I have recently stayed here twice on business, the staff are always so welcoming. I use T'Gallants building they own on the other side of the car park. The room a beautifully presented. Breakfast is also excellent with hot food cooked to order. Beautiful location in the harbour of Charlestown. Although I haven't eaten a dinner here what coming out...

Visited Charlestown recently, went into the Rashleigh arms for lunch. It was a good choice, even on a Monday the restaurant was reasonably busy. Food was ordered and after a little wait it arrived. Meal was great, freshly prepared and friendly waiting staff. The restaurant has a nautical theme in it, quite apt as you are only a short walk...

We stayed in the annexe just down the road from the main building. A lovely old mansion overlooking the little harbour with a view of the sea beyond. The room had good décor, reasonable size but the 'en suite' was cramped to say the least. No room to hang 2 towels. We ate at the main building breakfast and dinner....

Lovely weekend break. Beautiful setting in Charlestown. The room (Gig) was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and convenient for bar and restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Carvery was very good. Downside 2 miles from brewery and ran out of Tribute..never mind Proper Job was good. 🍺🍺🍺

On 02/11/2016 three of us made the mistake of having ameal here. Waist of £40. The jacket potato was dry and no butter provided. The chicken curray was totally inedible. No chicken(but plenty of potato) and a vey weak enaemic sauce. The gammon could not be chewed. This was returned and a plain jacket potato provide free of charge-big deal....

Stayed in the guest house annex .It was clean, comfortable and relaxing.Excellent location and good parking.A good selection for breakfast but ran out of croissant and smoked haddock. Dinner in the restaurant was good with a varied menu.As expected of a brewery owned hotel there was a superb range of beers. Overall a really good weekend and will definitely visit again.

Popped in last minute after trip round Charlestown. Lovely atmosphere and food was very good. Recommend potted crab and gourmet burgers. Prices were as expected for location. Didn't get to see Poldark tho.

Would have 5 stars, but for the delay in serving my meal. After an hour it was served with an apology. The Bream was fantastic and the mussels devine. Everyone was polite and helpful. They did offer free dessert. But we were so full from the delicious food. Will be back.

Spent the evening at the Rashleigh whilst staying at the T'gallants guest house (owned by the Rashleigh). Food was excellent and there is a good selection of beers available. Went on a Friday and the pub was very busy, so booking a table appears to be a must on busier nights of the week. There is a large car park...

We recently stayed for 3 nights in a superior room. It was very spacious and nicely decorated/furnished and the bathroom appeared to have been newly renovated. Initially I was a little concerned that we overlooked the road but traffic was not an issue as basically it is not a through road and just used for access into the village. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, formerly West Polmear, Charles Rashleigh. It also boasts probably one of the only Grade II listed car parks in the country, basically the site of old coal storage yards, and is situated in a World Heritage Site. The Rashleigh is ideally positioned in central Cornwall and provides an excellent jump off point for lots of great attractions with the world famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within five miles radius. We are also within sight of the historic Tall Ships and Charlestown harbour, a world heritage site and an attraction in itself. The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food from 12 - 9pm every day; and if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more! ... more   less
