planning on returning...

Originally I was just looking for a sandwich however the Inn only offers a dinner menu. I had cocktail and ordered the Schnitzel - it did not take long but I was a bit disappointed, it was deep fried and only came with mushed potatoes - being European Schnitzel is one of my favourite dishes. If it's grilled on a...

Honestly you could not pay me to visit this dissappointment of a restraunt again. First of all there was an event in town and they chose to have ONE waitress on at DINER time. So as you can imagine she was streached a little thin. BUT before the restraunt was even full and there was a managable amount of tables...

we were given a dinner reservation for 8pm in the dining room. When I showed up I was told the kitchen closes at 8pm, and we should go to the Goose and Giridon. I persisted because of the reservation, then we were told my friend better show up soon, and we were denied dining in the dining room even though...
