Popped in last minute after trip round Charlestown. Lovely atmosphere and food was very good. Recommend potted crab and gourmet burgers. Prices were as expected for location. Didn't get to see Poldark tho.

Would have 5 stars, but for the delay in serving my meal. After an hour it was served with an apology. The Bream was fantastic and the mussels devine. Everyone was polite and helpful. They did offer free dessert. But we were so full from the delicious food. Will be back.

Spent the evening at the Rashleigh whilst staying at the T'gallants guest house (owned by the Rashleigh). Food was excellent and there is a good selection of beers available. Went on a Friday and the pub was very busy, so booking a table appears to be a must on busier nights of the week. There is a large car park...

We recently stayed for 3 nights in a superior room. It was very spacious and nicely decorated/furnished and the bathroom appeared to have been newly renovated. Initially I was a little concerned that we overlooked the road but traffic was not an issue as basically it is not a through road and just used for access into the village. We...

Stayed here 7/10/16 with my daughter on our way to look at Falmouth uni. The welcome from staff was friendly and although very busy, spent time explaining check in and even got us a table for a meal. The room was a standard twin. Gorgeous room, quiet, small window but lovely view. Bathroom small but plenty big enough for us....

Thank you for taking the time to pass on your comments regarding your stay at The Rashleigh Arms. The team works extremely hard to ensure that all our guests receive first class service at all times, so it is always nice to have that feedback from our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Went here for Sunday lunch with the in laws. Service at the bar was poor, we had booked a table and were left standing at the bar for ten minutes with no real explanation of what was going on. Eventually we're shown to a different table than the one we booked (another party had been seated there). Browsing the menus...

I would like to recommend this place, and this b+b. Charlestown is a lovely spot, and has numerous interesting places to visit. The Rashleigh Arms serves excellent food, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Good value, too.

The Pub, food and staff are fine. However take care if you book a room in T'Gallants. We stayed in room 3 to find the bathroom is more liken to a wardrobe. Extremely small, just a shower, toilet and washbasin, almost impossible to enter and close the door of the room and very difficult to dry after having a shower...

Another great meal at the Rashleigh Arms in Charlestown near St. Austell. Once again there was a large choice on the menu and again our meal was very good. It gets very busy here, particularly during the summer months so it is best to book a table. Also the car park, although large has a very uneven surface and is...

Rooms were clean, shower was great, food was delicious the position was great next to Charlestown heritage harbour with it heritage dock and buildings. Room a little noisy so close to road and the room was very hot but other than that was a quaint place to stay

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, formerly West Polmear, Charles Rashleigh. It also boasts probably one of the only Grade II listed car parks in the country, basically the site of old coal storage yards, and is situated in a World Heritage Site. The Rashleigh is ideally positioned in central Cornwall and provides an excellent jump off point for lots of great attractions with the world famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within five miles radius. We are also within sight of the historic Tall Ships and Charlestown harbour, a world heritage site and an attraction in itself. The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food from 12 - 9pm every day; and if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more! ... more   less
